The engagement celebration happening in the beanery was soon prosponed when they were called to a scene, 5 alarm fire at a preschool on the other side of the city.

Since Annalise was now back at work, she was now Captain, she had received the call just before she came back to work confirming her promotion and she was overjoyed. She'd dreamt of following in her fathers footsteps and becoming captain of 19 ever since she met him but after the whole thing with Sullivan and her pregnancy she never thought it would happen.

"19 prepare for evac" Annalise said as they all put on their masks and headed in, in pairs. Annalise stuck with Vic, her pair, and they made their way to the south side of the building. Annalise was tired, of course she was, she had a newborn and was up at crazy hours in the night but she loved her job and had to come back to it.

"Annalise, I need to tell you something" "What is it Vic?" "I'm seeing the chief" "what, frankel? I didn't know you were into girls" "no not the battalion chief, the fire chief, im seeing Ripley" "Vic!! Are you crazy?! You could get fired!" "I know, but I think it's worth it Lisa. I really like him" "Okay well, I'm not going to report you and I'll support you if you really want this but you never told me and I don't know okay" "Of course, thank you Annalise"

Vic woke up in her apartment to the sound of the shower, this is how she'd been waking up most mornings since deans birthday. Coffee left on her bedside, the smell of Ripley on her pillows, the fresh smell of his body wash coming from the bathroom. She loved this new morning routine but was it too good to be true? Were they going to be fired? She loved her job, she didn't know what she would do without it.

"Vic, are you listening to me?" "Huh?" Vic said startled at the tall man now at her bedside wrapped in a towel. "Sorry I got lost in my thoughts, thank you for the coffee" "Hey, what's wrong? You can tell me" "I'm just worried that we might get fired, you will resent me if I'm the reason your fired" he crawled onto the bed to her side, "hey your wet, get off my bed" "Not until you stop worrying Vic, I would quit my job for you, I am not going to resent you if this gets me fired because I love this Vic and I think I'm falling in love with you" "Dammit, I'm falling in love with you too, Lucas"

"Earth to Vic" Annalise said tapping Vic on the shoulder, "S-Sorry Captain" "It's fine, just keep moving"

"Vic, is the ground shaking???" "Take cover!" The roar of the cobble and bricks falling down shattered their ear drums as it landed on top of them leaving them stuck and unconscious under the fallen building.

"Villa, Hughes do you copy?"
