《The Underworlds Hero》Blades of Heroes

Toga charged at Kizuki with knives in her hands. She went for areas where her ligaments that weren't dangerous for the villain. However, a villain came in front of her for Toga to move her knives so she wouldn't kill someone. This ended badly however as the villain had a bat to hit her shoulder out of place. "OW!" She was nocked to the ground from the vigilante to nearly get swarmed by other villains. Luckily Ashido had her back and avoided them from being overwhelmed. "You ok?" "I'll live." The blond places her shoulder back into it's socket and grunted in pain. "This is where heroes are weak. They need to rely on 'morals'. You don't kill because you think it's 'wrong'. Meanwhile, a villain will kill someone without a second thought. Doesn't that anger you that they can play god with who lives and who dies and you can't." Ashido began melting the ground under a bunch of villains for them to fall into the sewers. "This way!" The two ran as fast as they could with an army of villains behind them. "I see your leader taught you how to run like a coward. How sad."
Both girls were getting madder and madder at the blue skinned villain with them making a stand in a general store. Toga was able to grab a few knives and began throwing Nd them into the villains thighs. While she did this, Ashido pulled as much baking soda as she could off the shelves and threw it at the army. "What are you gonna do with this?" A villain taunted her as the pink skinned girl threw her own acid at them. What they didn't know was that it was the acidity of common vinegar for the baking soda to bubble up and get in their eyes. "AAAHHHH! IT STINGS!" They fell to the ground for them both to go and knock them out. "Nice touch with the child experiment there." The bodies of the villains started to expand however for some reason. "Too bad these subordinates are ready to give their lives for our cause." The villains exploded with the force sending the two back into a shelf. "Dammit. What the hell was that?" The two looked up to see the building splattered with blood. "Did she just kill those people without thinking twice?" Ashido was amazed while Toga looked at the scene disgusted. "These people are psychos."
"How fun that a girl that's been diagnosed with a mental disorder can say that." Kidzuki walked over with more villains swarming the building. "We gotta get out of here. This area's a liability." The two broke a window open and went out before they were trapped. "So these guys aren't afraid to die? Are they nuts?" Ashido questioned before noticing her blond friend not in a talkative or happy mood for once. "Toga?" "I don't wanna talk about it." They kept running before some guy with an elastic quirk blocked their main escape. "Now that you're both unable to leave, why not answer a few questions for the media. I'm dying to know about the girl that was disowned by her own parents and siblings." Ashido's eyes went wide to look at her friend. "Oh she didn't tell you? Well let me explain. You see Himiko Toga was-" "SHUT UP! JUST SHUT UP ALREADY!" The blond lost all her patience to glare Kizuki on the eyes. "So what if my family kicked me out for my quirk! So what if the night I was thrown on the streets, some thugs tried to kidnap and sell me into human trafficking! I'm who I am today because I'm a good person at heart!"

Toga came at Kizuki again with knives for her to be jumped by some thugs again. The said villains exploded after to send a painful shock to the blond before being grabbed by Kizuki and slammed to the ground. "TOGA-" Ashido was knocked to the ground by a couple of villains and kicked around. "Tell me my dear, how does it feel to be condemned by even those you need to trust for something you had next to no control over?" Toga looked at Kizuki blankly before spitting blood in her face. "You know, most of my guests have manners." Toga flipped her middle finger at the blue skilled woman. "Now I'm more intrigued in you." A bracelet on her wrist transforms into a giant brick shaped gauntlet. "Curious Flattener!"
She began striking Toga repeatedly with no restraint while smiling. "Show me your true face Himiko Toga! Lay everything bare for me to capture your true self on camera!" After a solid hit to the face, the blond started to stop moving and slowly slip out of consciousness. "T-Toga." Ashido tried to get up, but was stomped down. "How sad. Midoriya put his faith in you both and you can't even pay back the life he saved." Kizuki started to laugh with Toga's mind going back to her childhood.
