Me: I don't know what jersey to wear today.
Duchess Meghan: What are your options?
Me: well it's USA v England today and I could wear Lucy's jersey or I could wear Christen's jersey.
Duchess Meghan: Are you dating Christen?
Me: No.
Me: Not yet
Duchess Meghan: Then I'd wear Lucy's.
Duchess Meghan: Just so nobody gets suspicious and jeopardizes your relationship before it even starts.
Me: Smart Duchess Meghan.
Duchess Meghan: Anna😡
Me: Love you😘
Me: I just remembered I don't even have Christen's jersey 😐🤦♀️
Duchess Meghan: Problem solved.😂
"Foods here Anna." Leah says.
"Alright." I say then join the other three ladies.
"This is it?" Freya asks as we look at our food.
We decided to try In-N-Out before we head to the stadium because a lot of people told us to try it. The four of us each got a burger then we decided to split some fries.
"I thought American burgers were supposed to be bigger." Beth says.
"Looks like were eating at the stadium as well." I say as we start eating.
"Their fries taste like cardboard." Freya says.
"It's a decent burger." I say after I finish the small burger. "But I don't understand the hype."
"Same." Leah says as we turn on the TV to watch the Nigeria v China game.
"Ah shit." I say.
"What?" Freya asks as I get my Mac out.
"I need to update the website."
"Oh." Leah says as the other girls get out their phones to read off the scores.

"Done." I say then close my MAC. "I'm hiring someone to keep up with that stuff."
"Agreed." The three ladies say as my phone buzzes so I pick it up.
Lucy: So who are you cheering for today?
Me: I'm hoping for a draw.
Steph: Are you going to wear an American kit.
Me: No.
Me: I don't have her kit yet.
Lucy: Still not gonna tell us who's got you all bubbly?
Me: If I tell you who it is you have to promise not to hurt her or get to rough.
Lucy: Promise
Steph: Promise.
Me: Christen Press
"Anna we need to go." Freya says.
"Alright." I say then grab my stuff.
The four of us head out of my room, take the elevator down to the lobby, then we get in the waiting car outside our hotel. We then make the half hour journey to the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum.
"Have you talked to Christen today?" Beth asks as we pull into the parking lot.
"We Facetimed at breakfast but not after that. I don't want to distract her before the game." I say.
The four of us exit the car then head into the stadium and make our way onto the field. Once on the field the four of us check out the state of the pitch to make sure it's in good condition then we go stand on the sideline as the two teams come onto the field to start their warm ups. Both teams seem super focused in their warm ups so me and my three friends decide to head up to our box.
When we get to our box the four of us get real food then head out to our seats right as the Americans kick off.
"Guess we missed the anthems." Leah says.

