Veronica smiles as she hands Cheryl a plate with scrambled eggs and toast before she sits down across from her on her bed.

"Thanks V"

"Anything for my best friend" Veronica grins.

Cheryl frowns but has a smirk on her face. "What do you want V?"

"Nothing" she says and shakes her head. "But there is something I need to tell you"

"What is it?"

"I'm— moving out"

"What? Nooo" she whines.

"I can move in with the Andrews'. That makes so much sense for now. It's easier. Maybe when we got a routine I'll move into my own apartment but for now I'm going to live with them. Toni can move in now"

"Yeah you're right but I'll miss you V"

"I'll miss you too Cheryl. You're my best friend"

Tears run down the red heads cheeks. She places her plate aside. Then wraps her arms around her friend and kisses her cheek before she hold her close. They've been living together since they graduated from High School. They always have been inseparable for as long as they can think but it's time they both start their own life. They can still be best friends.

"When will you move out?" Cheryl whispers

"Saturday"

"So soon?"

"I'm sorry Cheryl" Veronica sighs and squeezes her friend close before she pulls back but reaches for her hands. "I'm sure Toni is willing to move in as quickly as possible though"

"Yeah" Cheryl laughs. "You're Right"

Veronica smiles "will you help me pack my stuff?"

"Sure but I want to choose the music we're listening to!"

"Fine" Veronica groans. When it comes to music they have a totally different taste. They can never agree on something. They always fight but it's part of their friendship and even though they probably won't admit it, they will miss it both.

"Can I have this? You know— to remember you?" Cheryl asks as she stands in front of Veronica's full length mirror and holds a dark blue blouse in front of her chest.

"Noo" Veronica whines "this is my favorite blouse Cheryl. You know that"

"I like it too" she grins. She lets her friends suffer a little longer before she turns and throws the blouse at Veronica. "Here cry baby"

"Cry baby? This is my blouse"

"Whatever" Cheryl giggles. "Are you excited to move in with the Andrews'"

"Excited is not the right word. I'm looking forward to a new chapter of my life. I won't live there forever. Once we have a routine or I maybe have a boyfriend I will move out"

Cheryl smirks. "My sweet little baby V wants a boyfriend"

"Shut up!" Veronica groans and throws a pillow at the redhead.

"It's cute. I support it" she laughs "what about the handsome twin- daddy you'll live with?"

"Eww Cheryl! He's my boss. Stop it!"

Cheryl falls on to the bed laughing. She loves teasing her friend. It's so much fun. Veronica always blushes so quickly. "Sorry" she giggles.

"Can you just help he pack the last few things that are lying around?"

"Yeah sure" Cheryl says. She's still grinning widely. "When will Archie and the kids be here?"

"Uhm" Veronica says and takes a look at her phone. It's 12 pm. "Two hours. Archie said we're going to Pop's for Milkshakes and fries"

"Like a date" Cheryl grins.

"I swear, if you don't stop right now, I'll kill you!"

"Fine, Fine" she laughs. "I'm sorry"

"Mhm"

"I really am"

"Okay" Veronica laughs. "So when will Toni move in?"

"Next week"

"Exciting, exciting. I want to be invited to a little girls night then"

"Definitely V. I promise"

"Hello Veronica!" Ella squeals as the raven haired woman opens the door. Ben holds on tight to his father's hand. He looks shy even a little scared.

Veronica smiles at the little boy. " hi Benny"

"Hi Veronica" he mumbles. He looks up to her for a second. Ella confidently walks into the apartment and looks around. It makes Veronica laugh she steps aside and lets Archie and Ben walk in too.

"This looks pretty" Ella smiles. She turns around as she can hear another person walk into the room. She looks up to the woman in front of her with the long red hair.

"Hi you must be Ella" Cheryl smiles.

"Mhm. You have the same hair color like my daddy!" she says and points to Cheryl's head.

"Then your daddy is a really lucky guy. Red heads are really cool" she grins.

"Look, my hair has a little little tint of red too"

"Oh you're right" Cheryl giggles "then I officially welcome you to the club of redheads"

"Yay" Ella laughs. She claps her hands before she turns back to Veronica and reaches for her hand. "Come on let's go I want a milkshake"

"Honey we have to put all my stuff in your daddy's car first"

The little girl groans and lets her hands fall to her side. "But that will take forever"

"It'll be over faster when you help love" Archie chuckles.

"But daddy I'm just a little girl I can't help"

"You'll help baby. You can carry a pillow or something"

"Fine but Benny has to help too" she says as she takes Veronica's hand back into hers.

"Yes Ella" Archie chuckles.

About half an hour later all of Veronica's boxes are in Archie's car. He watches with the kids holding his hands as Veronica says goodbye to her friend. They hold each other close and even tears are rolling down their cheeks.

"I'll miss you V"

"I'll miss you too Cheryl, so much but I mean I only move a couple of blocks anyway. We can still hang out whenever we can" she giggles.

"I know but still" Cheryl smiles. She squeezes Veronica close and kisses the side of her head a couple of times before she pulls back but still holds her hands. She turns to Ella and smiles. "You little missy, take good care of my best friend"

"Yes Ma'am" the little girl giggles.

Cheryl turns to Veronica one last time before she lets go of her friend. Veronica waves and then follows Archie and the kids outside of the apartment. Her, now old, apartment.
