It was pure luck that you had no classes with Asmodeus in the morning, else you might have faltered in your act.
It gave you a few hours to get over what the hell just transpired earlier. Maybe you'd be less relenting to Yuki's stubborn nature next time.
Though, you did have one class with Solomon before lunch, who was staring at the back of your head the whole time. It was unnerving.
You couldn't help but wonder what happened after you left the two.
Once the bell rang, you wasted no time in gathering your stuff and leaving the classroom. You immediately went to Yuki's classroom, finding that they had just exited the room.
Upon the sight of you, they grinned and waved you over.
"So...?"
"...Yuki, we need to talk."
"...Shit. Did something bad happen earlier?"
"Yes, and now, I need to rethink everything before agreeing to anything you say next time." You glared at them intensely.
Maybe if Yuki had the balls to do it in the first place, you wouldn't have had to suffer through what ever the fuck happened earlier.
You surely hoped Asmo just shrugged it off.
Walking to the cafeteria had never been so tense and nerve wracking for Yuki.
You purposely stayed silent on the way there, trying to make them more and more anxious as to what's to come.
Once you both got to sit, you whipped out the letter and placed it on the table before crossing your arms above your chest. Yuki's eyes widened. "Wait, you didn't do it?"
"I did. It's only the letter that got left behind." You hissed. "What's with the secret admirer stuff, anyway? I can't believe that just happened. And it's all because of you."
"Alright, I'm sorry, okay? I'm just...a bit of a coward to do these things on my own." Yuki was guilty, rubbing their arm and avoiding eye contact with you, knowing fully well they'd just get a glare in return.
"A bit? Don't you think that's an understatement?"
"I get it. I get it. I'll never ask you to do stuff like this again, alright? I'm really sorry." Yuki frantically apologized, not wanting your wrath to be directed at them. You eventually loosened your gaze.
Having to glare at them for so long surely made your face hurt.

"Fine, whatever. You can't take that back. Ever."
"I won't." They promised, a look of relief crossing their expression.
A few seconds passed before Yuki's face slowly contorted into a look of confusion and curiosity. "...So, what happened earlier?"
"...Well, after giving the documents to Lucifer and Diavolo, I was arranging the presents. Then–"
"Excuse me, have you seen someone named (M/n) around?"
Although the cafeteria was commonly noisy, the high and mellow voice of the male was unmistakable.
And close.
The voice made your heart stop, halting in your story. Yuki paused, looking towards the direction of the voice.
Asmodeus was a few distance behind you.
"...You mean him?" The person he asked pointed in your direction. Asmodeus' eyes brightened at the sight.
"Ya hoo~ (M/n)!"
At the loud and clear shout, various students began to look at Asmo, then at you.
You dug your nails on your skin, arms still crossed. Your vision blurred as you refused to believe this was happening.
"Hello~" He shamelessly plopped beside you on the long chairs of the cafeteria, not noticing your body tense up and was itching to inch away from him.
Preferably a meter away, maybe by the door.
"...Greetings, Asmodeus."
"You can call me Asmo. Everyone does." He propped his elbow on the table and placed his chin on his palm. You hummed. "That won't be necessary. If I may ask, why were you looking for me?"
"Drop the formal talk. You sound like Barbatos." Asmodeus frowned at the cold demeanor. At the absence of your reply, he pursed his lips. "Hey, you know you shouldn't have left me so early this morning."
You forced out a polite smile. "Yes. I was caught in an unfavorable situation earlier. I hope you understand."
"I do, darling~"
You resisted the urge to gag. "I see. Then, if you don't mind me asking, why were you looking for me? I thought you were supposed to be with Solomon for lunch."
"Oh, that. Well, he said he was off to go study. I figured I should go look for you instead." He smiled sweetly.
People swooned at the soft and saccharine expression, prompting your eyes to flicker to Yuki.
They were staring mindlessly at Asmo, just as the rest were. The look in their face expressed their obvious infatuation, driving you into a deeper state of frustration.

