《Princess Of The Underworld》28| Good VS. Evil

Everyone gasped as Maleficent stood in the center of the room. So much for our parents not being able to reach us here.
"Go away mother." Mal said, an exasperated look on her face.
The dark fairy chuckled, "Oh, she's funny, she's funny." Maleficent then turned to face me, "Now wand me. Chop, chop!"
I looked at the wand in my hand, to Mal who nodded. I held the wand out to Maleficent.
"No!" Ben cried out, just as I tossed the wand over to Fairy Godmother.
The Headmistress caught it, "Bibbidi-bobbidi-"
"Boo!" Maleficent cut her off, laughing just as she slammed her staff down on the ground, a large wave of green magic exploding across the hall.
I looked up after a second to see that seemingly nothing happened. A quick glance around the room showed that everyone wasn't moving.
I whirled around to face Ben, who stood a few feet away, his hand was reaching out towards me, but he wasn't moving.
The gang traded confused and worried looks with me, we were the only ones not frozen in time.
At the sound of Maleficent humming I turned to the front of the hall to see her approaching Ben's dad.
She took the glasses off his face, biting them, "Oh, in another time, another time." She gazed at him lustfully, (causing me to throw up a little in my mouth), before placing his glasses back on him crookedly.
The sorceress passed Belle, shooting her frozen form a glare as she made her way over to Fairy Godmother, "Oh, looks like someone needs to pluck their nose hairs." Maleficent chuckled at her own joke, plucking the wand from her hand. I traded a worried look with Mal.
"What to do first?" The woman in all black hummed to herself as she looked at the wand in her hand.
Maleficent did a double take over me, before she nodded, "Oh! Yes. Your dad would want me to take that!"

She then pointed the wand at me, causing Ben's ring to fly straight off of my hand! I felt my heart stop for a second.
Maleficent mock-pouted at me, "Oh don't look at me like that, it didn't match your outfit." I looked down at where the ring used to be, gulping.
The evil-fairy waltzed up to Ben, whose glass-like eyes were frozen on me.
She studied him for a moment, glancing over at me, "He is cute." I growled under my breath at his statement, "But falling in love? Oh no, no, no. It's worthless."
She flicked Ben's face towards her own, I reached out towards the king, but Jay grabbed my wrist, holding me back.
Maleficent rolled her eyes at Ben, flicking his face back to it's former position, not before knocking his crown sideways.
She then cast a glance at her daughter, where she was holding hands with Evie, "Love is not what you want."
"You don't know what I want!" Mal yelled, looking directly her mom , "Have you ever asked what I wanted? I'm not you!"
"Oh obviously," Maleficent chuckled, "I have had years and years of evil training, you'll get there."
I shook my head, taking a step closer to Mal, "No, she won't. And I really, really wish that you hadn't gotten there yourself."
Maleficent glared at me, her eyes turning their fiery green, "I know one thing young lady, and that is that you have no room for pathetic things like love in your life!"
I stepped back from the woman just as Mal yelled out, "And now I command, wand to my hand!" The wand then shot out of Maleficent's hand and into
Mal's who looked at the wand like she couldn't believe that actually worked.
Maleficent growled, walking in a circle around herself, "Frankly this is tedious and very immature." She turned to face her daughter, "Give me the wand! Gimmie the wand!"

