《Sinbad: High King of the Seas》Chapter 46: "Things to Be Happy About!"

Sinbad and Annalise walk into the company and greeted by Jafar and Vittel.
"Welcome home, you two. I've prepared reports for your review. The most important deals we've made in your absence are—" Jafar says.
"That can wait." Sinbad says.
"We'd like to report our findings in Parthevia. Please gather the others." Annalise says. The two nods before they head to get the others.
About fifteen minutes later, Sinbad and Annalise sat across from Drakon and Serendine. Everyone was standing around the room. Annalise and Sinbad get ready to tell everyone what they found out in Parthevia. Serendine looks at them after she gulped.
"Please tell us... how are things in Parthevia?" Serendine asks, "My brother... the palace... what has happened to them?"
"Calm down, Serendine. We'll get to everything." Sinbad says.
Sinbad and Annalise told the of how Parthevia had changed from an absolute monarchy to a constitutional monarchy, and how the government had become centered around political partied created by the people. How Barbarossa had become the leader of the independent nationalist party.
"The abolition of the monarchy... the introduction of a people's government... Political party leaders, elections?" Mytras asks.
"It's true that Imuchakk is not a monarchy either, it a group of allied nations, but... this situation is something different... you could say?" Rurumu asks.
"It's a completely new political system." Annalise says.
"Also, the emperor, Serendine's brother is safe. Thanks to the change in the political system, it's actually guaranteed his safety, so you can put your mind at ease." Sinbad explains.
"Good, I'm glad his majesty, emperor Ceylan, is safe. I feared that due to his age, his majesty would end up in a situation much like the one we found in Heliohapt... it's ironic that Barbarossa's revolution ended up protecting his majesty... but this reform isn't really..." Drakon says.
"This is ridiculous." Serendine says, "A constitutional monarchy? I can't forgive the fact that this reform was caused was caused by a coup d'état, and my father's assassination. By stripping away all their power, it's like he made an example out of the royal family, using them as puppets. This is an insult to the throne. I won't accept it. This system shows no compassion for my brother... who has survived so much."
"Still, it's true that things have improved in Parthevia. The people, too." Sinbad says.

"Of course." Serendine says, "Placing the government in the hands of the people causes them to think only to their new advantage. It's merely temporary."
"I disagree. A country should exist for the sake of its people. Its land, its assets, they all rightfully belong to its citizens. There shouldn't be a problem with the citizens deciding for themselves how they want their country to be run. I don't think there's anything wrong with this kind of reform. In fact, I think we can learn something from it. You can govern without a king. A country can be created that way. Besides, Emperor Ceylan plays an important role as the symbol of royal authority. Serendine, it's just like you told me. As a symbol of royal authority, there's no need for him to be a leader. What is necessary is his royal bloodline. Parthevia has turned out just like that. Citizens control the government and the king is a symbol. Together they create a new country in which everyone works to sustain it." Sinbad says.
"Isn't that the ideal form of a country you told Sinbad about?" Annalise asks.
"I'd like to acknowledge the value of their efforts. So, I think Sindria Trading Company should make a deal with the Independent Nationalist Party." Sinbad says and everyone gasps.
"Sin!" Jafar says.
"Of course, we can't trust them completely. But if they become the political party in power, they could be useful to us." Sinbad says.
"It seems Sinbad is no longer a wanted man in Parthevia, so, at the very least, Parthevia in its current state is no threat." Annalise says.
"Of course, we're not just saying this out of arrogance. The Parthevia we saw with our own eyes is no longer the same country it used to be. That's why I thought about working with them. But we're not rushing into things all on our own anymore. I won't repeat... the same mistakes I made with the Mariadel company." Sinbad says.
"If you're willing to say all that, there's nothing we can do." Jafar says, "Even if we wanted to stop you, you've already made up your mind. So, let's open up trade with Parthevia."
"If Sinbad has thought that much about it, we'll believe in him." Vittel says.
"Serendine." Annalise says, "I'm sure you have your own opinions, but this is Sindria Trading company. You'll have to accept our decision."

