Months went by, and after that night, I can't keep my hands off her. Summer came and went, then senior year started.

One weekend, Joel offered us his grandfather's lake house for the weekend. Her father was out of town, and mine didn't really care what I did, so we had the entire weekend to ourselves.

Since the hotel room that night, we always had sex in my car, so this weekend is well earned.

Around Christmas is when things changed. We both had our 18th birthdays, and my father is trying to figure out where her mother is, but he hasn't had any luck. Joey became more and more distant, she started losing weight, she had dark circles under her eyes, and she was emotional most of the time.

She started spending less time with me, quit her job and the cheer team. Everyone noticed, but only I knew the reason. We were running out of time.

We started arguing which each other, then her childish pranks ended. Our time was usually loving and fun, but all of that ended.

Our relationship of a year started to fizzle out, but I still loved her more than ever, and I vowed to someday take her father down. It may not be within my power now, but someday it'll happen.

I received a letter right after Christmas. It was the same day she missed school.

"Dear Hudson,

I love you, but I can't risk losing my mother forever. Please never doubt that you are the love of my life. That will never change.

By the time you read this letter, I'll be gone. I've already married the man I was promised to, and I've gone to Europe permanently.

If you love me, you will not try to find me. Someday, I'll try to make it back to you, but do not put your life on hold. Follow your dreams, but don't forget me.

I went to her house, but was turned away at the gate. Victor said the old man and Joey are in Europe, and she was married last night.

I hate her so bad right now, we still had months to figure this out, but she gave up.

I tore my room apart, and even crashed my car. My grades slipped, and I distanced myself from everyone. I'm ruined, before my life ever really began.
