"OH COME ON. WHAT KINDA SHOT WAS THAT?."
"GO ON...HOW COULD YOU MISS THAT?"
"OH FUCK OFF REF."
"Lindsey?" I say and pull my fiancée down into her seat.
"Yes?"
"Having fun?"
"Yes. Thank you for taking me here baby." Lindsey says then kisses my cheek.
We're at El Clásico and to be honest I'm not really watching the game. I'm just watching Lindsey have the time of her life. Yesterday we went to my mother's hometown of Mojácar which was a bit emotional. After the game is over Lindsey and I stay in our private box and eventually the door opens and Lindsey's eyes bulge from her head.
"Cairo." Lindsey whispers.
I guess her surprise has arrived
"Yes baby?" I say.
Lindsey points behind me so I turn around and see my friend Marta and Lindsey's idol Lionel Messi. Lindsey geeked out for a minute then composed herself. Everyone greets each other then I act as the translator so Lindsey and Messi can talk. Before they leave Lindsey gets a picture with Lionel and then we all leave.

"Lindsey...Babygirl...Princess."
"What?" She asks with her eyes closed.
"We need to shower so we can go."
"Carry me?"
"Of course." I say then carry Lindsey to the bathroom.
Once in the bathroom I set Lindsey down on the counter and go turn on the shower. I wait a few minutes then get in and wash myself then call for Lindsey. Once she gets in she stands in front of me and faces me then wraps her arms around me.
"Do you want me to wash your hair or leave it for tomorrow?" I ask.
"Wash it please." Lindsey says.

I wash Lindsey's hair and body then help her out of the shower and towel both of us off. I carry her back into the bedroom and set her on the bed then get out clothes for the both of us and we change. After we are dressed we pack our bags then head downstairs and check out of the hotel and head to the car.
I sold my car to a friend of mine here when I left to go to Italy and she is letting us use it for the weekend so Lindsey and I can go to my father's hometown. Once we leave the parking lot I head to Starbucks and get Lindsey and I breakfast then we head for the France–Spain border.
"Umm I have kind of a strange thing to ask you." Lindsey says while eating one of her muffins.
"Shoot."
"Can we stop and take pictures at the border of each country?"
"Of course." I say and Lindsey smiles and kisses my hand.
2 hours later we reach the France–Spain border and go through customs then pull over and take some pictures at the border sign and the surrounding area. Once back in the car I see Lindsey trying to keep her eyes open.
"Tired Love?" I ask.
"Yeah."
"Go to sleep. I'll wake you up before we cross the border."
"Okay." Lindsey says.
She then grabs my right hand and places it in-between her thighs and swiftly falls asleep.
Over the next five hours we drive through the south of France which is very beautiful. As we approach the border I wake up Lindsey.
"Wh-where are we?" Lindsey groggily asks after waking up.
"We're about to get to the Italian border Princess."
"How long was I asleep for?"

"5 hours."
A couple minutes later we go through Italian customs then pull over and take some pictures at the border. We then head to the next town and stop to fill up on gas and get a late lunch then continue on to Positano.
"Cairo can I ask you something?"
"Of course."
"Do you wish your parents were still alive?" Lindsey asks making me sigh.
"Yes and no."
"Yes and no?" Lindsey says a bit dumbfounded.
"Yes because I sort of miss them, but no because them dying caused me to be where I am today and I don't want to even think of not meeting you, dating you, falling in love with you, and in a couple months marrying you."
"Do you think they'd like me?"
"I'd like to think so, but I don't really remember if they were like my grandparents or not...I don't really remember them at all."
"What were their names?"
"Natalia and Federico Bianchi." I say and then there is silence in the car.
After an hour of uncomfortable silence I speak up.
"They died on my birthday."
Out of the corner of my eye I see Lindsey look over at me.
"They were in a compound in some country and they were suppose to be undercover, but their cover was blown. The compound was overrun and my parents were told to hide, but they were found hiding in a closet then they were killed."
"Is that why..."
"Yeah. That's why I don't celebrate my birthday. It reminds me of everything I went through...and it reminds me why I hate my parents."
"What?" Lindsey says a bit dumbfounded.
"They weren't suppose to be there. Their boss asked if they wanted to go do this job and they left in the middle of the night without saying goodbye. They just wrote a note that said 'we have a job to do'... That was the last time I heard from them."
"Oh baby."
"I still doubt if they loved me."
"Cairo of course they did."
"Lindsey I was an accident."
"What do you mean?"
"I was born 40 weeks to the day of their wedding anniversary."
"Baby pull into that gas station." Lindsey says and points to it so I do.
Once we pull into the gas station Lindsey gets out of the front seat and moves to the back seat. She pats the seat next to her so I get out the car and sit in the back with her. When I sit next to Lindsey she wraps me in her arms.
"I know this is a hard conversation for you to have and you probably don't want to talk about it anymore, but it seems like you need it and this isn't really a conversation to have while driving... It also seems like you need a hug."
"Yeah...Your hugs always make me feel better." I say and Lindsey tightens her grip on me.
"So do yours Cairo...Now you and I are going to sit here and you are just going to get everything off your chest okay?" Lindsey says and I nod.
Silence overtakes the car again until I start crying.
"Why didn't they want me Lindsey?" I say while sobbing.
"I don't know baby." Lindsey says and wipes my tears.
"Am I that big of a burden?"
"No Cairo your not."
"Why didn't they love me?"