"I know." Serendine says.
Annalise watches as Serendine was practicing trying to do a Djinn equip with Zepar. She stares down at Judar. Annalise was sure that Zepar was a little evil Magi. She wasn't going to allow that Magi to hurt Sinbad or anyone else in her family. She walks in just in time to hear an announcement from Pipirika and Mytras.
"So, that means we've decided to start dating." Pipirika says.
"That's great. You two make a nice couple." Jafar says.
"Ah, there's my beautiful wife. Go off for a walk?" Sinbad asks.
"I was watching Serendine practice for a little." Annalise says, "Congrats you two." She giggles.
"Thanks!" Mytras says.
"NO! YOUR BROTHER WON'T ACCEPT THIS!" Hinahoho says and separates Mytras and Pipirika.
"What are you doing?! Stop interfering!" Pipirika says.
"Now, now... this is good, isn't it?" Rurumu asks and Hinahoho looks over at his wife who carried her twins.
"Rurumu..." Hinahoho says.
"You made this decision together right? Then we should celebrate the happiness of two young people. So, how many children do you plan to have?" Rurumu asks.
"CHILDREN?!" The two squeak shocked.
"W-We're not old enough to think about children!" Mytras says.
"That's right! Dating and marriage are different things." Pipirika says.
"Still, I'm glad that the two of you... had the chance to meet, become friends, and develop an affection for one another." Rurumu says, "There's no way of knowing what the future holds for any of us. Everyone please try to live each day without regrets."
"Don't worry! Right now, we couldn't be happier!" Mytras says.
"That's right! You don't need to worry about us." Pipirika says.
"Well, at least we can be excited about one happy couple having a little one." Rurumu says.
"Eh? Who?" Mytras asks.
"Ah, about that." Annalise says and everyone looks at her and Sinbad. Sinbad laughs sheepishly while Annalise blushes.
"You're having a baby?!" Hinahoho asks.
"Sharrkan, Masrur and I aren't enough?!" Jafar asks a little insulted.
"I do care for all of you, and I'll always be there for all of you if you need it, but Sinbad and I are excited to be welcoming our little one in the near future." Annalise says.
"Well, that being said, but... we Imuchakk are a special race. Dating someone outside our race... is just something that's never really happened before." Hinahoho says.
"You're right. This is all just part of change, I suppose. Sindria Trading Company has really grown. As we've expanded, we've forged ties with many countries, made connections with many people, and overcome various obstacles to achieve the success we have today." Rurumu says, "Of course, we've endured the pain that goes along with it. But everyone continues fighting for what they believe in... and we've grown a lot. I'm proud of our accomplishments... of the place we've built and the all the people here."
"Yeah. Me too." Hinahoho says.
"And there's one more thing you should know." Rurumu says.
"Huh?" Hinahoho says and Rurumu whispers into his ear, "WHAT?! A FOURTH?!"
"Yes." Rurumu says.
"Our family is growing again! That's wonderful!" Hinahoho says.
"I am blessed, Lord Hinahoho." Rurumu says, "There was probably a future where we wouldn't have ended up together... but the fact that we're together and share time like this as husband and wife, makes me happy."
"Me too!" Hinahoho says.
"Wait... you two are expecting too?" Jafar says, "What is this world turning to?!"
'I wonder why... we feel so calm... and yet.. something makes me uneasy.' Annalise's thoughts say in unison with Rurumu's.
Annalise giggles as she sat beside Sinbad. She sighs as she leans back into his arms as they were catching up on work they missed while they were gone. Annalise looks up when Serendine and Judar come into the room. Sinbad looks up as well. Serendine asks for a Djinn equip battle.
"You want to have a Djinn equip battle with me? There's no need to, is there? It'll just be a waste of Magoi." Sinbad says.
"LAME! You're afraid of losing aren't you? Even though you have two metal vessels. Pathetic." Judar says. Sinbad gets up and starts pulling on Judar's cheeks.
"That's not what I said!" Sinbad says and gets zapped by Judar's shield, "OW!!!"
"This is my wish, too." Serendine says, "Please... fight me." Sinbad looks at Serendine. Annalise could tell there was something strange about Serendine.

Deep with the cozy kingdom of Daeton, among the generation-old farmlands and villages, a young farmer’s daughter stumbles upon a dead man. His elaborate clothing has been torn to ribbons, yet his skin remains unblemished. His face is peaceful, and tucked into the hand lying across his chest can be seen a solitary playing card. He is a Ludum Haeres. The last remnant of a Summoner. Numbered among those few capable of changing their destinies. The unseen rulers of the world known as Vesperia, and one of the most powerful creatures in existence. The woman knows none of this. And so, she picks up the card... This is my third novel on Royal Road, the first being "Beyond the Horizon's Eye", and the second being "The Dawnfire Archives". This story is something of a test in a new genre, that of CardLIT. We'll see how well it succeeds as the story continues. It takes place in a different setting than my other tales, with an entirely new cast of characters. It does, however, contain several ties between the stories. Average post between 1000 - 3000 words.

A dark void appeared in front of him, but only to disappear once again. Voices entered his thoughts, pain struck his head, he gripped onto his hair and groaned in agony. He looked forward and saw an image blurred in front of him, fading in and out. “Young one... “ the blurred image simply spoke. The young boy didn’t say anything and only looked down at his wound on his chest. It was a large gaping hole that passed through him, however there was no blood spilling out from it, the veins and arteries only dangled in place where a heart was supposed to be. Realising the cause of this scene the boy asked. “Am… I dead?” “Hahaha, no not at all.” A wispy tired voice simply chuckled “Then… what do you want with a dead man… but my hands...boy?” “ Well Do you…” “Do I?” “Want to change fate?” Welcomed edits and suggestions.
