《Crazier Then You (Twilight // Crazy Jane)》Chapter 13

Jane laid on her bed looking at the blank ceiling deep in thought of tonight's event. She told Paul about her pst and he immediately wanted to seek vengeance for her. She wouldn't admit it to anyone but the way he was so passionate about it, it made a flutter appear in her tummy. Maybe it was the fact he cared or maybe it was just Hammerhead itching to fight a priest. Either way a ghost of a smile on her face that felt foreign, the underground buzzing lowly with murmurs. Her eyes began to shut to go speak to them when the door swung open making her jump up away from the bed wide eyed. A pale tired looking Bella looked confused and concerned as her cousin stood stiffly as far from the bed as possible. Once she caught sight that it was Bella she released a sigh of relief thinking she needed to get out of La La land long enough to lock the door next time.
"Hey um I was just wondering how your date went with Paul?" Bella mumbled yet sounded as if she had any right to know making Jane look her up and down. "It wasn't a date and it was fine. How about your triple date?" Jane mocked walking slowly to sit on the bed knowing Bella was too weak to try anything anyway. "Well that's good.... that it wasn't a date. And neither was mine it was supposed to be a whole group that just kinda bailed." Bella said looking at her feet as Jane stared at her with a bit of annoyance. She hadn't been invited. She's could guess if Mike went it was their friend group from school, hell she even invited Jake and not her. Jane laughed bitterly muttering a simple figures before her eyebrows shut up realizing what else Bella had said.
"Why is it good that I wasn't on a date with Paul?" She asked and the look on Bella's face made her bite her lip harshly to contain herself from lashing out. "He's a player Jane. I don't want to see you getting hurt. Plus he's in a cult according to Jake so you shouldn't associate with him or his little gang." Bella explained like it was common sense only fueling Janes anger as everyone in the underground watched also annoyed with the pale face girl. "That's funny. It almost seems like you think your better then me Bella? Who I make friends with is no concern to you or your little screw buddie. Besides if you were so worried about me hanging out with the wrong crowd you wouldn't have excluded me from the little movie party huh?" Jane sneered balling her fists up to avoid punching her cousin in the face.
"I didn't mean to not invite you. I just forgot. Besides they were my friends first anyway I have a right to want to have some time with friends and not family. Jesus Jane.... I don't know what happened to you but maybe you shouldn't have left the hospital." Bella rambled with a red face obviously also angry. Jane slowly stood off the bed jaw locked and peered closer to her cousins face before laughing coldly. "Sorry the girl who went ape shit over her ex and his family is calling me crazy? The girl using jacob a younger more impressionable teenager for her problems is calling ME crazy? You know what's good for you Bella, you'd walk your pasty ass back to your room now." Jane said in a low emotionless voice towards the end but Bella was stubborn.....

"Whatever you say crazy Jane. Just remember who's house you live in." Bella said scoffing and beginning to walk away when Jane ran forward slamming the door shut trapping Bella inside with her. "You think your so great don't you? That your shit doesn't stink? Do you honestly think I wanted to come here in the first place? Hell had I known I'd be dealing with a complete freak I would have stayed there and endure it then be here with you Bella. Because you can call me crazy all you like but take a look in the mirror, pining yourself for a guy who was WAY out of your league." Jane said taking a threatening step forward as Janes face twisted into a scarier scowl. "Hammerhead let me leave." Bella sighed trying to act unafraid but that only made Jane laugh. "I'm still Jane. You should be happy hammerhead or Katy doesn't surface you'll be dead in seconds. If your smart. Leave now." Jane said her arms shaking as Bella ran out of the room.
She laid on her bed again this time successfully going to the underground where everyone was riled up even baby doll was calling Bella a meanie. All in a group ready to resort to violence but the doctor was trying to calm everyone. "She's going through a harsh time. Soon she will be ready and apologize." But everyone wanted one now or to hurt her. "She is Kay's only family that she has left. We can not have the host body shutting down." Doctor Harris explained making everyone but slowly agree before things went silent and all eyes on Jane.
"You told Paul you must love him." Karen said with a lopsided smile gushing on and on how much he cared. "Yeah that's not just your secret to tell." Hammerhead bit back roughly. "It slipped okay? Besides maybe if people know they can stop upsetting us so much and it's not love Karen." Jane tried justifying her actions and no one looked to buy it for one second. "Or maybe it is because you like him." Scarlett laughed lowly with a seductive smirk hinting she could understand why. "I can not handle you all and your assumptions I'm going to bed." Jane said sighing and beginning her way to the train to go to the surface. Everyone whispering behind her as she tried to ignore them and leave but her head was connected no matter what. She could feel their worries and it made her begin to wonder if she was being selfish. But their was one emotion from an unknown source that seemed to trump everyone else's concerns saying it was okay.

