ANGIE'S P.O.V

I sat in the lounge upstairs of the tour bus. The phone began to ring, and I honestly was feeling a bit nervous and scared of what my parents were going to say. It wasn't as easy, but one way or another I had to tell them because they would eventually find out and obviously someone was going to find out about Matt and I.

"Hello?" My dad answered.

The voice of my dad scared me. My dad was the overly protective type, he didn't like any guys his daughters dated even if we were married then maybe a bit, but he expected a lot from me and my siblings, he didn't want failure, he wanted success. He didn't accept anyone without a reason, and he has high expectations from all of us. For example my oldest brother is the CEO of a large welding company, my older sister is a lawyer in Hollywood, my second oldest sister is a thoracic surgeon, I am a rockstar, my younger brother is a successful veterinary owning the business, and my youngest brother is in college at Harvard university studying medical to be a heart surgeon, and that's what I meant, he always has high expectations from us. To say that I was the less successful one, but I made more than them combined in a week so that was just as fine for me.

"Hello, dad, it's Angie"

"Oh hello, what's going on? Is everything okay?" He asked sounded worried.

"No no, I mean everything is okay, nothing going on, I just wanted to see how things were going with you" I said just to loosen him up a bit.

"I'm doing good, everything is okay here at the house, I'm just helping with dinner with Sarah, we're making homemade Italian Bufala" he said sounding happy.

Sarah is my dad's girlfriend, my parents divorced when I was young, my dad lives in Arizona while my mom and stepdad live in Colorado.

"That's sounds good! I miss those homemade dinner especially with lemon tea" I said laughing as he also laughed, "Dad you better save some for me" i joked.

"I'll send Terry some so he can give it to you" he laughed.

"Ahh Terry is going to eat it all before he even delivers it, and when or if it gets delivered then the boys will eat it all" I laughed joking.

"Probably Corey right?"

I stopped and a bit worried.

"What's wrong girl?"

"I actually have something to tell you", it went quiet for a minute, "Dad, Corey and I aren't together anymore"

It was silence for awhile.

"We've been having some problem, like a lot of problems in our relationship, it happened even before Paul died, I guess he didn't want kids and I didn't know that and after Paul passed on he stop talking to me and he basically cut me off, and a month later he started to talk with Stephanie, that one girl I've told you about, and they began dating, which really hurt me because he moved on so fast" it was quiet again but this time it was about a minute, "Dad, are you still there? Please answer me"

"Yeah sweetheart I'm still here" quiet once again, "Well Angie all I can say is if you're not happy with him then don't go back to him, all I want is for you to be happy"

Wow that was a surprise especially coming from my dad. I thought he would've yelled and got super mad.

"I thought you would be mad"

"I'm not mad, if you weren't happy with him then why would i want you to stay with him if my youngest daughter wasn't happy to be with him, I'm glad you told me this sweetheart, I just want you to be happy" he said, still I was in shock.

"Thanks dad, I love you!" I said in happiness.

What I was scared of the most was my dad getting mad at me but thankfully he wasn't.

"I love you too sweetheart, bye and take care of yourself, I hope you and your brothers are taking care of each other"

"We are" I laughed, and silent for a moment "Hey dad?"

"Yeah sweetheart?" He questioned, probably knowing what I was going to say next.

"I haven't told mom yet, right now I can't talk to her because it's kind of hard especially for her to understand, so I was wondering if you could tell her?"

More silence. I swear this silence is gonna kill me.

"I knew you were gonna ask that, but I'll tell her for you, I'll call her right after dinner and I'll talk to her about it, but I'll only tell her what you told me, questions she has, you have to answer" he said calmly

"Thank you dad, I gotta go, I love you and Sarah, take care" I said smiling even though he couldn't see me.

"I love you too, and take care, remember when times get hard don't hesitate to tell me" he said, "Bye sweetie and make sure to call me when your in the state so I can come see you"

"I sure will, bye" I said ending the call.

END OF PHONE CONVO

I am super happy my dad didn't get mad.

You see, girls in my situation would always run to their moms for help, but I ran to my dad because I knew I could count on him to help me, especially since I couldn't tell my mom now since she wasn't as understandable as my dad is. If I told her about Corey she would be yelling and telling me "He's a good man, why?" When obviously she didn't know the worst of him because he only showed her the best at family dinners when we'd visit them or they'd visit us.

I walked downstairs and saw Matt sitting down on the sofa.

"I told my dad, and I asked him to tell my mom and he said he would"

"Well that's good, I didn't hear any yelling so it must've gone good" he smiled.

"It did, and I'm glad it went good, usually he'd be yelling and saying stuff but he didn't, you have no idea how scary my dad can get" I said laughing.

"I sure he's scary, I wouldn't want to meet him" he joked, "well the show doesn't start until later and I know you don't want to go out, so what should we do?"

"Yeah" I said trailing off.

My mind still fixated on the part "I wouldn't want to meet him" is it the part of me questioning whether or not I have a future with Matt or what?