The first forty minutes of the game is very back and forth with nobody getting a decent shot off. Eventually Kelley plays a ball over the top of the English defense and the ball lands at the feet of Christen. Christen takes a couple of touches then shoots low and hard bast Karen making the score 1-0.
"Should I celebrate?" I question.
"No clue." Freya says.
"I'll just clap." I say then clap while everyone else around us loses their mind.
Half time comes a few minutes later so the girls and I head back into the indoor part of our box and throw away our trash. The four of us then take turns using the bathroom then we grab some drinks and head to our seats before kickoff.
The second half is a lot more chippy and Steph and Lucy go at Christen a lot harder then necessary.
"I'm going to smack them next time I see them." I say after my best friends both tackle Christen unnecessarily.
"I think they deserve more than a slap." Beth comments as I get out my phone and text the two Englishwoman
Me: Were the second half fouls necessary?
Eventually the game ends with the score being 1-0 thanks to Christen. Me and the other girls wait a little bit then we head down to the car and drive back to the hotel
As we walk into the hotel I take out my phone and text my favorite American.
Me: Hey are you still up to going out tonight
Christen: I am.
Me: Well instead of going out to dinner would you like me to pick you up and we can pick some food up then we can relax in my room for a while.
Christen: That sounds nice.
Me: Awesome. See you in 30?
Christen: See you in 30
Exactly 30 minutes later I pull up to Christen's hotel just as she is coming out of the hotel. I go to get out of the car to get Christen's door, but she's already opened it.
"I could've gotten that." I mumble as Christen gets in the car.
"I know." Christen says as she buckles up.
Christen leans over the console and kisses my cheek.
"Hi." Christen whispers
"Hey beautiful." I say with a smile. "You kicked butt today."
"Thanks." Christen says as I start driving. "Your friends are very rough."
"Yeah." I say then scratch my neck. "They asked who was making me so happy and I told them it was you so that may be the reason...sorry."
"I make you happy?" Christen asks.
"Very happy." I answer.
Out of the corner of my eye I see Christen smile while blushing. The American then slips her hand into mine which makes me get butterflies in my stomach. I then bring our intertwined hands up to my lips and kiss Christen's hand.
Christen and I decide where we want to eat so we head to the drive through and pick up our food. After we get our food I drive us back to my hotel then we head up to my room and start eating.
"Oh." Christen says and grabs her purse. "I have something for you."
Christen hands me a red jersey and a white jersey.
"I didn't know which one you'd like more so I got you both." Christen shyly says.
"I love them." I say then smile at Christen. "I'll wear it to your next game."
I then kiss Christen's cheek, but when I pull back I notice Christen looking at my lips.
"I kinda wanna kiss you." Christen whispers.
"I wanna kiss you too." I whisper.
"Why don't you?"
I don't reply.
I just slowly lean in and softly kiss the brunette goddess and holy fuck her lips feel amazing.
I really need to ask Christen to be my girlfriend.

Follow Anastasia, the unlucky physicist turned wizard, as her reality gets turned upside down and she is plunged into a world of gods, magic, swords, and adventure. Short and sweet description, anything more would be a spoiler and I detest those. Now, what you can expect from reading: This is my first time writing, or better said allowing someone else to read that mess so don’t raise your expectations too much. Still, I will try to keep the story flowing, while also devoting as much time as I can to editing. In my opinion, the story is written at a faster pace than normal with time skips here and there. I will do my best to not allow the faster pace to ruin the story by using those time skips to raise the skill of the main character. I am mainly looking for feedback while I test myself in new and unexplored waters. I did put a lot of thought into worldbuilding and the magic system, it is something that has been mulling inside my head for years before I sat down to write anything down. First and foremost I am an engineer and not a writer. I will try to do my utmost to make the world logical and consistent, but sometimes I might not express that in a way that’s clearly understood. I have a rough outline with several possible endings, but the story will change and evolve as I do. But in case I have to stop for whatever reason, the story will get an ending. It will be done even if I have to send coded messages from a bunker. I am a big fan of the Dresden Files so you can be certain that everything mentioned will in most cases be used, with a few red herrings sprinkled in the mix. But that also means I will enjoy putting the main character through the meat grinder while I eat popcorn and laugh from my evil lair. Physics, and to be more precise electromagnetism, quantum field theory, general and special relativity are very interesting topics for me that I research in my spare time. That means that the premise of the story will be using that research to bring logic to magic. Stupid I know, magic is magic, but to me, there is no reason why there shouldn’t be a concrete set of rules there. But it is still magic and that allows me to play with some things that shouldn’t normally be possible. I will focus on evolving the main character and having her react as anyone normal would, from my perspective. There will be scenes of battle, gore, and sexy times, but I will not go into too many details, counting on your imagination to fill the gaps. There will be plenty of combat, even battles ranging from a few dozen, a hundred, and thousands of participants. I could go on but there isn’t much to say that would convince anyone to read, either you thought the title was cool or you liked the poster. Or not, but after several days in photoshop, that’s the best I could do. And the title was originally Sorceress with a Ph.D. The new one makes a little less sense but I like the ring of it more for some reason. I just hope someone enjoys what I write as much as I do. Furthermore, as of the beginning of this novel, my intention with this novel is to explore negative emotions and use my writing as a form of meditation/therapy. When I am sad, I will write sad things, and when I'm happy, the story will be happy. Lastly, there will be religious undertones every once in a while. Hopefully nothing too heavy handed though.
