"Finally a break from soccer." Alex says.

We are on a private jet to my house in the Bahamas for my bachelorette party. I don't know who's idea it was to get a private jet, but I'm not complaining.

The 2020 NWSL Season is over and so are the Olympics. At the Olympics we won gold and played Brazil in the final. The NWSL season for the Thorn didn't go so well. Our team got hit with the injury bug and we didn't make the playoffs which sucked. The Pride had a really good season and beat the Reign in the semi's then Chicago in the finals to win their first Championship.

"Yeah. It's nice to not have to train as hard and as long as we do." Ash says.

"So Cairo what do you want to do this week?" Christen asks.

"Sleep, lay on the beach, relax, eat, swim in the ocean, and sleep." I say.

"That sounds like a plan." Ali says.

"Yeah."

"Where is Lindsey's bachelorette party?" Alex asks as we land.

"NYC"

After we land we get our bags go to a rental car place then head to my house.

"How far away is your house?" Ash asks from behind me with Ali on her lap since there aren't enough seats.

"45 minutes."

"Cairo?" Christen asks.

"Yes my favorite Utah Royals forward?"

"Funny, but why do you have this house?"

"I wanted to be able to have a place to escape to."

The rest of the drive is filled with light hearted conversation until we finally reach my house.

"Welcome to my Bahamian home." I say when we get into my house.

"Nice place." Ash says.

I nod then take everyone on a tour.

"So sleeping arrangements." I say once the tour is done. "There's only three bedrooms so I guess couples together and Alex you and I are together."

I then lead everyone to their rooms and let everyone get settled. After we've settled into our rooms Ash and Tobin go get the pizza we ordered then we eat and talk for the rest of the night until we go to bed.

"Cairo I'm sorry. You just have too much baggage."

"Baby please don't go. I need you"

"I'm sorry Cairo"

"LINDSEY PLEASE."

"Cairo wake up." A voice I recognize as Alex says causing me to shoot up.

"Hey calm down Cairo just calm down." Christen says.

Through my teary eyes I see all 5 of the girls in my room.

"W-where's Lindsey?" I ask.

"She's in New York." Ash says.

"She left me?" I say then break down.

"No sweetheart. She's at her bachelorette party." Ali says.

"Baby?" I hear the unmistakable voice of my future wife say.

"Princess?" I say not knowing where the voice came from.

Tobin then shows me her phone and I see she FaceTimed Lindsey.

"You okay?" Lindsey asks.

"We're still getting married right?"

"Yes Cairo. We are still getting married."

"O-Okay."

"Get some sleep babe. We'll talk in the morning."

"Okay...I love you Lindsey." I say.

"I love you Cairo." Lindsey says.

After Lindsey hangs up it takes me awhile to fall asleep, but eventually I do and I sleep for a while. When I wake up my arm is around Alex and she is still dead asleep. I gently remove my arm from around her then go shower and change. Once that's done I grab my phone and head down to the kitchen and start making breakfast for everyone.

While cooking I decide to FaceTime Lindsey.

"Hi babe." Lindsey says when she answers.

"Hello Princess." I say then take my eyes off the stove and look at Lindsey. "Well don't you look especially radiant this morning."

"Cairo I just woke up."

"So? You're still the most beautiful woman in the world."

"Stop." Lindsey says and tries to hide her blush. "What are you doing?"

"Cooking breakfast for everyone as an apology for waking them up last night."

"Everyone still asleep?"

"I think so." I say.

"What happened last night?" Lindsey asks.

"I had a nightmare that you left me. I think it was my subconscious saying don't fuck this up because you need Lindsey to function...Lindsey please don't leave me. I know I have a lot of baggage, but I can't live without you in my life."

"Baby I need you to take a deep breath." Lindsey says and I do. "Cairo look at me." I do. "I'm not going anywhere. You may have baggage, but so do the rest of us. Your baggage makes you you. And you, my gorgeous, strong, sexy future wife, are the love of my life and I can't live without you either so it looks like you and I will be together forever"

"Promise?" I say and even I can hear the vulnerability in my voice.

"I promise baby."

"I can't wait to marry you."

"Me either Cairo."

"LINDSEY LET'S GO. WE HAVE RESERVATIONS TO MAKE." I hear Mal shout.

"Guess I gotta go." Lindsey says and pouts.

"Okay. I'll talk to you later."

"I love you Cairo."

"I love you Lindsey." I say then we hang up.

Ever since we went to visit my parents hometown and had that conversation Lindsey and I don't say goodbye anymore. It's always see you soon or I love you.

The girls come down a couple minutes later and we eat breakfast then decide to hang around here for the day. The 6 of us chill on the beach until lunch then we either chill in the ocean or on the beach until dinner.

"Uh Christen is Tobin okay?" I ask and point to the nutmeg queen sitting alone in the sand.

"I don't know." Christen says.

I nod then go out the door and then sit down next to Tobin. After a little bit of silence I scoot closer to her and lean my head on her shoulder. Tobin then wraps her arm around me and kisses my head. The two of us stay like this for a while until Tobin breaks the silence.

"Do you think I deserve Christen?" She asks.

"I do."

"Do you think she's happy with me?"

"Tobin she's more than happy with you. You're the love of her life. Everytime she is around you she's bubbly and always so happy."

"She's always like that though." Tobin says.

"Yes, but when you're around it goes to another level. Whenever she sees you her eyes sparkle and her heart beats faster."

"How do you know that?"

"When you and Ash went to get pizza last night I sat with Christen while we waited and when you came in the room with the food I could feel her heart beating faster...Tobin she loves you with every fiber of her being. Where is all this coming from?"

"Just being here knowing it's your bachelorette party got me thinking about my future."

"And what does that future entail for you?"

"Me, Christen, our kids, and our friends."

"Well first you might want to start with getting married." I say and Tobin takes something from her pocket.

"I have a ring."

"Do it." I say.

"What?" Tobin says and I squat in front of her

"Do it tonight."

"I don't know."

"Tobin do you love her?"

"Yes."

"Do you see a future with her?"

"Yes."

"Tobin Heath is Christen Press your endgame?"

"100%"

"Then what are you waiting for."

"How would I even do it?"

"You ask her on a date and I'll set up out here and the rest is up to you." I say.

Tobin nods then the both of us walk inside. Once inside Tobin and I look around for Christen and everyone points toward their bedroom. After Tobin leaves the other girls pull me into the kitchen.

"What's happening?" Ali asks.

"Their going on a date." I say.

I then enlist their help and by the time Christen and Tobin are ready so is their date. Tobin leads Christen out to where we set up and a minute later I bring out their dinner.

Ali, Ash, Alex, and I are now in the kitchen eating around the island.

"So what is really going on?" Alex asks.

"Tobin's proposing." I say nonchalantly.

"WHAT" The three A's scream.

"Yep."

"And you're okay with her doing it during your bachelorette party." Ash says.

"I told her to do it." I say then get out of my seat and grab 4 packages from a drawer in the kitchen.

"Here." I say and hand each of the girls a package.

"Ear plugs?" Ali says

"If it's anything like when I asked Lindsey to marry me then we'll need these to sleep."

"SHE SAID YES." Tobin yells.
