Gadodia house,
The sun rays fall on Swara and she opened her eyes. She didn't know when she slept thinking about her past.
Her face was looking pale. She got up from her bed and went to fresh n up. After that, she went to the temple and prayed. When she came back, Shekhar who was reading the newspaper sees her and smiles. She went to him and give him prasad. Shekhar blesses her.
After that, they sit for breakfast. Shomi and Ragini were also present there. There was complete silence.
Shekhar breaks the silence and says: Today is mehndi, We have to leave for MM in an hour.
Everyone nods.
Shekhar continued: Swara, have you thought anything?
Ragini: for what?
Shekhar: To marry Sanskar. (Cleared)
Ragini: What ?? When this happened and why didn't anyone tell me about it?
Shomi:( angry) Stop your drama Ragini. Yesterday night only everything was discussed when you went for your beauty sleep. And it's for swara to decide anything about it. Why are you overacting as if you have to decide about it?
Ragini: (annoyed) Yes, you are right
I don't have time to waste on her and her stupid decision but why do you all want to make Sanskar life hell? Whatever she did already in her past wasn't enough that you want all that to happen once again?? ( Tauntingly)
Shekhar: (Shout) RAGINI!!! Stay in your limits. You don't have sense what you should say and what not? You are going to marry now. Grow up.
Ragini: Yeah, yeah... Once again your lecture on moral education. Anyways, I m done. I will come in an hour. Till then enjoy with your so-called daughter.
Saying this she left taking her purse.
Shekhar: (calm) Swara beta, have you decided anything?
Swara who was eating her breakfast stopped and looked at him.
Shekhar: Do you want more time? It's ok, you can take your time. I will never force you.
Shomi: Yes beta, you have all your time.
Swara smiled and nodded. After having breakfast they get ready and left for mm with Ragini who came back in an hour.
Mm:
Sanskar woke up. His face was tired as he slept late thinking about the past. He sees Arshit sleeping. He caressed his hair and went to the washroom. After taking bath, he came out only to find Arshit was playing. He smiled and wore his clothes then only AP comes to take Arshit.
Ap: Sanskar you got ready. Good, Now I will make Arshit ready.
Sanskar: hmm.
Ap (taking arshit): Sanskar
Sanskar: hmm (busy in getting ready)
Ap: did you think something?
Sanskar: About what? ( busy)
Ap: you know very well what I m talking about.
Sanskar looks at her but didn't say anything.
Ap: Did you think about Swara?
Sanskar: I want some time to think about that ma.
Ap: How much time?
Sanskar: Don't know.
Ap: What are you saying Sanskar? You can't decide anything.
Sanskar: I can maa but.. ( paused)
Ap; but what? You should think about Arshit at least. He needs a mother Sanskar. You have made Swara culprit for whatever happened but you don't have any proof about it that swara did all that.

Sanskar: Maa, I trust Kavita and why will she lie to me. Whatever swara did was wrong and...
Ap: No sanskar, you did wrong. You abandoned her on her marriage day.
Sanskar: maa, whatever happened was because of her only. She could have stopped all that if she didn't do all that to Kavita.
Ap: Do you have any proof Sanskar? To prove that Swara had done all that.
Sanskar: Maa, why are you arguing on this topic now, and why are you supporting her? As if I remember you were also against Swara na? So, how come You change your opinion?
Ap: Right sanskar, I was against Swara because I just saw her disability only but didn't see her heart. Now, I understand that inner beauty matters rather than outer show off and Swara has a golden heart. My heart says that Swara never did anything wrong. Sanskar, you only think, did you ever tried to find the truth?
Sanskar: yes maa, you are right. I never tried because I trusted Kavita and I still do. She would never lie.
Ap; Trusting and superstition, both are two different things Sanskar. I never told that Kavita had lied to you but you were so immersed in Kavita's thought that even for a second, you didn't give any chance to Swara to let her explain?
Sanskar: But maa...
Ap: No sanskar, Now you have to marry Swara. I know, you still love Kavita but pls marry Swara. Not for me but for Arshit.
Sanskar thinks a bit and then says.
Sanskar: Okk maa, but pls give me time till tomorrow morning.
Ap: Okk
Saying this, she takes Arshit with her and left.
Sanskar kept thinking about ap words.
Sanskar ( monologue) Is maa saying right? Is there anything missing that I don't know?
Ap come back to his room and said: Sanskar, come fast. Today is mehndi. Guests will come anytime and Gadodia's family is also on the way.
Sanskar comes out of his thoughts and nods.
Gadodia's family arrived. Dp and AP welcomed them warmly.
Mehndi function was done successfully. In the whole function, Arshit was with Swara. Their bonding was going stronger and stronger. Sanskar notices them but today, He didn't get angry and admire their bonding silently.
