《Ayanokouji as a female? - ONE SHOTS》Ryuen's situation - part IV

A/N: Specially for you, because I ended with a cliffhanger. I didn't even notice Xd.
"What do we have here, lovebirds?"
The Vice President of the Student Council, Nagumo, stood before us, as far as I know.
He wore a white T-shirt with a grey blouse and short sports pants with carbonic runner boots. Looking at his clothes, it seems that he is coming back from some club he attends.
'What is he doing here?'
I glanced at Ayanokouji and saw her typical carefree and disinterested face.
It would seem that she ignored vice pres. Nagumo the entire time, because she took her eyes off him as soon as he showed up and remained unconcerned by the current situation.
But, I saw her standing motionless to the right and her expressionless eyes perfectly reflected the bright orange sunlight from the view to the point that her whole eyes seemed to change color as I looked at her, and saw how she was still observing the rest of the sunset behind the horizon since it began.
'Kukuku, she found a sunset more interesting than this Nagumo guy. She won't speak until it's over, from what I see I have to deal with this for now.'
I straightened out and stretched my hand to the side. "I could ask a similar thing, what the honourable vice president of the student council is doing here during such a beautiful evening?" I said with a mocking smirk to provoke him slightly, but it looks like he doesn't even bother about it.
There is no reason for him to appear here. But, I have heard that the vice president and the president himself are not on very good terms and this Nagumo is competing for a position for the next year.
Maybe it's just a coincidence and he actually just came to say hello. Haha! If it was so simple, he definitely wouldn't have started such a chit chat.
"I just spotted my lovely kouhais." Now he looked at me and continued. "Well, maybe not lovely at all." I rolled my eyes at this. "Anyway, I thought I'd say hello. Especially I wanted to have a small talk with Ayanokouji." He said with a suspiciously harmless facial expression.
I narrowed my eyes on him. He definitely is playing here.
"Hoho, I thought that the Honorable vice -president had more important things on his mind than talking to a random D class student." This time I emphasized the word 'vice' with a slight arrogance and mockery to see if he will react in any way.
However, now what he did was show a rather dangerous smile and he pointed an intensive gaze at me, as if he wanted to destroy me several times to make me suffer.
"Don't you think you're talking a little too much for a first year? It's a bit rude to address your senpai like that. Hmm... Ah, now I remember, I heard that some incompetent leader of class C of the first years was beaten despite his superiority in numbers by some individual."
You probably heard the phrase 'If looks could kill'? This is where I would have died a dozen times already. The vice pres. Nagumo now has a facial expression, as if some trash is blocking his path.
'Kukuku, so fianlly he started to bite back, one can see that even the vice president has his own temper too.'

I can confirm that Nagumo is the person who would have liked to get me out of the way a long time ago. But I have already met many other similar people with this kind of gaze, so it doesn't leave an any impact on me.
After a while he spoke again "You're Ryuen, right? If you say random person from class D, it is strange to see a class C leader with random person like you describe her."
'Damn, I guess I wasn't choosing the words carefully enough and he picked it up.'
I have to get out of the situation quickly.
"Maybe I ju-."
Ayanokouji cut me off "Thank you Ryuen, that's enough, I'll take care of it from now on." She said, taking a quick glance at me.
She probably was listening to our conversation throughout and noticed that I made a mistake so she stepped in.
I also noticed that the sun has already fully disappeared from view. Now only lights have illuminated the park. The trees have already taken on a much darker color under the influence of the night.
I noticed my previous actions and came to a conclusion.
'Wait, did I just make her some time for her to finish watching?'
I was a little annoyed by this, but I threw it in the back of my head to focus on the current situation.
I saw that Nagumo seemed to be satisfied with getting the attention of Ayanokouji.
"Well, what you need, vice-president Nagumo?"
"Oh, I was just thinking about checking out the capabilities of an individual who intrigued president Horikita himself." He said with a seemingly warm smile.
"I already said that before and my answer will be the same. I have no intention of competing with you in any way."
Ayanokouji responded with an apathetic and disinterested voice to his, let's say, request. Nagumo, however, still had a warm smile, but completely the opposite of his gaze. His eyes were definitely sharp and uneasy to person and his smile was kind but fake. Like a wolf pretending to be a sheep.
