"Hey." I say to Ash, Ali, Alex, Tobin, and Christen when I get to our gate in New York.
"Hey." They all say.
The team was given a couple days to spend with their families before we fly to Paris. I spent those days in my house dealing with stuff for my business while Lindsey spent a day with me in LA and then spent the rest in Colorado with her parents. I'm glad Lindsey is moving in with me after the season because I really missed her, especially going to sleep without my arms wrapped around her waist.
"How was your days off?" I ask when I sit next to Alex.
"It was good. I spent it with my family, Serv, and Blue." She says.
"That's good."
"Yeah. How was yours?"
"It was okay. All I did was sort stuff out for my business."
"Fun." Alex says sarcastically.
"Yeah."
"How long is this flight?"
"8 hours." I say and Alex groans.
"At least I can sleep on the plane." Alex says then my stomach rumbles.
"Sounds like I need food. Do you want anything?" I ask and Alex shakes her head so I go and get and sandwich from a deli then come and sit back down and eat it.
20 minutes later someone comes and sits on my lap and kisses me. I immediately kiss back knowing whose lips they are.
They still taste like cherries.
"Hello Princess." I say.
"Hi Babe." Lindsey says. "I missed you."
"I missed you too" I say then lean my head on Lindsey's chest.
"When did you sleep last?" Lindsey asks as she plays with my hair.
"When was the last time we slept in the same bed?"

"You haven't slept in four days?!?! Yeah your definitely sleeping on the plane."
"As long as your with me then deal."
"Flight 2286 to Paris Now boarding." Somebody announces.
Everyone grabs their stuff and hands their ticket to the gate agent then we get on the plane. Once on the plane we get in our assigned seats and I'm sat with Lindsey thankfully. I take the window seat and Lindsey takes the aisle seat so if she needs to get up she doesn't have to climb over me while I'm asleep.
"Cairo?" Lindsey asks and I hum in return. "Why haven't you been sleeping?"
"Well I had a business call one night that kept going on and on and on."
"Okay well that's one night. What about the other three?"
"I forgot to get one of your shirts before you left the house." I mumble.
"Aww baby." Lindsey says then kisses my cheek. She then lifts the arm rest and leans into me. I wrap my arm around her and, like always, swiftly fall asleep.
8 hours later I'm being shaken awake.
"What?" I say while rubbing my eyes.
"We're here." Lindsey says. I look out the window and see we are at the gate in Paris.
"Wait I slept the whole way?"
"Yep." Kling says as she walks by. "Whipped."
"True." I say.
Lindsey and I gather our stuff then get off the plane and head with the team to baggage claim. After everyone has their stuff we head to the hotel.

"Happy Birthday Cairo." Lindsey says then kisses my face.
"Thanks Love." I say then cup her face and bring her down for a kiss.
"HURRY UP YOU TWO. BREAKFAST IN TWENTY." Someone yells while banging on the door.

"Dammit." I say then peck Lindsey on the lips.
We both get off the bed and then go to the bathroom and take a surprisingly tame shower. I mean there were a few kisses here and there, but that's about it. After our shower we change into comfortable clothes then head down for breakfast.
Once at breakfast not many of the girls say happy birthday to me and if I'm honest...I'm very happy about that. I'm still not a big fan of my birthday, but I'm slowly getting there. Only Christen, Ash, Tobin, Alex, and Ali said it.
After breakfast Lindsey and I go back to the room and cuddle in bed.
"Did you notice not a lot of people told you happy birthday at breakfast?" Lindsey asks.
"I did." I say.
"Does that not bother you?"
"No because I still don't really like celebrating my birthday...but I'm slowly getting more open to celebrating it."
"Well that's good." Lindsey says.
I'm glad she never asks why I don't celebrate my birthday.
The two of us then watch the replay of the Australia v Italy game we missed yesterday since we were at training.
"What are you thinking about?" Lindsey asks as I play with her hair after the game is over.
"Your birthday." I answer.
"What about my birthday?"
"Just that I'm glad that we waited a little bit longer to have sex."
"Me too...even if we did wait just one more day." Lindsey says making me laugh.
"Yeah...at least it was in our house so we could be as loud as we wanted."
"I like the sound of that?"
"Sound of what?"
"Our house."
"Well it's our house now Princess"
"I still can't believe we'll be living together."
"Regret it?" I ask.
"Not one bit." Lindsey says.
"Lindsey?"
"Yes baby?"
"I love you." I say causing Lindsey to look up at me and smile.
"I love you too." She says then softly kisses me.
Lindsey and I spend the rest of my birthday in our room together with Lindsey in my arms. All we do is talk about anything and everything that isn't soccer with Netflix or a World Cup game on in the background.
Yeah this has been the best birthday ever.

Wizards of the Otherworldly Court: End of the Five, Twenty-three, and Twenty-nine Years Story
Alternate titles: - Five, Twenty-Three, Twenty-Nine Years - 5, 23, 29 "Dad? I think I got a really bad fever, why do I still feel fine?" "It feels cold..." Five years ago, Owen became a Court Wizard in search of his father who was lost to the unknown three years prior. But that wasn't the beginning of the story. Maybe it began twenty-three years ago when Ronald Bell and Joshua Ruze saved the Illyer family. Or perhaps, it all started twenty-nine years ago, when Ronald, the son of the wealthiest merchant, became a Court Wizard. Well, it doesn't matter anymore, for the story five, twenty-three, and twenty-nine years ago shall now meet its end. 2nd book written in the Wizards of the Otherworldly series. Read Wizards of the Otherworldly Court: Alicia first. This story is split into two 'Collections,' Ronald's Collection and Owen's Collection, each centering around those Court Wizards. Crossposted with WordPress site, Wattpad, Sufficient Velocity, and Rainobu. Wizards of the Otherworldly Court is a fantasy story about the Otherworldly Court, an inter-dimensional (or world-hopping, you get the idea) organization made up of people of all ages, gender, and race from many parallel or different worlds. They are granted elemental-like magic powers and called themselves 'Court Wizards'. They are tasked to watch over the many worlds they come across and step into these worlds on 'missions' to preserve the balance, life, order, anything to make said worlds better places in the shadows but may reveal themselves if necessary. However, these missions may partially or even fully oppose their nature, personal interests, and ideals. Yet, most of the Court Wizards are aware and willing to complete even the worst missions that would shatter their true selves that they will never cast aside regardless, either growing or regressing because of it. Basically, it's isekai to multiple worlds but each book after Wizards of the Otherworldly Court: Alicia focuses primarily on one world while also discussing its lore in detail. Book Alicia is the introduction containing the essential worldbuilding of the Otherworldly Court universe you need to know while shoving in as many characters and worlds as I can. Also, each book will have a different main character, sometimes more than one in a single book, like Jojo.