"YOU DISGUSTING CHILD!" A young Toga was kicked to the ground by a man with blond hair. "IT'S BAD ENOUGH YOU HAVE THAT DISGUSTING QUIRK! NOW YOU HAVE TO SHAME US EVEN MORE BY BEING SICK IN THE HEAD!?" A year ago, it was discovered by accident that Toga had a villainous quirk. Needless to say, this didn't go so well with her parents. "Why did you have to be the first child born? At any rate, why did you even exist?" A brown haired woman with yellow car eyes says in disgust. Due to some difficulties in school, Toga was asked to do some testing for them to come back that she's borderline bipolar. The parents were enraged that their eldest daughter was so much problem to the point they could hardly stand looking at her. "I'm sorry. I'll be a good girl." Toga got up and hid tears while walking back to her room. She remained there all night while studying to help make up for what was wrong with her in her parents eyes.
As days continued, her classmates began jumping on and treating the young blond's life like crap. When she got home, her parents would regularly take out their anger on her by belittling the young child. This continued for about a year until Toga snuck out one night and ran away. She wandered the streets of the silent town before hearing someone behind her. Toga turned around to see a man in a mask and a rather snazzy suit. "Who-who are you?" The man took off the mask to reveal it to be Hisashi Midoriya. "I'm the underworld hero: AFO. It's nice to meet you miss..." the pro trailed off for Toga to understand what he meant. "H-Himiko Toga." "Well Ms. Toga, what's a young girl like you doing out alone?" Toga held her head down for Hisashi to get this. "I see. Would you like to accompany me for something warm to drink?" Toga didn't respond but followed the pro.
They sat inside a coffee shop where the man gave her a hot chocolate for her to begin explaining what happened. "So your mom and dad look at your quirk as evil and ridiculed you for it. It got worse when you were diagnosed bipolar from the doctors to the point them and the students at your school think you're defective as they call you." Toga nodded before asking. "What does 'defective' mean?" "Defective means that something is wrong with whatever it is that they're talking about that shouldn't be." "....So...is something wrong with me? Is it because of my quirk or what they call me?" Toga began to cry before feeling a hand on her head. "Nothing is wrong with you. When people don't understand something, they use words like 'monster' or 'defective' to explain they don't understand. Look at my quirk. I can practically steal anyone's quirk, but that doesn't mean I'm a villain or monster. The only person who can tell you what you are is you." These words hit the blond deeply as she started to blush a bit. "I see a lot of my own son in you. He has his own problems and is trying to fight through them as well. All it just takes is finding people that love and respect you as you are." "T-thank you." "Come. I think it's about time I bring you home. But if you take anything from today, it's never think something is wrong with you when nothing is. If you do, that's when something is truly wrong with you."

Toga kept these words to heart for the next few years. She kept in mind that she can be who she wants to be and focused on her strengths. The blond took time to learn of the human body as well as focus with knives in her free time. She planned to be a hero just like her hero was to her. A guiding light to those with self doubt from others. But one day, she realized something bad happened to her hero. "No....NO!" She watched a video of AFO brought from a scene of a battle with people immediately working on him. He barely was holding onto life for her to begin wailing at what she saw. "WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU SCREAMING ABOUT DEFECT!?" Her father came into the room to see her balled up at her chair watching something on the monitor. "STOP CRYING!" This didn't help for the man to smack Toga on the ground. "I SAID SHUT YOUR MOUTH!" He began kicking her for Toga to hold her side in pain before being dragged out by her arm. She was then thrown out of the house with the door locking behind her. "YOU COME BACK HERE AGAIN AND I'LL TREAT YOU LIKE THE VILLAIN YOU ARE!" Toga heard the door lock to wait a few moments to think this was a cruel joke. When she realized this wasn't, she walked out and towards the street alone.
Toga was distraught. In a matter of minutes, she realized her hero may be gone as well as being thrown out by her own family. She tried to keep the tears from falling, but it was hard just to keep this from happening. Walking down the street, she began to attract the attention of some unwanted people. "Hey sweetheart. Where ya heading?" Two guys came up towards Toga for her to brush them off. "Now there's no need to be rude. Why don't you hang out with us? We can have a party." She continued to ignore them before one grabbed her arm. "SAY SOMETHING BITCH!" "DON'T TOUCH ME!" Toga slapped their hands away to only gain a punch to the face by one of them. "SHUT THE FUCK UP YOU BITCH!" The taste of iron was in her mouth for fear to start coming into the blond's mind. 'I gotta run.' Toga ran as fast as she could down the street with next to nobody being on the sidewalks to see what's happening. 'Somebody! Anybody! Why isn't a hero around!?' She eventually found herself in an alley with a gun being shot behind her. She turned around to see the two men smiling at her with one holding a handgun.
