《Moments | Spideychelle Oneshots Collection》Dinner Disaster

(Song starts at 1:20)
Peter and Michelle have been dating for a few months now but her parents haven't met him yet. They told their daughter to invite him over for dinner the next day. Of course, Peter was very much nervous. He even asked Aunt May for advice on what to wear and how to act. She told him to keep it casual and not to freak out. 'Act normal' was basically Aunt May's advice. But still, Peter was panicking. Michelle reassured him that they're really nice and that they aren't the stereotypical overprotective parents you see on TV. But she did warn Peter to think before he speaks because he tends to ramble on and on about random stuff, especially when he's freaking out. What MJ didn't say about her parents are that they're not technically in good terms as of now. They constantly argue and bicker about irrelevant things and they would randomly shout at each other. She crosses her fingers that it won't happen this time.
Peter slowly walked to the front porch and pressed the doorbell with trembling fingers. Sweat was all over his forehead. He didn't know why he was so nervous. Michelle greeted him by the door with a smile plastered on her face.
"You look great." He blurted out to her.
"You too. Are you ready?" She asked. Peter gulped and gave one firm nod. She pulled him inside and then her parents greeted him, making him even more nervous.
"You must be Peter Parker." said Michelle's dad, holding out his hand to shake Peter's. He merely looked at his own hand and took a few seconds to shake her dad's.
"Yup, sir. That's me." He said in a soft voice.
"Oh, don't call me 'sir'. Samuel's good."

"Oh okay... Samuel." He nervously muttered, then turned to Michelle's mom.
"Hi. Call me Angela." She said. Peter thought she was going to shake his hand but instead, she went in for a hug. "We already treat you as family, Peter." That made him smile a bit.
They were all seated in the dining room. A plate full of Zucchini and Roasted Tomatoes with Pasta and Dried Olive Flavor Shake was present on each place mat. This is when Peter realized that Michelle wasn't the only vegan in her family. While they were eating, MJ's parents decided to shoot Peter with a bunch of questions.
"So, Peter," Her dad decided to ask first. "Where do you currently live?"
"I live with my aunt in an apartment." Her parents' eyes were filled of curiosity. He knew what they were gonna ask next, but he decided to answer it before they even ask. "My mom and dad died in a plane crash, or so that's what my aunt and uncle told me. Then before I got bi--" He almost exposed himself. "When I was 14, my uncle passed away. He... he got shot." He looked down on his feet.
"Oh. I'm so sorry for your loss." said MJ's mom, holding his hand. Peter nodded at her.
"It's okay. It's just me and my aunt now though but, we're getting by."
"So uh.. What are you good at? Any talents? Hobbies?" asked her dad, trying to lighten up the mood.
"Oh.." Peter gave an awkward chuckle. Michelle smirked at him. "Well, I'm trying to learn how to play a guitar."
"Do you like sports?"
"Weirdly enough, not really."
"Oh come on, you gotta be kidding!"
"Samuel." MJ's mom gave him a look.

"What?" He said to her.
"If the boy doesn't like sports, don't push the topic, okay?" She said through gritted teeth.
"Oh come on, Angela. Everyone loves sports! Especially football, right Peter?" He smiled at him. Peter wanted to lie his way out of this one because it was the only way to impress him. But then Michelle's mom intervened again. Peter looked at MJ, she felt so embarrassed that she seemed to be shrinking in her chair. He seemed to do the same.
"You always do this! Trying to talk about one topic nobody else wants to talk about! Not everyone agrees to everything you say, okay?!" Her mom started shouting now.
"I just want to lighten up the mood here, okay!" He shouted back.
"JUST STOP! THE BOTH OF YOU!" Michelle stood up and shut her parents up. The dining room was awkwardly quiet for a few seconds. Tears started to fall down her cheeks. "Don't the two of you ever stop arguing?" She said quietly. She ran upstairs to her room and furiously closed the door, making a loud BOOM sound. Both of her parents put their faces in their hands. Peter followed MJ and knocked on her door.
"Love? You okay?" He asked, hearing only sniffles in return. He slowly opened the door and saw her sitting on the ground, face in her knees. Her back leaned on the side of her bed. He sat down beside her and she pulls him in a hug.
"Peter.. I... I'm so sorry I didn't tell you about... all that. My parents are such a mess." She continued to cry in his arms.
"Shhh. Michelle, it's okay. I understand why you didn't tell me." He rubbed her back, comforting her.
"It's just... I can't take this anymore, y'know? I don't want them to fight.. I don't want all of this to lead to a divorce, y'know? But I guess if they keep this up, they just might have to." She cries once more.
"We'll cross that bridge once we get there, okay? I'll be there right beside you." He cupped her cheeks, and brought his face closer to hers.
"Promise?" She asked.
"Promise." He said as he pulled her into a kiss, making them forget about what had happened and erasing their worries for what's about to come. They were here, in each other's arms, embracing the present.