Swara was totally immersed with Arshit. She was very happy with him. After the function, the Gadodia family was going but this time Swara didn't want to leave Arshit. He was becoming part of her life. She reluctantly gives arshit who was sleeping to ap. Everyone noticed her sad face while leaving him. She kissed his forehead and go.
She was going but she turns and see Arshit once again before leaving. Shekhar was very happy for Swara. She was smiling once again wholeheartedly and it was all because of this innocent and pure soul Arshit. He blesses Arshit in his mind and sees swara who was still admiring Arshit. He kept his hand on her shoulder and say.
Shekhar: Swara beta, let's go.
Swara comes into her sense and noded. After that gadodias leave.
Gadodia house:
Night,
Everyone was sleeping. Only Swara was awake. She was thinking about her life which was never less than a rollercoaster ride. Swara chuckled at her thought. She thinks about Arshit, how this cute baby boy made a special place in her heart. She always wants to hold him, play with him, care for him. She always feels top of the world when he chuckles while playing with her. She forgets her pain, her problems, everything, with him. His parents gave her pain but he always gives her happiness and reason to smile.

She was thinking all this with a peaceful smile on her face but it changed immediately thinking about her baba's words. He asked him about getting married to Sanskar but one thing she could not understand. How can her baba agree for this alliance when he dislikes Sanskar. Suddenly, she heard the voice she turn back to see his baba.
Shekhar: Swara beta, Why didn't you sleep till now? Are you okay? Do you have a headache? Wait let me check if you have fever?
Swara smiles seeing his care and nods No.
Shekhar: Then what happened l? Why are you standing at the window? You should sleep na?
Swara didn't say anything.
Shekhar understands what she was thinking.
Shekhar: you were thinking about marriage proposal?
Swara nodded.
Shekhar: ok, come let's sit.
Swara and Shekhar sit on the bed.
Shekhar: hmm, now tell me everything.
Swara asks him about her confusion that how can he agree for this marriage.
Shekhar smile at her. Swara gets confused.
Shekhar: you are right. I m angry with Sanskar but that doesn't mean I hate him. If we don't love someone its not necessary that we hate them. Whatever he did was situational but wrong. But who said I m agreeing for Sanskar?
Swara got more confused.
Shekhar explained her further.
Say: I agreed because you will get Arshit as your son and he will get you as his mother. Swara, I have seen you these two years. How much pains you beared. I lost my Shona who smiles with heart but Arshit gave me back my Shona. You smile with him wholeheartedly. You live your life fully without thinking about anything else when he was with you. I know, I m being selfish because of your happiness. This selfishness will not make everything fine but at least something will be good. Our life gives us choices Swara. Some give us pain but some give relief and happiness but that doesn't mean we will not make our choice due to fear of pain. I know you still love Sanskar.
Swara looks at him shocked.
Shekhar: Don't look at me. I know you still love him that's why I never tried to find any other alliance for you because I knew that it will hurt you. Swara, I always told you to take decision by your heart and now also I m saying the same. And, about Sanskar, till now he doesn't know the truth but it is not necessary that truth will be hidden from him always because it cant be hidden forever. It makes a way to come out, sometime, someday.
Swara: but baba, Sanskar hates me na? Do you think he will agree to this marriage?
Shekhar: (sigh) well, I think he will. Not for anyone but for his son. Arshit needs a mother Swara. After Kavita's death, I don't know how that little soul lived till now.
Swara gets sad thinking about Arshit. She hates Kavita. She had never forgiven her but she never wanted her to die also.
Shekhar: You know Swara, why do you get sad on seeing someone sad even though he is your enemy? because you are a pure soul. You cannot see anything bad happen to anyone.
Swara smiles.
Shekhar: That's my Shona whose smile comes from her heart and eyes express her thoughts. Now its too late. You should sleep. Tomorrow is sangeet. We have to go to mm and you have to meet your little boyfriend also.
Swara look at him confused then understands that he is talking about Arshit. She laughs.
Swara: (action through hand) seems like someone is jealous. I am feeling like something or rather someone is burning.
Shekhar: so what, I m jealous after all I m your first love.
Swara laughs again holding her stomach.
Shekhar: ok now sleep, Good Night.
He turns to go but Swara stops him.
Swara: I m ready.
Shekhar: really? But why?
Swara: (smile) For my happiness. For Arshit.
Shekhar: I m so happy beta, god bless you.
He put his hand on her head and bless her and left. After Shekhar left, swara also goes to sleep.
Mm:
Same night,
Sanskar was in his room with Arshit. He was thinking about AP's words to get married to Swara.
He thinks about Swara and Arshit bonding. He noticed everything how Swara gets sad when she gives arshit to AP. How she turned back to see him. How she kissed his forehead with pure love and care but some questions were haunting him.