"Good to know you get the position you're in." "Oh, and don't try to scream. Nobodies gonna hear you." Realizing this would be her end, Toga looked back at everything in her life and couldn't help but cry knowing this was probably the final act this cruel world would give her. "Hey!" Toga heard someone approach them with a hood covering what looked like a guy not much older than her. The two thugs and the unknown man began to beat and steal the quirks of the two thugs. When he was done and the two were taken care of, Toga got up and looked at the man. "Whoever you are. Thank you." He spoke no words, but lifted his right arm that was dislocated during the fight up. When he left, Toga walked out of the alley and bumped into a guy with ash blond hair. "What the hell are you doing here?" She looked at the guy to show bruises and scrapes for a woman that looked to be the boy's mother to rush over and try to help. "What happened to you!?" She pulled out a handkerchief to wipe some of the blood away for Toga to start crying. Her life went from hopeful to rock bottom in a matter of one night and finally found someone able to show some compassion. She fell to her knees and cried for both the boy and the woman to try and help.
"Such a shame. A woman that had to die just for the purpose of the world that disowned her from everything. But don't cry, you'll be a sacrificial lamb to the new world of order we are establishing." Kizuki pulled her arm back with Toga's hand coming up. "I guess this ends our interview. Thank you and goodnight Himiko Toga." The blue skinned woman began moving her hand forward for Ashido to shout for her friend. "TOGA!" Before anyone could think, Toga's hand turned into blades ans slashed right through the weapon and slice up Kizuki's arm. "AHH!" She backed away with blood dripping down to the floor. "WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT!? YOUR QUIRK SHOULD ONLY TURN YOU INTO SOMEONE ELSE, NOT THIS!?" The blond got on her feet still barely conscious as she smiled. "You think Midoriya wasn't smart enough to understand this was a trap the second we'd walk in. He made sure to give us all an extra quirk and train with it a day or two to know how to use it before we came here. Don't take us lightly."
"Time to end this Ashido." The pink skinned girl nodded for her body to begin melting. "What the!?" A villain looked down to only see the clothes Ashido wore before being trapped in some kind of pink shapeless blob. "WHAT THE HELL IS THIS STUFF!?" "I should really thank Mido for this when we get the chance." Ashido said this as her head shaped outside the dozens of thugs trapped in the pink slime.
"Now let me give you a lesson. What happens when you're trapped in a girl who's body turns to slime and can secrete acid from her skin?" The villains trapped in the slime began to scream in pain as they felt acid come from the slime and burn them. When they had enough, Ashido returned to her clothes and placed her body back to what it was. "SO HE PLANNED THAT FAR AHEAD!?" Kizuki ordered several other villains to come attack the two for the same thing to happen. Ashido turned her arms into slime to trap and burn them, while Toga went over and crippled them with her fingers turning into blades. When she got to Kizuki, the villain began to panic a bit. "Get back! GET BACK!" As the blade was about to cut into her neck, Toga's hand returned to normal for the blond to grab and hold Kizuki down to the ground. "It's true. Heroes are forced to hold back. We keep ourselves in check so we hold that fine line of who's the real hero and who's the real villain in this world. But if the situation calls for it, a hero will be able to take a villain down and out. That doesn't mean we're selfish or do it for evil though. And this is what's happening now." Her hand returned to blades for it to slice through Kizuki's neck and sever her head. "Goodbye, Chitose Kizuki
And that finishes this chapter. So every member of the Deika raid on Izuku's side will have a second quirk. See what happens next time. Hope you all enjoyed and thanks for reading.

Fates Parallel is my first serious attempt at writing a story, and a personal love letter to Eastern fantasy and xianxia stories. It's heavily inspired by East Asian culture, folklore, and mythology, with what is likely going to be a decidedly Western artistic license. I try to write every day, with a goal of about 45,000 words per month (~1500 per day). Chapter lengths are around 3000 words on average, releasing on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Cover art drawn by the incredibly talented Tsuu (TsurotArtistry).
