《LITTLE FURY ( fairy tail. )》CHAPTER THREE ➵ NAPTIME & EXCHANGES

A few months had passed since Dealana joined Fairy Tail, and she still had yet to find Arashi. Dealana didn't practice her offensive magic openly but she did, however, float on a cloud around the guild hall, which surprised them at first. Dealana soon fit right in with everyone else in Fairy Tail, but she was closest with Erza
Erza would take Dealana on simple jobs every once in awhile so the girl could gain some experience.
Dealana's attire changed too since her arrival. Instead of her black leggings and lavender sundress, she now wore a loose cream shirt that slightly covered her black shorts. Dealana refused to wear shoes, much amusement was always found when Erza would attempt to put them on the little girl, but she did wear silver gauntlets on her wrists, which were a gift from Erza. They covered the top of her forearms and had a dragon scale pattern.
Dealana was laying on her cloud by Macao and Wakaba, two other wizards she has grown fond of as they often told her about their jobs and magic. The new pink haired boy must have been staring at Gray funny because the raven-hair boy called him out.
"Hey, what's your deal? You got a problem with me or somethin'?"
"What if I do?"
"Oh, they gonna fight?" Dealana heard Macao ask with amusement
"No way." Wakaba responded to which Delana nodded in agreement. Just then, Cana popped out from behind a barrel.
"Gray, your clothes." she reminded him
"Aw, man!" Gray jumped up. Natsu turned away with his hands behind his head in annoyance.
"Geez, what a pervert." he commented before suddenly, they clashed heads.
"Who you callin' a pervert, pinky?" Gray challenged before Dealana floated over to Reedus and Master Makarov at the bar.
"You, you loudmouthed streaker!" she heard Natsu shoot back
"You better show me some respect, ya loser!" Gray yelled during their tussle. Makarov looked to Reedus and young Dealana
"Well, feisty one, eh?"
"He'll fit right in." Reedus chuckled looking over at them. Erza stepped in between the boys pushing them back. Dealana giggled as she watched Natsu get angry again.

"You want some of this too, Red?" he shouted while Gray looked scared warning Natsu
"Don't do it!" Erza had thrown them into the walls causing craters to be left behind.
"What total idiots." Erza uttered, "Mmhmm!" Dealana agreed from her place next to Laxus at the bar. Sitting cross-legged on the cloud, the top of her head reached about his shoulder. He patted her head before putting the hand in his pocket, the other holding a drink.
"But why me too?" Gray groaned. Erza had a glint in her eye,
"You're not to fight. Are we clear?" she asked sternly to which Gray eagerly agreed
"Whoa. Scary!" Natsu said rubbing his head
"Hey, kid, what's your name?" Erza asked him. Natsu looked away
"Uh, Natsu."
"Natsu, huh? Let's get one thing straight. Everyone in Fairy Tail treats each other like family, and this guild hall is like our home." Dealana smiled at the red-head from where she sat, "It's not a place for fighting. Do you understand?" she explained
"Yeah." Natsu grumbled
"Welcome to Fairy Tail. I'm Erza." she introduced with a smile

Dealana had grown close with Lisanna and her siblings. Lisanna and Dealana would play games or Lisanna would style Dealana's hair, which had begun to grow longer. Lisanna had even made friendship bracelets for herself and Dealana, or Dea as she called her, which Dealana proudly wore on her ankle. (Dea is prounounced Day & Dealana is Day-la-na)
Currently, Lisanna was yelling a farewell to Natsu, when Mira questioned him. It soon became apparent that Natsu struggled to read and Mira gave him a hard time about it.
"Are you telling me that all you were able to read off that flier was the reward?" she asked
"Be nice, Mira!" Lisanna reminded her
"I can read!" Natsu exclaimed but Mira put a hand to her mouth,
"Oh?" she questioned
"Igneel taught me how to read and write when I was little!" he said his fist tightening around the flier, "It's just that nothing on this stupid flier makes any sense to me!" he argued

"Aw, it's okay." Lisanna comforted him taking a step forward as Natsu proceed to tell them how he knew all sorts of foods before finally admitting defeat.
"I'm serious, you guys. Igneel taught me how to read! He really did." he said with tears in his eyes. Dealana felt sorry for Natsu and understood how he felt, after all, she had just learned how to read and write herself over the past year.
"You're so cute. Please don't cry." Mira said before Lisanna cut her off
"Don't be creepy. Hands off!" she scolded her older sister
"I'm not cryin!"
"All of you need to calm down." Erza's voice came from nearby, "There's no reason for you to be embarrassed. I'm sure Igneel did his best, but it's hard to learn to read and write because there are an awful lot of words." she told him
"Know it all." Natsu grumbled
"You just have to be patient and study hard. And I could teach you if you'd like." Erza said
"No way!" Natsu exclaimed. Dealana approached them the cloud poofing away as she landed beside Lisanna,
"She taught me how to read and write, you can do it too!" she said softly. Natsu didn't need to think hard before he gave her his answer
"Sorry, but you're way too scary!" he said before Erza started dragging him away
"I can't imagine what's so scary about a vocabulary lesson." she uttered to herself. Mira was laughing as Natsu cried out for help. Lisanna called after him,
"It'll be fine! I know you'll do good!"
"Yeah! Erza's a great teacher!" Dealana yelled after him.
Gray at another table smirked at the scene, "That's what he gets for being such a dummy." he said before a bag was thrown in his face and Natsu butted heads with him again,
"Oh yeah, Mister walks-around-in-his-panties?" he challenged
"Yeah, ya snot-nosed, little brat." he shot back before Erza intervened once more
"Gimme three days." she demanded after pushing them back painfully, Dealana went over to Gray and caught him with a cloud while Erza proceeded to explain how she would help Natsu.
"All right, fine! You win. Teach me the stupid stuff already!" Natsu exclaimed
➵
"You know, this cloud is really soft. I can see why you like them so much." Gray commented when Erza dragged Natsu outside
"Hmm?" Dealana looked at Gray
"Is it really?" Cana asked putting a finger to her chin. Dealana's eyes lit up with excitement before a magic circle appeared in front of both her hands. Soon enough, a large comfy cloud appeared and several people laid down on it.
"It is really soft!" Macao agreed. Cana snuggled further in as Dealana smiled
"Oh wow!" Wakaba smiled. Dealana snuggled next to Cana before the two fell asleep, but they weren't the only ones who took a nap on the cloud too. Makarov smiled at the young girl with sky blue hair. She was growing up quicker than expected.
➵
"Bye, Dea!" an older Lisanna said to a eight-year-old Dealana, who still wore a similar outfit with the gauntlets but now she often wore a dark blue zip-up hoodie that was a gift from Gray and Cana for her birthday. Her hair was long enough that Lisanna styled in braided pig tails that came in front of either shoulder.
"You'll come back real soon?" Dealana asked hopefully
"Don't worry, Dea." Lisanna laughed
"But this is an S-Class quest, Lissa." Dealana said quietly, "What if something happens?" she asked. Lisanna bent down to the girl and brought her into a hug, Mira and Elfman watching a little ways away smiling at the interaction.
"How about this?" she said pulling away and removing her friendship bracelet. "I'll give you my bracelet and I'll take yours. When I get back we can exchange them again. This way I'll have to come back to you."
Dealana perked up and exchanged her violet anklet with Lisanna's red one and gave
Lisanna one last hug and waving at Elfman and Mira.
"Bye! Get home soon!" she called after them. But not everyone would come home...