Was that Swara was real or was what he concluded two years ago? Yes concluded, as he said he never had any proof against Swara. He just listened to what Kavita said but Swara never tried to justify herself. His mind was exploding with these things, he closed his eyes and take a deep sigh.
He can close his eye but it doesn't stop him to face the reality that swara truly cares for his son. He got up from the bed and went to the window. He sees towards the sky and thinks about his moments with Kavita. He turns to see arshit who was sleeping since Swara went. He saw how Swara make him sleep within some minutes but he and ap take approximately half an hour to make him sleep. How Arshit stops crying immediately after going to Swara rather than him. He cannot deny the fact that Swara will be a perfect mother for his son. But about marry Swara... He sighed and He sees the photo frame kept at the side table. He goes and take it in his hand, caress it, and remembered something.
To be continued...

The Oresteia (Modernized)
All three of the great Greek Tragedians have written plays about the bloody chain of murder and revenge within the royal family of Argos. Yet theirs is in fact not a story of tragedy, but rather one of redemption. As they move from darkness to light, from rage to self-governance, from primitive ritual to civilized institution, their spirit of struggle and regeneration becomes an everlasting song of celebration to be heard throughout the ages. Forming a discourse set against the emergence of Athenian democracy out of a period of chaos and destruction, the Orestian plays are compelling stories of the tensions between our obligations to our families and the laws that bind us together as a society. In the beginning, we witness how a king’s decision to sacrifice his daughter and turn the tide of war inflicts lasting damage on his family, culminating in a terrible act of retribution. In the aftermath of regicide, we behold how a son must set out to avenge his father’s death by committing a most egregious sin. In the end, the sinner is tormented by supernatural powers that can never be appeased, but ultimately finds redemption and ends the curse on his house once and for all. Woven through all of this is the story of a friendship so close that it elevates itself to brotherhood - Where the blood of the covenant is shown to be indeed thicker than the water of the womb. In this very brief twelve-chapter modern rendition of the Orestian plays, I have chosen to place my focus mainly on the lives of the characters Orestes and his best friend Pylades. The chapters, each around 2000-2500 words, are split up evenly between them in first-person narrative. I hope that you will come to enjoy reading this heartwarming story, but more importantly, that you see how the conflicts portrayed in the story, whether human or institutional, are still much very relevant to our societies today. Note on Sources: The details of this story is very loosely based on The Oresteia by Aeschylus. And I mean very loosely. Other sources that I referenced for detail and inspiration are Mythology by Edith Hamilton, Electra by Sophocles, and Iphigenia in Tauris by Euripides. You may also find that I have quoted some of these works, and others (such as Shelley's Ozymondaeus), without citations (average of 1-2 such quotes per chapter). I did this because I do not have the ability to describe certain scenes nearly as well as some of those writers. If you read a particularly beautiful piece of prose here, chances are it's probably stolen lol. Also, I wrote this during the summer between my high school senior year and my college freshmen year. It was the summer of 2020, and being quarantined apparently gets my creative side out lol.

Dawn of the Epoch
Hunter called himself an archaeologist, but he was a modern day treasure hunter. Tiyana was a scientist devoted to her craft. They were passionate people, wholly devoted to their work. Neither of them had time for love. Neither of them could resist it when it happened. Neither of them knew that the world would need the two of them to save it from a tyrannical pre-historic overlord, his cyborg vampire paramour, and their army of mindless drudges.Dawn of the Epoch is an epic science fiction novel about dark matter, death rays, nuclear warfare, and the Large Hadron Collider, but it is also a fantasy novel about medieval warriors, alchemy, and ancient gods. Dawn of the Epoch blends fantasy with reality, bringing mythology to life today. It is also an apocalyptic thriller spanning the globe from the Pyramids of Egypt to the heart of Africa to the majesty of the Himalayas. It is an epic hybrid-genre story with intense action sequences, magic, mythology, suspenseful plot twists, countless obstacles for the protagonists to overcome, and an utterly Machiavellian supernatural villain.Testimonials:"Probably one of my favorite books I've read to date. Brilliantly complex, adoringly rendered and quizzically intense. A must read and one I plan to revisit, and share!"- Amgwatts, Wattpad Reader"This has to be one of the most original and well written novels I have had the pleasure to read, on Wattpad and in general. It was captivating, interesting, immersive and above all, fantastic. I was left in awe of the beings, history and world you created. It was never dull, dry or predicable and it was a nice change from what seems to be the ever popular teen romance with vampires or werewolves or 'bad boys that are actually romantic good boys.' In the end it was a very pleasant surprise."-IridescentLies, Wattpad Readerhttp://dawnoftheepoch.weebly.com
