Hinahoho stares out that the ocean. He looks back at Sinbad and Annalise.
"Look! We're just about there, Sinbad!" Hinahoho says and Sinbad nods. He was looking more and more like a Captain of a ship while Annalise stood beside him wearing a beautiful dress. Sinbad teased her and said she was a pirate princess. She simply yelled at him and told him that they weren't pirates and he laughs.
They arrive and Hinahoho and Jafar stand together while Sinbad and Annalise stare at the top of the stairs.
"This must be Sasan Kingdom here." Hinahoho says looking at a map, "So we'll have to pass through these mountains on foot. What kind of business do you think we can do with them?"
"Well, there are known for their minerals. The Kingdom of Sasan produces some of the world's finest metals." Jafar says, "But they've always bard their doors and refuse to trade with other countries. I think they are changing their policy though because they started trading with Reim." Sinbad drinks something from a drink pouch then he passes it to Annalise who takes it then has a drink.
"If we can make it there before others, and figure out a good working trade route... we can make huge profits!" Jafar says.
"I dunno. It's a long time to be gone. Will it be okay to rely on the others to take care of the Sindria Trading Company there?" Hinahoho says.
"Rurumu can handle anything that's thrown at her." Annalise says.
"But she's gotta take care of the baby." Hinahoho says.
"They'll be fine. I had to come because as the head of the company I have to be the face!" Sinbad says.
"And what about Annalise?" Jafar asks.

"Annalise hasn't left my side since we first met. I'm quite protective over her and I'm worried that if I don't watch her she'll be taken from me." Sinbad says and hugs Annalise who stares at their two friends with a blank expression on her face.
"I feel like you are just saying that because you want to go on an adventure." Hinahoho says and the group laughs. They make it up the mountain pass and everyone stares in shock at the Kingdom of Sasan.
"That's the summit, we made it. The Kingdom of Sasan, the Land of Purity!" Sinbad says and Annalise looks at him with a small smile.
The group heads into the entrance to the kingdom and they look around with wide eyes.
"The Kingdom of Sasan is a city-state with built in deep ravines. Sasan is also a very religious country with devout faith in an ancient God. But any business done with the outside world is considered tainted and is therefore, forbidden. That is how it became known as the Land of Purity."
The group looks around at people who start to run from them because there are impure. They are spoken to by a guy wearing armor and taken to a guy who does the accepting and rejecting.
"Before we leave, please tell us how we can form a friendship with the Kingdom of Sasan, not as merchants, but loyal friends and comrades." Sinbad says confusing the guy, "I aim to understand everyone's culture. To respect their beliefs in many different countries all over the world. How can I accomplish that in your country? Please, don't hesitate to tell me."
They learn about the Sasan Knights, as they oversaw maintaining order. Sinbad nods and smiles while Annalise looks at him. They head to find the knights and Sinbad almost gets them killed. They try at the place the Knights sleep and they get shown away. They head to a tavern and Annalise glares at Sinbad from across the table while Jafar and Hinahoho sat on each side of the table.

"I underestimated how flexible the knights are." Sinbad says. Hinahoho and Sinbad drink while Annalise slaps Jafar's hand from the alcohol. Jafar pouts at her and she shakes her head causing the guys to laugh. Annalise sniffs the air then looks over.
"We're being watched." Annalise says and the guys look over. A boy looks around before sneaking over to them.
"How'd you see me?" He asks.
"I smelled you. Everyone here is a foreigner but you smell like the people who live here." Annalise says.
"It's weird how she does that." Hinahoho says.
The innkeeper finds him and she yells at him and reveals that he's the Knight-King's son.
"The son of the King!" Sinbad says.
"This is Mystras." The innkeeper lady says and scolds Mystras. Sinbad makes her fall for him by using his charm and Annalise glares angrily at him.
"Stop making a fool of yourself." Annalise says angrily.
After Mystras hears their stories, he leaves with Sinbad's autobiography. The next day, Mystras comes begging to leave with them. At first Sinbad was going to say no, but then he sees how passionate Mystras is about going. Annalise looks at Sinbad who sighs.
"Alright, fine." Sinbad says. Mystras's younger brother shows up and yells at Mystras for wanting to leave. Mystras simply states that he doesn't want to be King.
The next day, Hinahoho stretches while they head out. Sinbad stops when he senses something and he looks back at Yunan.
"Yunan!" Annalise says cheerfully.
"Yo!" Yunan says and kisses Annalise's hand respectively.
"You know this man?" Hinahoho asks.
"He's a good friend." Sinbad says.
"I can't believe it's been two years since we last saw you. It took us months to get to Imuchakk then we stayed there for a while." Annalise says.
"You've become quite beautiful." Yunan says.
"Stop flirting with her!" Sinbad says.
"Whoops I struck a nerve." Yunan says and laughs. Yunan tells them about other capturers arising and Sinbad and the others go to find Mystras. They find him challenging all the Knights then his father. Annalise stares as she watches in shock as Mystras loses.
"Stop right there!" Sinbad says and the fight stops.