The Lies They Told Me: Short stories from my life
Like many of my peers, I've discovered that life is not quite what I expected it to be. As I age, I've begun to find that many of the sayings and truths that my parents, authority figures, and friends have passed on to me were outright lies. Every person I know has been subject to the same interactions, which got me thinking, why not write a compilation of stores about my life experiences to date. I hope that this book will help all of us come to terms with the realities that we face today or deal with some of our deepest feelings about the past. Maybe these people lied to us and maybe they honestly believed the myriad of things they told us, but either way I think we can have a good laugh looking back and remembering the first times that we realized these things weren't true. I also hope that you can look back at the lies, or life lessons, that you've learned and can be inspried to own your stories and share them with others in a genuine way. Wiithout further ado, I hope that you enjoy the many short stories of my life that made me who I am today. These stories range from funny to down right surrel, so good luck on your journey!

This is the story that follows one such protector, dedicated to the elimination of those that have grown strong in the outer realms, gathering others from within to push them back. Will try and update each week. Also posting on Scribble Hub and Webnovel.

The Records of Eternity: The Traveller of Worlds
There probably won't be anything much for Traveller for the next while as I honestly don't have much of an idea of what the hell I plan on doing. While I wait for another spark of genius for this I want to get out some chapters for my other works, which I do have an idea of where I want to go. So instead of stressing myself out over this bottleneck, I will be focusing on other stories until I breakthrough. The Traveller of Worlds is a tale that tells the adventure of the young Saxon girl Millie Von Augustine, though she has another name. Millie is the eldest child of the Augustine family, a noble family in the Kingdom of Saxony. Although being a woman she was barred from succeeding her father as head of the family. In addition, she has been treated rather poorly by most of her family due to her tomboyish personality. But one day as a youth, she met someone in the woods behind her house, and this encounter would forever change her fate. Moving this to have a new chapter at a minimum of every three weeks as I have started another project full time. The cover artwork was made by Nez Illust, check their page for more their stuff. You can find more information on the universe of The Records of Eternity at https://recordsofeternity.wordpress.com/ I will also be posting any updates on how things will proceed and random other thoughts pertaining to the series on my website.

Shattered Ocean/Broken Dreams
This is the story of the truth behind the eyes of a man, who lived through a time when no place was ever... Quiet. A tale of the brutal honesty of the human spirit. Of the fragility of the mind. A tale about the resilience of humanity's will to live. A tale, not of the soldiers, but of the people they embody, not of machines, but of workers who built them. A tale about advancement and regression. Of irony. Of iron. A story, of Shattered Oceans. A tale, of Broken Dreams

Writing test
So... It has come to my knowledge that I need a proper synopsis to post/save this so here goes a thing: Someone dies, and what comes after seems to be like one of those myths of old where you are brought to the afterlife, except, this particular soul's afterlife doesn't seem like it will be comfortable, will it? WARNING: I am only writing this because I want to see how long I can keep writing from here and I am only posting it in RR because I like the display. I advise you do not start reading it but if you do, know that I PROMISE NOTHING. Pd: I write in the night settings so it may be needed to see.