Bella had been trying to reach Jake in days.... almost a week and he hadn't responded to her. Jane didn't really feel bad for her after her little stunt the night a few days ago. But when she tried reaching out to Jake she received the same treatment that made her furrow her eyebrows and instantly get upset. She had opened up to him, and he told her countless times he wouldn't leave her and yet..... it became a two weeks since she had seen him at the theater. Paul was texting her none stop however and not once did they speak of Jake. Jane didn't want to show how much it was affecting her but her suspicion was rising. Her thoughts running to Embry and how he hated the supposed Cult yet switched to there side seemingly after a few weeks.

Jane connected the dots quickly before running to Bella's room to see her getting ready. "I need you to take me to Jakes." Jane said strongly when really she felt like she'd been infected by the cults diseases. She had trusted Paul and assumed he'd tell her if something changed up, even Embry who had been texting to her since she had been at Sams weeks ago. "I was actually heading there myself.... I need to speak with him alone." Bella stated matter of factly making me raise a brow at her before walking up to her eerily calm. "If I can't go I'll sure as hell make sure you can't. Besides..... I think I'll get there first even." Jane smirked running down the stairs and out the door. Using Katie's powers she melted Bella's tires and laughed menacingly loving torturing Bella's truck. Then she used another one of her Personalities Flint, he could poof her to Jakes within seconds.
When she got there it suddenly began raining making her curse a storm before she saw someone leaving Jakes house. At first his build and hair reminded her of Paul, then she saw his tattoo and before saying Paul's name it got caught in her throat. Her eyes widened as he looked up and met her stare, she froze and felt her insides breaking down at the harsh look he gave her. "Jake? What happened to you?" Jane mumbled but he somehow heard it and looked towards the trees before approaching her. "I'm sorry Jane. But we can't be friends anymore." Jake said strongly having just said the same thing on the phone to his lifetime friend Quil minutes ago. But as Jane looked to him he felt guilty, he didn't want to do this face to face fearing she would beat him up like she would anyone else. Instead she looked ready to cry, somehow making it worse considering Jane wasn't a sensitive person.... At least she didn't cry much.
"Did I do something wrong? I didn't mean to- I'm sorry if someone else did something and I don't remember it. Sometimes that happens-" she began to ramble as he cut her off with a scoff pretending to hate her. He knew she wouldn't leave easy and knew he'd have to push her away to make her go willingly. "It's not you Jane it's me. You should just leave, I don't want you here. I never wanna see you again understood?" He snapped making Jane go silent and look off in the distance before someone else came up to the surface. "O-o-o-oh dear. I'm sorry. I- I came through because-" penny began saying before someone else came through this time it was baby doll. She was already crying and her little pig tails were lying damp on her shoulders as large amounts of tears came out she couldn't even speak. Next came hammerhead who just looked pissed, any evidence of tears gone now as she stared at Jake coldly. Next was flint standing similar to a guy before poofing them back to Bella's house.
Bella was still pissed about her car to notice her cousin slip past her and into the house looking blank faced. No one at the surface as the body walked by itself. Everyone in the underground began bickering about having told Jake the truth of their past. The body even ran into a wall before falling limply to the floor. It then got itself up and walked upstairs and into Bella's bed before going to sleep. "WE TRUSTED HIM!" Hammer head yelled pissed off that they had let their guard down. "NO WE TRUSTED JANE!" A voice yelled out making Jane look around to everyone glaring at her now. "This wasn't my fault. How was I supposed to know-" she began saying before Scarlett laughed before smiling bitterly. "And little Paul knew about it and hasn't said anything for weeks?" She spat annoyed the man she saw as a little toy wasn't as good of a guy as they all thought.
The only people siding with Jane was Penny, and Karen. Karen on the side of love that Paul had a reason to keep it secret, and Penny that Jake was a good guy. "We should not blame Jane. People this happens in everyone's lives..... you out grow a person. Their not the person you first knew and liked anymore. He's a teenage boy probably hitting puberty which sparks changes." Dr Harris said with a know it all voice. Everyone's anger soon dispersed disappearing into understanding and sadness. "How could he just.... leave." Baby doll asked with a quivering lip that made Jane sigh sadly and hug her. "Men are shit. I guess I forgot that." She said in a monotone voice knowing she had caused all this pain trusting the wrong person. "But what about Paul?" Karen asked with big puppy dog eyes also filling with tears as Jane looked down.
"He didn't say anything about this. Jake probably told every single one of them as I texted and called his cell. They probably sat around laughing about it." Jane said trying to cover her voices shakiness. "They probably did all this. For some stupid prank or something, their probably laughing about it right now. How could I be so stupid?" Jane cried the last bit surprising everyone since Jane rarely showed weakness in front of them. They could all feel the pain that ran through her body, most especially the betrayal. Everyone silent and taking in what they believed to be the truth. "Jane just go to the surface. We will discuss what to do." Dr Harris said trying to comfort the girl who pushed away and her tears dried immediately. "No. Because I know what I must do. I let them in, I let them hurt us and I won't let them do it again." Jane snapped angry and appearing back to her body's consciousness.
She slowly sat up taking in the fact she was laying in bed now before getting up and going to her own room. She was pacing unsure of what to do or say at this point. Before she had even thought it fully through her hands were grabbing at her phone and texting Paul. 'Whatever this was its over. I'm not gonna be part of your guys sick joke. Tell Jake I get it now. And don't worry I won't have a reason to bother you guys anymore. You could've just told me I was a nuisance or that me and the other personalities were too much for you guys to handle. Also if you ever tell anyone what I admitted to you I'll come kick your ass. Goodbye." Janes finger hovered over the send button.
With a slow release of breathe she pressed it and watched it say deliver before turning off her phone. Hearing Charlie pull in she knew it was a matter of minutes before he confronted her about melting Bella's tires. Not wanting to be trapped in the bedroom with him she walked down stairs and waited for him to come inside. As both him and Bella walked in both seemed surprised she was there. "Why did you melt Bella's tires?" Charlie asked calm like this was an everyday thing. "Kaitie did it because she wouldn't take us to Jakes." Jane answered plainly as he looked to Bella. It was quite clear she hadn't told him the real reason Jane had done it. "Well it's alright I'll order you some new tires Bella. I'm sure it was an accident." Charlie said with a nod knowing Jane couldn't control who came fourth feeling what.
"How long is that gonna take?" Bella asked annoyed knowing she wouldn't be seeing Jake today. "You'll have to wait till tomorrow Bella." Charlie said simply as she looked red with anger and stomped her way upstairs. "You did it on purpose didn't you?" Charlie asked not looking away from the tv after hearing Bella slam her door shut. "She deserved it." Jane said simply before going up to her room and laying flat on her bed staring at the ceiling. Her mind was wondering many possibilities, especially if Paul had responded yet and what he'd say back. Would he agree it was all a joke at her expense or try to lie and weasel his way back into her life to do it all again. Jane felt tears brimming in her eyes as her thoughts ran wild mostly on how hurt she was. She was scared to even turn her phone back on, she even did homework instead.
Around 10pm she was going to tuck in for the night and locked her door before slowly turning her phone on. As she looked ready for something to be there, anything at all she felt her body chill at what she saw........... nothing. Not a single call or text. Janes eyes filled with tears and this time they fell as she began sobbing realizing that he didn't care, that he had been just using her as a joke.
Unbeknownst to her he was on Patrol heated from what he had seen Jake saying to his imprint. He also blamed Sam for wanting to wait to tell Jake that He had imprinted on Jane. That idea was quickly out of the window when he showed everyone that and Paul couldn't stop thinking about her. Jake realized instantly and attacked paul but stopped realizing he had done all that for nothing. The second Paul got off patrol he vowed to call her and tell her his truth so they could all be good again.
But unbeknownst to him.
He was blocked.

