《Hooks Raven{Peter Pan}》Chapter 29

*Ravens POV*
I was in shock. Peter had brought me to a beautiful little glade filled with fireflies and waterfalls and then just proposed to me.
I wasn't really expecting it to be honest. He had been gone all day since we came home from that school and when he did eventually turn up he asked if we could go for a fly around Neverland. And then he got down on one knee and asked if I would marry him.
I was in so much shock that I stood there for about two minutes just staring at him. That is until he brought out a little wooden box.
"Raven, I have been gone all day so that I could find you this ring. I had to ask your father first to help me find it. I won't force you into marrying me. If you don't want to, I don't mind but please, at least talk to me." He pleaded holding out the box.
I could feel little tears at the corner of my eyes. He had asked my father. He had gone out if his way to get me a special ring. He brought me to a little glade and asked me to marry him. And all I could do was standing there and look at him.
Finally I came to my senses and found my voice.
"Oh Peter, of course I'll marry you. I'm just so surprised. I'm so sorry." I said barely above a whisper, letting the tears fall silently down my face.
"No, no don't be sorry. It's fine. I just...wow. That was a lot more stressful than I thought it would be." He replied looking overjoyed. He lifted the lid of the little box and revealed my ring. I gasped again as more tears slide silently down my cheeks.
It was the most beautiful ring I had ever seen. It was a simple silver band studded with tiny black crystals and a bigger crystal in the middle.

"Oh Peter, where did you get this? It's so beautiful." I said. He replied with a smile and just slid it on to my left ring finger. It was cool and hard against my skin but it fit perfectly and it looked as if it had always been there.
"I'm glad you like it so much. I wanted it to be perfect for you." He replied as he held my hands.
"It's amazing." I said leaning over and giving him a quick kiss.
"Well you got it from me so it's going to be amazing." He said, smirking.
"Wait are we talking about the same Peter Pan here?" I said sarcastically.
"Well at least I don't cry when something nice happens." He retorted pointing at my tears.
"At least I don't wear jewellery that glows." I replied.
"I would murder you for bringing that up again, but I think I'd miss you too much. So you can stay... for now." He said.
"I have never been more offended in my life. I can't believe you would say that to me." I said sarcastically, throwing my head back and placing my hand on my heart dramatically.
"Okay, okay. We should start heading back to the camp. It's getting kind of late." Pan said, taking my hand again.
"Okay then. Let's go." I said pulling him upwards. He followed quickly and soon we were back at the camp.
"This is going to be so awkward. I hated people congratulating me on stuff. Like on my birthday, I hate when people say happy birthday. It's weird." I said as we aproached.
"Hang on, I have an amazing idea. Let's say you turned your ring around so no one could really see it, and then we act like nothing happened." Pan suddenly suggested. My eyes grew wide.
"Yes! And then we can just ask them one day for ideas about our wedding when we decide to have it." I said. This way, I wouldn't have to go through people saying how happy they were and stuff. It was perfect.

We landed in the camp and walked over to where everyone was seated. I saw Dad look over expectantly and Mother looked quickly at my left hand but a puzzled expression came over her face as she didn't see the little silver band that was my ring.
"Oh, Peter, Raven. How are you both? Please take a seat as we eat dinner." She said as we sat down. She was clearly trying to keep in her questions.
"Thanks Mother." I said sitting down across from Wendy and Edward.
"So did you hear Wendy and Edwards news?" Dad asked. I shook my head.
"Well they're engaged." Mother let out. I turned to Wendy who looked at the table cloth, a slight blush going across her cheeks.
"No way! Congratulations guys! When's the wedding?" I said excitedly.
"Yes isn't it wonderful." Mother said, as everyone glanced over at me and Peter.
"So Peter and Raven, have you got any news that you would like to share with us?" Dad finally asked.
"Yes actually we do." I said. I could see Peter look over puzzled.
"What is it dear?" Mother asked politely, excitement clear on her face.
"Peter and I....are going to....." I said dragging it out.
"What is it dear? Come on you know you can tell us anything." Dad said.
"Okay I guess I should tell you as you'll all be there on the special day any way. We're going to get a puppy!" I said excitedly.
"Oh. Well that's nice dear." Mother said turning back to her plate.
"Nice one." Peter whispered to me. I just smiled in reply.
"So where is Jenny?" I eventually asked. Kiara and Cara were there and so we're fiona and Lauren but I couldn't see Jenny.
"Oh she's probably in the water. She said she was going down about an hour ago." Kiara replied.
"The water? Why? It's incredibly dangerous at this time." Peter said.
"Oh didn't you know? Jenny's mom was a mermaid. She goes down to the water about once a month to go and swim with the others.
"What? No way! That is so cool! I want to be a mermaid!" I said. That was actually so amazing. I never would have believed it.
The meal ended with everyone feeling too tired for anything else. We all started to go up to bed.
"So do you think anyone suspects anything?" I asked Peter as we got ready for bed.
"I don't think so. Are we really planning on getting a puppy? We already have a dog in the camp. Or did you forget about Nana?" He replied, climbing into the bed.
"Well it would be nice. But I don't know where we'd get it from. I'd love to have a puppy. They're so cute!" I said climbing in next to him.
"Well maybe. Let's talk about it tomorrow." He said wrapping his arms around me. I snuggled into his side.
"You're really warm, Peter." I said, noting his body temperature.
"Thank you. And you're incredibly cold for a girl in July." He replied.
"Well in my defence it is kind of cold in here. And I've always been a bit of a cold creature to be honest." I said, yawning.
"Come on, get some sleep. It's pretty late." Peter whispered in my ear. I shut my eyes and fell into deep sleep, my new ring pressed cold against my finger.