Dungeon Core Chat Room.
This is a slower-paced "experiment and dungeon building" web novel that tries to use the idea of peer-to-peer communication with Dungeon Cores instead of Dungeon to slave monster communication to break up the detailed dungeon building. Rank 1 description: (minimum met for system initialization...detailed description as follows) Each race was given a system by the gods to make up for their shortcomings and balance their place in this world. Humans: Abysmally bad at understanding and using magic unable to use more than the lowest of magic were given the "Skill System" magic in the form of premade skills with use, study, and mastery tied to experience. Elves: Intuitively understand magic and have long lives leading to vast knowledge and skill in their chosen fields. However, as a species, they have nearly zero sex drive and less than low fertility, so they were gifted the "World Tree System" with experience gained through the care of natural areas – gifting the chance of children to increase their numbers without dirty copulation. All “natural” or “wild” monsters are given an "Evolution system" designed around killing and consuming as many creatures as possible, slowly increasing strength and, at thresholds, allowing mutations to alter them multiple times. Dungeon cores are different. Unlike humans, they can see, manipulate and live off mana. Unlike Elves, they naturally crystallize after extended periods of time in high mana level areas. However, they cannot easily move or communicate and typically go insane without companionship. As a species other than the odd eccentric they are unimaginative. Brute forcing solutions without the drive to truly innovate. Thus they have been gifted with the "Dungeon Connection System" a magical version of the internet accessible by their peers that allows them to barter and sell: bait, traps, monsters, and knowledge, as well as entertain each other with “adventure streams” using exciting recorded battles and humorous reels of arrogant chumps biting off more than they can chew to often fatal effects. This is the casual story of a dungeon unluckily spawned far from potential adventurers forced to innovate beyond its peers to find its place in this world. Rank 2 Description: Justification. I've been on a dungeon core kick for months and while I love the genre – it's sparse with entries. Often the forced conflict gets repetitive and frantic solving of threats "power levels" the protagonist to god levels to progress the plot – taking away the nice steady progression fantasy I'm looking for. (Progression in this story is linked to how strong of monsters/traps/whatever he can create not his "level"...this is demonstrated by some of his newer monsters beating his older monsters not with discrete "this monster has 10 attack this one has 40") Additionally, the focus on 3rd parties with their drama takes away from the reason I’m reading dungeon core novels in the first place – I'm looking for magical crafting, experimentation and kingdom building – not defence from higher and higher levelled enemies looking to steal/destroy/control the MC. This novel is kind of just me writing the story I wish I could read. I like thinking about the experimentation that can be done in fantasy settings using 'mana' as an excuse to make up rules and try to keep them internally consistent. IE once I define how a rule works, I'm going to commit to keeping it – no breaking hard truths I've given when it's convenient, even if it backs me into a corner. Hopefully, that should make the story interesting to read even if it's SOL and less action-oriented. There will be problems to solve and a clear progression in strength (of created monsters and knowledge) however due to not wanting to force conflict for the sake of conflict the general theme will be closer to slice of life with few action sequences and no overarching goal so please keep that in mind when picking this up as the genre is not for everyone. Finally, I have a clear goal of what I want from this story (not an endless romp but a series of arcs and then a conclusion that's a couple of dozen medium-sized chapters long) I want to commit to finishing it or at least bringing it to a point of rest. I hate all the engaging stories that stop with a “hiatus” indefinitely so in the event I lose motivation I'll work to end this even if the ending becomes rushed/unsatisfying just to give a sense of closure. I’m planning on including several polls in terms of direction and taking feedback heavily into account if I get enough readers (but may choose to ignore it if it deviates too far from the direction I want to take this as in feedback like: “The MC needs a cartoonishly evil arch-enemy that wants to enslave him and force the mc to pump out magic items” or “the MC needs to make a body and learn teleportation then live with humans” will get shot down without consideration.)

I'm by no means a writter, I'm doing it purerly for relaxation and to keep myself busy. As a complete amateur please constructive critisim ONLY, I'm a bit of a perfectionist so i might die from too many negative comments :P lol. Will they fall into despair as everything is taken from them and is the little princess who she really says she is... Ps: It starts a bit slow, I felt compelled to start by building the world and characters without rushing into the action. Upload speed I'm thinking 1000 words a week ish until I get ahead and might do two extra uploads per week sitting at around 1-2 chapters a week. Enjoy :)