The Last Science [SE]
[SE has the same content as the original story, split into smaller chunks for easier reading. This story is on a temporary hiatus due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. I work in healthcare and unfortunately no longer have the freetime to continue posting on a regular basis. As soon as our workload decreases, I will return. Thanks for reading! 💙] No one ever knows the whole story. Deep in the forests of the Pacific Northwest, the fading town of Rallsburg stumbles upon an amazing discovery—magic itself. Faced with potentially world-shattering power, the people of Rallsburg keep the secret for themselves. Led by Rachel DuValle, a perpetually underestimated college student with grand ambitions, they seek to found a new society. The world beyond suspects nothing, but magic cannot stay hidden forever. A train arrives in Rallsburg carrying Alden Bensen, a directionless high school graduate. To him, magic could represent meaning for his life, an explanation for his empty existence. This potent force offers anyone the power to change humanity forever—or send it cascading into swift and total annihilation. The Last Science is an ongoing science-fiction / low-fantasy web novel series, focused on the modern world with a twist. New societies bud and grow, but the people who make them up are imperfect and flawed. The story includes elements of mystery, action, crime, interpersonal drama, relationships, philosophy, sociology, politics, and much more, all centered on the perspective characters driving the tale. This is the "Scraps Edition" of the story, where the chapters have been split up into bite-size chunks (roughly 1500-3000 words), for your convenience. The prose has been edited from its original form, with some improvements, but there are no content differences from the original. New chapters will be posted throughout each week starting on Friday and appearing on multiple days thereafter, depending on the length of the chapter. Content Warning (by request): This series delves into some topics and situations which may be upsetting for some readers. In American rating parlance, the narrative would be rated PG-13 (except for language), but some have noted the story can get pretty dark on occasion. Please use your best judgment, and don't be afraid to take breaks and come back later. I'll still be here! [Discord] - come hang out and chat! Dracula: Patient zero
A new take on the subject of vampirism. Who was the patient zero? What do we truly know about Vlad the impaler ? A quick look at the man behind the legends known today as Dracula the first Nosferatu. ------ Author's note: I'm self-taught in English, so the grammar may suck. I'm no professional writer so the writing style may suck. I hate FF that spend entire chapters describing stuff.. So my describing skills may suck. The main character will also suck... (Blood) I'm writing this just for fun, so if you enjoy, good for you... If not.. Then suck it..

A Standard Model of Magic
The world ended, and magic came back. The part our parents didn't expect, was for Science to break on reentry. Twenty years after the apocalypse, with our nations dismantled and hidden continents unearthed, a new generation has grown up in the wreckage of 21st century civilization. For us, the fantastic is at our doorstep and we have had no choice but to fight back. Meanwhile, the laws of nature bend and break at the whims of immortal gods, all of which are now dead and none of which are content to stay that way. But we cannot afford to give up. We are the stewards of a rewritten century, in which a little luck and a whole lot of magic might make anything possible – maybe even a world better than the one we lost. A Standard Model of Magic is a complete overhaul of my old story A Storm in the Fall. I'm afraid I was unhappy with the LitRPG elements, which I don't mind reading, but I apparently loath writing. Sorry. Once I'd made the choice to decouple the story from the OF that inspired it and reconfigure the magic system to my satisfaction, little of the original plotline survived. I will be salvaging most of my original characters, and I will keep some elements which are endemic to the genre, but that is all. I don't have an update schedule which I can commit to yet, but I will try to maintain a weekly pace.(This is currently RoyalRoad exclusive, since I'm lazy. If you find it posted elsewhere, it wasn't me and it wasn't with permission) If you're interested, I've set up a discord.
