Overthinking is and will probably forever be Taehyung's biggest enemy.
He was lying in bed now, it was around 11 pm and he couldn't find the will to close his eyes and drift off to dreamland. Not to mention, it is sleep that was the cause of this overthinking in the first place .
After coming back from school, Taehyung took a short nap. It was barely an half hour, but it felt like a whole day passed.
It did, actually. In his dream.
His fantastic dream that made him overthink literally everything.
"Ugh.." he huffed annoyed, switching the sides he was laying on.
Everything would've been alright if the dream was a concept-less and confusing one, that doesn't even make sense, like dreams usually would be.
But this... no, don't even try. It felt real. A dream so clear, that it had him staring around the room for 30 seconds when he woke up until he could even comprehend that it wasn't reality.
Anyways, enough tension building, you already got a hunch of what the dream was about, right?
Jeon Jeongguk.
Of fucking course.
The dream started off so innocent, just two best friends watching a child movie, Finding Nemo. It was throwback to when they were younger, both loving this movie.
However, simply watching a movie wasn't what threw Taehyung so off track.
Because him and Jeongguk were both grown ups— the age they are right now, and you can bet your eyeball that they barely even paid attention to the TV screen.
Only to each other.
Yes, you're thinking right. He dreamed about the whole program. Kissing, touching, sucking, fucking— and that with Jeongguk.
Taehyung woke up with a boner that evening.
It wasn't just that. The whole dream just displayed a happy life of two boys clearly in love.
He definitely blamed Jimin and Yoongi for this messed up dream. Their cute relationship and the things that happened with Jeongguk probably just got entangled with each other and mixed.
That is why he had that dream.
Taehyung took a shallow deep breath. Where is all this stuff suddenly coming from? Never has he viewed Jeongguk in a way like that. Not sexual and definitely not romantically.
Admittedly, he had to say that in these past few days, he found his mind slipping in that direction way too often though. Now that he sees Jimin and Yoongi together, living in their love bubble, he finds himself thinking more and more about relationships.

"I'm leaving mom!" Taehyung announced standing in the door step.
"Bye honey. Have fun in school!" He heard his mom shout back, as she was busy doing mom things in the kitchen. Taehyung and her hadn't talked about Jeongguk or what happened that evening again, but the conflict just dissolved with the time. It's been already a week, there's no use in ignoring each other.
Taehyung was on his way to school now. Everything seemed to go back to how it was. Him and Jeongguk were ignoring each other, unless it came to classes, where they would start bickering like the petty idiots that they are.
Although, there's this little secret of Taehyung. His eyes would always start searching for Jeongguk, his heart would speed up by the mention of him and now that he had this dream, he can't imagine how he will be able to faze Jeongguk in school today.
A big sigh left him, his lips in a pout. He didn't want to think like this.
Not about Jeongguk.
He is supposed to hate him, beat him in everything, not dream about his manly tattooed hands wrapped around his skin while he was making him feel good underneath.
Ugh.
Arriving in school he barely even took a breath inside the building, when someone grabbed his wrist and pulled him with him. It was Jimin of course.
"Where are you going?"
"I need to tell you something!"
"And for that you have to drag me through the halls?"
"Yes."
They entered the boy's washroom.
Taehyung rolled his eyes. "So what's it now?"
"You know, Yoongi's birthday is in a week."
"No, I don't? Well... now, I do. Have you planned something?"
Jimin blushed. "I thought I was going to bake something for him and... I want to kiss him?"
Taehyung's eyes widened. "You haven't kissed yet?!"
Jimin looked around the room. "Shhh, don't shout. And yes. Yoongi would be my first kiss and I wasn't ready now and he was totally okay with it and said he'll wait for me, but I feel guilty for letting him wait and I think I am ready now.."
Taehyung's face broke into a smile. "You're adorable."
Jimin scoffed, hitting Taehyung's shoulder. "Stop. So.. is it a lame idea? A kiss is something so normal between couples, I feel like it's such a simple thing—

"I think it's perfect."