Teddy Bear
As it would stand, the truth of the matter was that aliens had visited Earth before. Roswell was neither a hoax nor unique. It was simply a consequence of a world growing smaller as communication systems became more and more advanced, partly a result of said visitations. For the most part, past interactions between one of the planet Earth's more intelligent species of lifeform and the alien visitors were along the lines of obscure scientific surveys and tests disturbingly similar to attempts by some human scientists to estimate the intelligence of simians. For any species capable of travelling the stars. Visiting planet Earth made about as much sense as backpacking through the Ural Mountains of Siberia with nothing but a flint and a compass. That is to say, most people would prefer to stay close to someplace within walking distance of a mall or a population density slightly higher than four sapient beings per parsec. Still, statistically speaking, there are bound to be some weirdos who find joy rides though a nowhere solar system fun. Just buzzing a frantic farmer or two and playing chicken with an F-16 for the heck of it. Maybe even bring home a bovine to show off to the guys at the office.

The Faction Contributor [Sci-Fi LitRPG]
While casually studying for his upcoming university exam, Aven suddenly felt the world around him start warping. It started with flashes of light appearing from nowhere, quickly escalating into his whole world becoming an absolute mess of flickering pixels and chaotic color flows, as if reality had become a malfunctioning glitched screen. What he could recognize as numbers, letters, and strange symbols flew everywhere around him, obviously trying to form a coherent whole to be displayed before his eyes, but such attempts kept failing, again and again. Before he could even start thinking about how both mesmerizing and absurd this spectacle was, however, it all stopped, as suddenly as it had begun. Accompanying the end of this unique show, 2 things happened. First, knowledge had spontaneously appeared in his mind and he could perfectly understand it, as if it had always been there, just inaccessible. Second, a weird simultaneously hot and cold energy had made its apparition inside his body completely unannounced. Aven had just simply and purely awakened his innate ability and the energy potential of his cells, joining the world of the supers, a minority that had always controlled and protected the world since ancient times, by becoming one of them. *** Do you have a sci-fi itch to scratch? Maybe that story can help~ It’s not a comic story that doesn’t take itself seriously. It’s also not a grimdark story, going to the depth of making sure the environment is the worst one ever. It’s just a serious story, a rational one, one you can comfortably dive into, written by a guy who already got some writing experience by having seriously written more than 2 000 pages of another serious story prior to starting this one. Enjoy *** Update: 3 chapters every week (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) Chapters: Around 3 000 words each.
