I played the last 25 minutes in the second game against Chile and nothing happened. After the camp was over I went and watched the NWSL Championship. Sadly Portland lost to the North Carolina Courage. I've got nothing against the Courage I just wanted to see some of my friends win. Okay maybe I do have something against them. Some of their players give me weird vibes.

Earlier today I flew into camp and tonight before the CONCACAF Championship/ World Cup qualifying starts we have team bonding where we are telling the team something nobody knows about us, but it has to be something we are comfortable with the team knowing. I wonder if other national teams have team bonding as much as we do. I guess we will need it for the World Cup though.

After dinner we were told to go shower and do whatever we needed to and then to be back in the conference room in the next hour. I went up to Tobin and I's room to shower and change into sweats then I went and got a gatorade before heading down to the conference room.

Once in the conference room I notice the chairs are now in a circle. I sit next to Christen and she looks really nervous.

"You okay?" I whisper to Christen

"Yeah just a bit nervous."

"Why?"

"Tobin and I are telling the team tonight."

I side hug her."Everything will be okay with. And hey maybe Jill will let you guys stay in the same room now."

"That would be nice." Christen says as we start.

It was finally Christen's turn.

"Okay well I actually have some news to share with everyone." She says and looks in the area of where Tobin is sitting and Tobin gives her a discrete nod. "Tobin and I are dating." Everyone was shocked except me. I was happy that my best friend could be happy and out around the team and didn't need to hide her relationship.

"Wait Cairo did you know?" Kelley asks. I guess she saw my lack of reaction to the news

"Yes I found out during the Tournament of Nations."

"How did you find out?"

"I was walking up the stairwell and saw them kissing."

"How long have you been together?" Alex asks.

"2 years." Tobin says. Alex looks a bit hurt that her best friend kept this a secret.

"Wow. I'm not going to lie that doesn't surprise me. I just thought you two were dancing around your feelings." Kling says.

"Your go Cairo." Carli says moving the attention away from the couple.

"I own a company that replaces turf fields and replaces them with grass fields." I say.

"When did you start it?" Ash asks.

"After the 2015 World Cup."

"Kinda wish you would've started it before then." Alex says.

"Yeah I saw a bunch of you girls filed a lawsuit and I wanted to be able to help in some way so I started my company."

"How many have you replaced?" Carli asks.

"All together I believe 3,219." some of the girls look shocked at that number.

"You said all together. What do you mean?" Becky asks.

"Some of our jobs are for private companies like MyLocalPitch which is a company in the UK that allows people to book fields over the internet. And then National FA's will ask us to replace fields.

"Has US Soccer contacted you?" Jill asks.

"No and I don't think they will."

"Why?"

"Too many turf fields for them to be able to cover the cost. One of our current jobs is with the Romanian FA and they're asking us to replace 85 fields which is costing them 25 million dollars."

"So could you have replaced the fields in Canada if your company was around back then?" Ali asks.

"Most likely. We would've had to stop our other jobs and solely focused on those fields, but yes we could've done it."

"Hey your rooming with Alex right?" I ask Christen while others are going.

"Yeah why?"

I point to Alex and Tobin who are sitting together. "You might want to stay with me tonight so they can talk." Christen nods then texts Tobin who agrees. The rest of the team say their stuff and once everyone has gone we are dismissed for the night. Tobin waits for Christen to come to our room so she can kiss her before she goes to Alex's room for the night.

"Why do you think Alex reacted like that tonight?" Christen asks.

"I think she was a little hurt that her best friend kept her relationship a secret from her." I say and Christen nods. We do our nightly routine and go to sleep.

We won our first two games against Mexico and Panama so we qualified for the knockout stages of the CONCACAF Championship. I got the assist on one of Carli's goals in the game against Panama.

Right now we are waiting for the referee to start the game against Trinidad and Tobago after all the pregame festivities. I am in my normal role of Right center mid again tonight. Finally the ref blew her whistle and straight away we attacked.

In the 9th minute Julie played a ball to Tobin on the wing and Tobin played a first time cross into the box and Alex guided the ball into the far corner to make it 1-0.

"You just can't stop scoring can you?" I playfully ask when I hug her after her goal.

"I mean I can stop if you want." She says.

"Nope. You can keep scoring."

In the 15th minute we got a corner and Tobin played it short to me. I crossed it to the far post where Lindsey headed it towards and forced a tough save from the T&T keeper. In the 22nd minute Crystal played a ball into the box from the left wing and Kelley headed it down and the ball came out to me so I put my foot through it and the ball flew towards the right post forcing the keeper to turn it aside.

Now we have about 5 minutes until the break and we have basically lived in the final third. Tobin has the ball outside the area and I'm to her left giving her one option while Kelley overlaps on the other side. Tobin rolls me the ball and I look for an option. Ahh fuck it. I roll the ball towards goal then hit it with my left foot sending it towards the right post. The keeper gets her hands to it, but it's not enough and the ball hits the back of the net. I'm immediately swarmed with hugs.

2 minutes later Pinoe crossed a ball into the box and there was a mad scramble for the ball and I just kick at the ball and somehow my foot makes contact and it goes in.

"You gonna stop at two?" Lindsey playfully asks while we walk back to our half.

"Maybe." I say.

"I want a third." Lindsey says.

"I want an assist." I say as the whistle blows.

Right before halftime Lindsey passed to Tobin and Tobin passed it back. I notice some space opening up so I run to it.

"LINDSEY LINDSEY LINDSEY" I yell. Lindsey looks up and passes me the ball. The ball pops into the air after it hit a defenders foot so I hit it first time on the volley with my right and the ball bends into the bottom right corner. Once it goes in I run over to Lindsey and hug her and a couple seconds later the rest of the team come over and celebrate. After we restart the game the whistle blows signaling halftime and we all walk toward the changing rooms.

"Looks like we both got what we wanted." Lindsey says as we're walking.

"I guess so....wait." I say and stop dead in my tracks in the tunnel.

"What?" Lindsey looks at me confused.

"Did I just score 3 goals?"

"Yes you did Cairo. And all within 5 minutes too."

"What the fuck" I say as we enter the locker room and I'm congratulated by everyone. I was taken out after halftime. Lindsey scored in the 49th minute, Alex scored in the 50th minute, and Tobin scored in the 58th minute making it 7-0. Everyone on the bench zoned out after that.

After the game was over and the team was in the locker room the game ball was passed around and everyone signed it. After everyone signed it the ball is handed to me and I place it with my stuff then strip out of my kit and put on my street clothes then head to the bus with my stuff and rest the whole way back to the hotel.
