《My Immortals(A One Direction Fanfiction) COMPLETED》Chapter 37

HARRY'S POV
After the war, Gwen won't exist anymore. I replayed that phrase over and over in my mind. If Gwen kept getting visits from her brothers and thearchangels said that, there's no avoiding it.
Love is what makes us living, but it's also our end. There's another piece to the puzzle. Love was going to be Gwen's undoing. Or that's what I'm guessing...
"Harry! Watch out!" Louis called as I came out of my thoughts and dodged a lunging vampire. I quickly pulled my sword out and defanged Taylor Lautner and put a drop of blood on his tongue.
"My teeth!" Taylor screamed.
It was kind of ironic, when you think about it. He's known for a werewolf that hates vampires, yet he's a legit vampire...
I don't know how many people I had defanged, some were the Black Eyed Peas, LMFAO, FUN, and Mark Hall. The boys had assisted with some and our side of the army was making good progress. Devamping people was hard work, we saved the ones who repented, you know, before we actually went at them with a knife.
We were almost done, I think. Some of us were moving the unconscious, devamped people off the field and into the house for a cup of tea and to tend their injuries, since you had to fight them to get close to devamp them.
"Harry! Tom's missing!" I heard Liam Neeson call.
I froze. Tom, the one who started this war. The one who led an army to attack us. There was one reason he was here, and if he were gone, there's only one place he would go. An earpiercing scream from the woods seemed to conclude my thoughts.
"Harry!" She screamed out. I turned from the battlefield as I felt myself shifting. All humanity left me and my full out vampire took over. I raced through the woods as fast I could, but as her screams rang out and sliced me to pieces, it seemed as if I were running through mud. Every step I took felt as if twenty years were passing instead of a millisecond.

I finally broke into the cemetery as a deafening crack filled the air. I saw Tom, standing there with Gwen in his arms. She was unconscious, bleeding, and with my super human hearing, I could tell she wasn't breathing. Her body was dropped to the ground, as if she were a doll. Tom turned around and smiled at me as her blood trickled down his chin.
"Come, Harry, have a taste!" He invited as he took note of my vampiric eyes. A snarl ripped itsself through it's throat as I curled my lips back, baring my fangs. I didn't think, I launched myself at Tom, ready to rip his throat out. Tom had some unfair advantages though. He had fed while I fought and wasted energy, and Blood Rose blood gave the drinker more strength than normal blood. My advantage? I was so pissed off at him that I was seeing red.
I dragged my nails down his face, opening scratches that oozed blood. He kicked me in the gut and I flew back into a tree, knocking it down completely. Snow billoed around me, clearing my head. I jumped back up and went after Tom again. I ran through blood stained snow and jumped over him. Before he could turn around, I gave him a solid kick in the back. He stumbled forward before turning and giving me a side kick that caught me in my side. I hissed and grabbed his foot, pulling harshly and causing him to fall into the red snow. He snarled and kicked me, causing me to sail over him and into another tree. We both picked ourselves up and circled each other, ready to rip out the other's throat. Tom lunged at me, claws extended to scrape out my innards, but I was quick, I pulled my sword up and let him impail himself on it, right through the stomach. He coughed and Gwen's blood spilled from his lips and onto the snow. He stumbled back and grabbed the sword, shocked. He drew it out of himself as blood seeped from the wound and he collapsed to the ground. I left him and ran over to Gwen.

I drew her broken body up into my arms and held her against me. Her head tilted back, to show the angry wound Tom had left. I placed my head against her chest, but was repulsed by the complete and utter piercing silence I heard there. Broken sobs left my lips as I held her against me.
Love is what makes us living, but it's also our end.
Gwen died loving me.I held her against me tight as I tilted my head back,"Why?! Again?! I loved her! I loved her so much! You can't take her away from me! Not again!" I screamed up at the heavens. I let my head fall back onto her chest as my shoulders shook with my sobs. I slowly lifted my head up and looked at her face. I pulled the hair back and out of her face.
"Gwen, I love you. I love you more than anything. You made me living again," I whispered, my voice breaking several times by the sobs. I slowly leaned down and placed my lips on hers, kissing her one last time. I moved my lips against her motionless ones as a tear slipped from my face and I drew away. I watched the tear as it landed on her lips.
"Gwen, please, you can't leave me!" More tears fell on her face as I begged her to come back.
"Harry! Look out!" Mitchie's voice screamed from behind me, before I felt a blade plunged between my shoulder blades, just missing my shattered heart. I slumped forward, onto Gwen's body, and fell onto the ground next to her, with her still in my arms. I fell asleep next to the one I loved, one last time, in the bed of red snow as our embracing white blanket covered us.
Reth's words echoed through my mind before I left.
Love is what makes us living, but it's also our end. Gwen gave me life, and I was going to die for love, with the one I love, rather than lose the one I love forever.

Much like his father before him, the new master of House Doom is a prodigy of war, yet the venerable minions of his household still hold strange loyalties toward his missing ancestor, silently comparing the legendary rage of his father to the more pragmatic approach of the son. Adding to Basil’s frustrations is the lack of accomplishment he feels for his work, with the dungeon keeper often taking on handicaps just to give his enemies a fighting chance. With all the power and wealth one could ever dream of already within his grasp, Basil now finds that the achievements of others kindle more joy in his heart than his own crushing victories. Thus Basil has taken up mentoring the next generation of dungeon keepers to try and diagnose the cause for his own lack of passion. With his apprentice, Elnora, managing most of the daily work around the dungeon, Basil can finally turn his attention towards his personal concerns, such as tackling the shadow of his legendary father that still looms large over him.