You clenched your jaw, humming. "You should scurry– I mean, go off to do some work. You're a student council member, are you not? You must also have some school work to deal with on top of that."
"Ah, you're so considerate."
"..." Its' the complete opposite, you dumb fuck.
"Anyway, it's fine." He huffed proudly. "I have some free time, so I thought I should spend it with you."
"That's a waste." You avoided his gaze and instead tapped Yuki's arm. You wanted to get away from the crowd's eye as soon as possible.
Unlike Asmo, having this much attention on you was truly unsettling.
Seeing you tap your companion's hand, Asmo's gaze landed on Yuki. They flinch at the attention.
The champagne-haired male's eyes wandered over to the familiar letter in their grasp.
"Hey, that's your love letter to me, right?"
The crowd's eyes scrutinizing your form grew even more intense, prompting your heart to race. Seeing Yuki look at you in shock didn't help at all.
"..." You hurriedly took Yuki's hand, presumably to drag them away from him, only for the letter to get snatched midway.
"(M/n), right? I'd remember the name of someone as cute as you." He hummed, sending you a sly, yet flirty glance. You closed your eyes, trying to keep yourself from doing something impulsive you'd regret.
"Didn't I tell you I would keep the letter instead? Hand it over." You used your vacant hand and stretched it out, gesturing for him to return the item. Asmodeus blinked twice, eyes flickering between your hand and your face.
He then grinned, reaching out to squish your cheek. Eyes widening, you instinctively slapped his hand and backed away. Yuki squeezed your hand, sending you a look.
"Hm? And who might you be?" Asmo suddenly leaned over, smile now less broad. He observed Yuki slowly, making them back away anxiously due to the lack of distance.
"..."
As the male was distracted with Yuki, you tried to snatch the letter from his grasp, only for him to dodge at a surprisingly quick speed. You pressed your lips together, running out of patience.
"Asmodeus–"
"Hey, you should call me Asmo! It sounds cuter!"
"Just give it back." You paused, nearly wincing. "...Please?"
"...You're absolutely adorable!" He gushed, though not abiding. You clenched your jaw, seeing Yuki's eyes flicker to you, worried. Asmo then hummed, eyeing the letter. "I'll do that after reading it, 'kay?"
"...!" Yuki's eyes widened at the declaration. They hurriedly tried to grab the envelope not minding if it would have ripped.
But alas, just as before, Asmodeus moved quicker. He tilted his head to the side in confusion before shaking his head with his usual smile. "Mmm... Nope~"
Asmo rushed, leaping back a small distance and flicked open the seal. He carefully took the paper, purposely lifting the letter in case Yuki tried to grab it again.
It was a ridiculous set up, really. All those witnesses knew damn well.
But seeing the heartbroken and embarrassed expression on your friend truly ignited an anger that you didn't think would be worth such a small incident.
Swallowing the possible shame you might put yourself into due to the curious eyes, you walked over. Seeing your form from the corner of his eye, Asmo couldn't help but let his grin widen, thinking you'd do another cute attempt to get the letter from him.
You stopped directly in front of him.
Though, unexpectedly, you delivered a swift kick to his knee, prompting him to bend over in pain. You took the opportunity to grab the letter, glowering at him from above. He barely tilted his head up, eyes meeting yours briefly.
Seeing his eyes trained on you solely, you tore the letter apart without an ounce of remorse for the male currently withering in pain. You let the small pieces of paper fall to the ground before scoffing.
'I'm sorry, Yuki.'
"Such a pretty face, yet such an obnoxious and ignorant attitude. I don't know why you're the subject of their affection at all." You muttered bitterly.
Sending one last look at the male, you huffed before turning around. You saw the surprised look on Yuki's face, truly baffled you'd pull something so bold in the center of a crowd.
Sending them a nod, you gestured for them to follow you out. You took them by the hand and guided them through the crowd, not minding how you pushed a few people on the way.
Though you couldn't see it, Yuki was peering at you from the back of your head.
The way your eyes softened the moment you urged them to move truly made an imprint on their mind.

So I'm a cat, what now?
It seems I've reincarnated into a fantasy world as a cat. What now? This is my first publically published story, and I would love feedback in any form as I have no idea how well the quality of my writing holds up. This story will have light litRPG elements, though I won't dig into numbers much, since I don't enjoy fiddling with them. The tone will be generally light, and I willl probably try to throw some comedy in there as well. The beginning will be Slice of Life, and unless I come up with a longer plot that I like it will stay that way.