So Ayanokouji received the attraction from the president of the student council himself, how surprisingly. I wonder when it happened. During a sports festival, when did they race?
Ayanokouji, despite being in a girls' group, at the end of the competition, for some reason offered a 1 vs 1 race against Manabu Horikita himself. The surprise was then present on everyone's faces when he agreed.
Adding that Ayanokouji herself has attracted Nagumo's attention, she owes herself the present situation. It was definitely a stupid move as for her.
"And why is that? If the president himself is very interested in you, which is absolutely unlike him, then you must be really interesting."
I crossed my arms when I heard what he said 'Well, I can't deny that, kuku. You are indeed an interesting character, Ayanokouji Kiyone.'
He continued "He even took the race against you at the sports festival, do you think that's not suspicious?"
"Perhaps, nevertheless, do I put you at risk in any way if only I have athletic abilities?" Ayanokouji said simply and continued.
"I'm just an ordinary D class student you can find anywhere, nothing special."
'Dammit, Ayanokouji, when you'll realize that if you say so, you're getting more and more suspicious.'

"Haha, yes yes, but I have a feeling that you are as gifted in academic ability as in physical terms." Nagumo said with a small laughter.
"But do you have proof or is it just a guess? Your assumptions are based on unanswerable speculation."
"So what? Do you want me to make you use your skills, or do you want me to test them myself?"
The atmosphere was getting more and more intense and uncomfortable by every word. But due to Ayanokouji's monotonous voice, Nagumo's annoyed and upset was cooled down.
Nagumo was constantly attacking and pushing, while Ayanokouji effectively created quick defensive replies.
'Why the hell am I even here?' I asked myself this question while observing those two, at this rate this fight of lyrics will never come to an end. It was more like an infinite word fight between children.
They continued like this for a while until Nagumo finally took another action.
Nagumo formed a dangerous smile on his face and searched up, looking for something for awhile "You know, we are in the park." He stopped for a moment and looked at us again "There are no cameras. Maybe I should test your fighting skills while we're here."
Right, we are in the park, where there are no cameras here because of the fact that they are practically everywhere, the park has been specially made to rest.
It is probably almost 7pm already.
Adding to that the fact that it's already dark, that creates an ideal situation for Nagumo.
Ayanokouji still had an unreadable expression.
"I refuse." She responded immediately with her hand up, a clearly telling 'NO'.
Ayanokouji was completely opposite to this idea. However, Nagumo said it earlier like he didn't take no for an answer.
"I never asked for your permission."
At this point Nagumo loaded a strong kick from the right to her abdomen, but Ayanokouji quickly blocked it with her left hand.
Then he was going to strike with his left fist from below, but it was just a lure so he could try to attack with his right one right away. I saw that Ayanokouji, in order to avoid an unnecessary fight, leaned a little and avoided the lure, and a moment later she backed off and avoided a real punch.
I also decided to move and attacked Nagumo with my right leg from behind. Nagumo quickly noticed my movement and turned around, raised his left leg slightly and blocked my kick with his knee.
'Tough.' I thought to myself when I probably felt more pain from my attack than he did from the defense. Even if some kind of shock flew over his body, he quickly took a stand back.
Then, with incredible speed, Nagumo did 360 degrees and directed his leg and was going to hit me in the abdomen.
I managed to block his kick with my right hand and load the blow myself with my left fist into his face. Of course it was predictable, so I used it as a lure while I pushed his leg away and attacked with my own.
My previous blow with my left hand was easily blocked by his right hand, while at the same time my kick was about to hit the area around his right kidney.
But I widened my eyes when vice-president Nagumo blocked my attack with his leg without even looking.
"I know your scheme of attacks perfectly well, Ryuen." He said with a grin.
'Fucking great, next master of martial arts. What the fuck is Ayanokouji doing?!'
"Despite your own style, I have already fought with the likes of you." He added.
I looked at what Ayanokouji is doing during my fight and saw only that she doesn't even look at the fight but writes something quickly on the phone.
