It had been months since Onjo realized she was in love with her best friend and so does her feelings for you that grew day by day. She knows that she's not that smart when it comes to academics but how could she be so stupid? She should have stopped the feelings from growing that night but how could she resist you?
How could she resist those charming grins you flash at her?
Onjo stared out the window, she wasn't really watching the buildings and cars pass by, she was only avoiding to meet your gaze because she knew what would happen if she did. It did not help that she could feel you glancing at her from time to time.
"How much did you spent with this limousine?", she spoke, breaking the silence surrounding the two of you before she finally turned to look at you.
You grinned at her, "It's fine, don't worry. I don't mind spending money, as long as it's you", you answered her and crossed your legs.
How could she resist those longing stares you both shared?
"Stop looking at me", she told you and playfully kicked your shin under the table.
You winced as you soothed where she kicked you, "What? I like looking at you", you admitted to her.
Onjo was surprised she didn't break her neck for turning her head to look at you that quick. She locked eyes with you, she was now starting to see her own reflection in your eyes but she was persistent to win this staring contest you started. She finally broke out of her trance and looked away when she felt herself getting lost in them.

How could she resist how your hands fitted perfectly while swaying to the slow music?
"Do you want to dance?", you asked your bestfriend which made her turn to face you.
You both shared a look before standing up and making your way on the dance floor. Onjo hiked up her dress with her lips pressed into a thin line as she followed after you. The both of you turned to face each other before you slid your hand on her waist while you guided her other hand on your shoulder.
Onjo prayed to the gods above that you won't hear her heart loudly thumping on her chest, as if it's wanting to jump out of her chest. You grabbed her other free hand with yours and pulling her close and as if on cue, the slow music started playing as everyone on the dance floor began swaying to the music.
You both never got the chance to be this close yet both your nostrils could recognize each other's perfume. And believe it or not, it was starting to make her feel dizzy not because of the dance but because of how close the both of you were when you pulled her closer to you.
How could she resist those fluttering compliments that left your lips every hour that night?
"Your eyes are stunning"
"Um, thanks? These had always been my eyes since we were kids?"
...
"I really like your smile. When you smile it's infectious"
"Stop with your cheesiness, you're gonna make me throw up"
...
"I'm glad that you're here, prom date or not"
"I only came here for food and food alone, now leave me and my cheesecake alone"
You've always jokingly complimented her before as well but everything hits different to her now. And as disappointing as it sounds, she knows that you only meant it the platonically. That once silly crush turned into something much more, something Onjo had always feared and avoided from happening. However, what's done is what's done. She knew there was no more turning back anymore, she had already fallen for you.
