•you're in your last year of highschool and you're supposed to be focused on studying

•but, you're not.

•a person with the name yeh shuhua has been wandering in your mind lately and it's been very hard to concentrate

•she's a taiwanese transfer student and everyone loves her, you guys have physics together and that's the only time you really get to see her

•anyways, in between working part time for multiple jobs and studying you dont have that much free time

•so when shu (thats what you nicknamed her a few months ago) asks you to hang out with her you're more than surprised

•but the thing is, she wants to work on a project

•silly you, to think that she would want to hang out with you outside of school activities...

•so the day finally comes and the two of you head to a nearby cafe after classes

•she pulls out a seat for you and even offers to order for you while you're starting up your laptop

•your heart is racing the entire time you're with her and the way she smiles at you makes you swell

•soon you're both finished and she insists on walking you home

•the two of you walk in silence, the distant sound of passing cars the only thing echoing though your mind

•you don't know why, but you feel like right now is the best time to tell her about your feelings

•you're approaching your house and you finally get the courage to-

•"hey y/n?" she asks playfully

•her eyes meet yours and she smiles before taking a few steps ahead of you

•"yeah?" you respond still walking behind her

•a moment of silence passes by when she finally stops and looks back at you

•"you're friends with that one yuqi girl, no?"

•still shocked you walk up to her "yeah, she's one of my friends"

•she then looks at you with an expression you can't quite desribe ,

"can you give me her number?"

•you thought she just wanted another study partner and nodded at her

•soon enough you reached your house and hugged her goodbye

•that was the last time you really talked to her

•she declined study offers and avoided your eyes at the cafeteria

•maybe she just wanted to study alone for a while

•still, you continued with your life and started slowly forgetting about her with all the exams approaching

•but one weekend you were working at a cafe close to your school and you saw her

•she wasnt alone, yuqi's arms were wrapped around her waist as they shared an iced latte

•thats when it hit you,

you were never going to be enough