'WHAT THE BLOODY FUCK, AYANOKOUJI?!' I thought while blocking the Nagumo attacks. But it was a serious mistake that I focused too much on her.
"Don't look away from the opponent, my little kouhai." I heard Nagumo's nonchalant voice and suddenly I felt a strong pain in my abdomen and noticed his fist hitting it.
I fell to the ground and hit the walker with my back. I coughed blood.
'Damn, that hurts like hell.'
After all, I forgot that only yesterday I had a fight with Ayanokouji and my whole body was still in pain like never before. Apparently I forgot about it during my adrenaline, in this fight.
"Oh my, you shouldn't fight with such wounds from earlier." He said with this sheep's clothing expression of a hiding wolf.
'Since the previous fall on a tough walker, my vision starts to blacken, it seems that I'm slowly losing consciousness.'
But I ignored it.
"Kuku, I don't need to hear it from you, just shut the fuck up." I said laughing, in the end I already had a worse fight before, I don't care about pain.
'The beating from Ayanokouji was far worse than from that fool.'
"Such disrespectful, I see that I have to teach you some manners." He said pissed off with a cracked smile.
Then he loaded a blow to my face while I was lying. I tried to move my hands, but I noticed that they are slowly losing their sensitivity, which makes it difficult for me to lift them to the block.
'Fuck, I'm not gonna make it.'
However, the strike stopped halfway.
I looked and saw that Ayanokouji was holding Nagumo by the wrist. Nagumo's hand was shaking because he was trying to free himself from the oppression, but I don't think he could seeing his surprised face.
'Hah, so even you can't get out of it, Nagumo! HAHAHAHAHA!' His face was simply so wonderful.
"That's enough, Manabu Horikita is already here, so I advise you to leave." Ayanokouji said with a calm tone as ever, if there was no situation at all.
'So that's what she was doing something on the phone then.'
I could have figured it out. Ayanokouji wanted to avoid a fight at all costs on her part, so she used me as a distraction. No matter what good martial arts master Nagumo is, it doesn't matter if there are two opponents.
"Tsk." Nagumo made only a sound of annoyance and I saw with barely open eyes as he was leaving.
'My vision is blackening.' I couldn't move.
Ayanokouji sighed softly.
"And what am I supposed to do with you now, Ryuen?"
She said rhetorically, because she knew I had no strength to answer.
"Kukuku..."
I closed my eyes weakly and have already completely lost my conscious.
"Looks like I'll have to take care of you."

Stories Of Indlu
“… to grow, for opportunity, for adventure, to be free. Join the colony ship Nao Vittoria. Be the first to live amongst the stars.” It was obvious from the literature that the NextStar corporation wanted the young, the adventurous and the brilliant. So why were the super rich fighting over seats? Why were AI’s trying to stow away? Did this signify a premature end to human/AI civilisation? Why had some questions directed to NextStar been aggressively sidelined? Why did the colonist inflight entertainment trial produce fatalities? In fact, why colonists at all? Those and many other questions, however, boiled down to a single central question. Why was the world’s most advanced AI dumped with a hundred year babysitting job for 50 million people speeding towards an uninhabitable planet? It made such little sense. The only sure way to get answers, catch a ride on the Nao Vittoria and play the inflight entertainment game, Pax Domini. I joined, and this is my story. Well, I feature. OK, I’m more of a spectator. Actually, I’m completely irrelevant I was just there. I’m only the storyteller. But what a story to tell. --------- Hi All, Content will be published weekly usually Saturday and typical posts will be 25oo to 4ooo words per post. Though for some reason the Royal Road word count does not include the content of tables so some posts may not appear to meet this criteria. Currently I have written sufficient unedited content to keep this schedule for the next 12 months (half way through the first story arc). My current productivity would indicate that I can maintain this schedule for well into the second story arch. This also allows for the additional content that will be posed exclusively on Patreon (https://www.patreon.com/StoriesOfIndlu). This additional content follows minor characters, peripheral events, maps and other content that does not take away from the main story. I would love to accelerate the post schedule but to meet this I need the assistance of more beta readers than I currently have. So please let me know if you are interested. - Andy ©2022 Andy Leauter.