Jimin looked up to Taehyung. "Really?"
Taehyung hummed, smiling brightly. "Yes.. not only are you gifting him a kiss, you're also showing him that you trust him. It's such a meaningful thing to do."
"Shortie's right, it would mean a lot to him."
Taehyung rolled his eyes by the new voice, although it immediately reminded him on the dream he had and let his tummy churn. He felt like gagging.
Jimin smiled embarrassed. "You won't tell him, right?"
Jeongguk chuckled, ignoring Taehyung. "Nah, m'not like that. Also, you shouldn't talk in the bathroom's about your secrets," he looked directly at Taehyung. "Who knows who might be listening."
Taehyung froze. His mouth hung open a little. Was Jeongguk the one in the washroom a few weeks ago? Well, guessing by the look that he gave him, yes he was.
He did not remember everything Jimin's and his conversation was about, but he still remembers they talked about Jeongguk. And Taehyung said that he was done with him.
Good. That's how it should be.
Jeongguk should know Taehyung is done with him and dOeSn'T need him anymore.
"This explains the questions when we were stuck in the classroom," he blurted out, giving Jeongguk a look back. If he thought he could intimidate Taehyung with the fact that he heard them, he thought wrong. Taehyung didn't care.
"What questions?" Jimin asked looking to the ravenette, who stared at Taehyung with amusement sparking in his eyes.
"Not important, we just played a game," Taehyung responded bored and Jeongguk raised an eyebrow at the tone the younger used.
"Still, you were unsure with that one question," Jeongguk pushed and Taehyung scoffed.
That question. 'Do you hate me?'
"Yes, I hate you," Taehyung gave the sweetest fake smile he could muster up to the ravenette, but Jeongguk wasn't fazed, kept the smirk and teasing expression.
"Yeah, euhm... I'm not understanding anything, so I'm just going to search for Yoongi..." Jimin excused himself, but Taehyung and Jeongguk didn't pay much attention to him, too busy giving each other glares, when Jimin left the room.
"You don't hate me," Jeongguk chuckled and Taehyung doesn't like how that made him feel. So small and weak, he was so unsure that Jeongguk saying that hit right in the most painful spot.
"I do," Taehyung retorted bitterly. "And I have all the rights to."
Jeongguk's expression faltered a little and Taehyung tilted his head in confusion by that. Come on, Jeongguk can't seriously be that affected by the blond's words.
"You don't hate me," the ravenette retorted, the confidence he had before had obviously faltered a little and Taehyung wondered what went through the ravenette's head. Why did he look so unsure now? So... scared.
Taehyung felt so... ugh. He found this whole situation unfair, wished Jeongguk could just stay out of his sight, so he can move on from the past easier and even forget about these damn feelings that are forming in the depths of his heart. "Do you think I'd still feel the same about our friendship after everything you made me go through?" He chuckled bitterly. He didn't know where this was suddenly coming from, but he felt the need to let it out, sudden anger and tension cloaking up his throat.
"If I hate you or not literally doesn't change anything over the fact that I can't fucking stand you. You abandoned me without telling me anything, didn't even tell me that you moved houses. Do you know how I fucking felt when I knocked on your door and someone else opened up and told me you moved? N-not only that, but you did so many things without even thinking about how I felt and all of a sudden you come back to school like nothing happened and ignore me like I was never part of your life. So tell me, why in the world shouldn't I hate you?" His voice was loud, obviously confronting.
Jeongguk just looked at him and judging by his expression, Taehyung knew his words had hit him and for some reason he felt all self conscious. He was supposed to pretend like Jeongguk leaving him didn't affect him much, but he just proved the complete opposite.
"Nevermind, I'll get going now," Taehyung spoke monotonously and turned around to leave the room, with all this bitterness swirling on the insides of him.
And there was this little spark of glistening hope that screamed that Jeongguk was running after him. That he wouldn't let him go again.
But feelings deceive and Jeongguk never came after him.