We all stepped back as Maleficent grew angrier by the second.
Carlos placed his hand nervously on Mal's shoulder, "Hold on, Mal. Maybe good really is more powerful than evil"
Maleficent laughed darkly, "Oh please, you're killing me! Arf!" She barked at Carlos, thinking it would scare him, but it only caused Dude to come running, jumping onto Maleficent.
Jay then leaped forward, grabbing ahold of the Dragon's Eye as Maleficent threw Dude off of her.
Mal's mom then grabbed Jay by the arms, glaring at him.
"Oo, Gaston should be jealous." She chuckled, a green burst of magic let out, causing Jay to fly back.
Maleficent turned to the rest of us, "You will regret this!" A large cloud of black smoke surrounded her, and I sighed in relief only before the smoke cleared revealing a large purple dragon!
Could this get any worse?
The dragon then let out a roar, fire flying out of it's mouth, burning the carpet as we all let out a scream. I stand corrected!
We all ran back, ducking behind pillars as Maleficent went after Jay.
"Did you know your mom could do that?" I yelled at Mal, between breaths as I jumped behind a stone pillar.
Mal glared at me, "I have an idea." My purple-haired friend called out to me and I nodded, "But it involves me looking directly into my mom's eyes."
I looked at the girl dumbfounded, "You mean the eyes that are right above your mom's fire breathing mouth?" Mal looked at me and I gave in, "Fine! Cover me!"
The idea that was forming in my head was a long shot, but it was the only thing left I had to go off of.
I dashed away from the pillar, ducking behind an overturned column as another wave of fire roared out.
I reached the front of the hall, casting a glance at Ben, before running over to the frozen figure of Lumiere, digging in his pockets for what I had asked him to hold.
My hand clasped around the object and I let out a yelp, diving to the ground just as a blast of my Maleficent flew over me,
I ran into the middle of the room, the dragon swooping around me in circles as if I were it's pray.
"Hadey!" I ignored Evie's call for me as I glared at the dragon.
I held the glowing with stone out towards Mal's mom, "I wish I had a bright light!"
A beam of searing with light shot out of the rock, hitting Maleficent directly in the eye, distracting her.
I looked down at the stone in shock, "I can't believed that actually worked."
I threw the rock over my shoulder as the rest of the gang appeared around me, Mal pushing her way to the front.
"Leave my friends alone!" Mal yelled to the dragon, holding up the wand.
The two's eyes glowed green as Mal started chanting, "The strength of evil is good as none, when stands before five hearts as one! The strength of evil is good as none, when stands before five hearts as one!"
My own eyes flashed blue as I joined Mal, "The strength of evil is good as none, when stands before five hearts as one!"
I heard the others join in, Maleficent's glowing eyes wavering, "The strength of evil is good as none, when stands before five hearts as one! The strength of evil is good as none, when stands before five hearts as one! The strength of evil is good as none, when stands before five hearts as one!"
The dragon's green eyes then stopped glowing completely, and for one second all I could hear was my own ragged breathing.
Then, Maleficent let out one last roar and disappeared in a cloud of smoke.

What seems like an innocent game trope turns into a nightmare. This is a story of tragedy and the path to ultimate power. All in the hopes of an uncertain survival. _________ This fiction has NOT been abandoned. I made a haughty promise earlier to not worry because I'll continue this series, and with things lately, I've only proved myself a liar. Further promises dwindled, and I've lost trust. So many things have been going on recently that I've been booked. I will refrain from making any future guarantees or promises as my busy schedule will stay with me for a long long while. Time for me to actually spend on writing and revising won't appear until at the least November 19. I won't say expect that's when I'll restart, but you can expect expecting it to maybe happen. That's really shallow. But with everything going on, I've let my small reading base down. I apologize. I still stick by my statement though that I won't abandon this project. I plan to stick it to the end, no matter the delay. Most importantly, thank you everyone; readers who both like and dislike my work. I appreciate your time spent on my dumb imagination. Stay toasty my readers in this winter season. Cheers. UPDATE: We're back on track. Thank you for your patience. Any future readers, heyo! Glad you're here. UPDATE 2: So far it's been 21 days since I last uploaded a chapter. The best thing done for any fiction, no matter how good it is, is that it continues, and I have a bad history with that. 1 fiction on hiatus and already more delays with less than 20 chapters in this fiction. I've been very preoccupied with adding more things to do in my life rather than actually committing to any particular thing. That applies primarily to this. I cannot abandon this, as busy as my future looks and will look as I get busier and busier. Someday, I hope, I will be able to sit down and just write. just. write. But for now, I ask for patience. I suppose I'm glad this fiction hasn't picked up so that I don't disappoint too many people if any really. But I need to commit and it's going to happen sometime and sometime soon. No more flowery words. I'll see you later. UPDATE 3: It's very evident I won't be able to pick up this story for a while. With AP Testing, competitions, and other things I am busier than ever. But I must complete this fiction. I have too. Until next time. UPDATE 4: It is now the summer. I owe everyone an apology. Chances are, nobody's around to see this, and that is okay. I only blame myself for this sort of brokenness of a fiction, not that it is actually that bad but I am just exaggerating it for dramatic effect. But what's not exaggerated is the severity of my broken promise. I apologize for my naive claims about finishing a novel that I couldn't finish and that I didn't have the discipline to finish. Nor the skills, really, I was and am still an immature writer. What is to place now? I want to make it clear I understand this is my fault. I will man up to this. And I will accept any criticism. I understand I messed up. Reading Stephen King's On Writing made it clear to me that I need to do two things:Read lots. And write lots.I have done neither. If I don't have the time to read often, how do I expect to write? I need to become more experienced. I need to become a serious writer. So if I want to dream of continuing, I need to at least fulfill both requirements. I enjoy writing. I haven't written seriously outside of school in a while. I planned to write this summer and finish this. I made a lot of promises that I didn't keep.So there's that. I won't enact any self-pity, or be foolishly obsessed. What I did was wrong, and I must deal with it. I let down readers. And I apologize.I hope I can find forgiveness. This is a writer's sin.I won't promise I'll finish this. I intend to finish this, at some point, because writing is fun and I want to write. But how things are don't reflect that. Maybe I'll finish this at some point. Maybe I won't. I won't be naive to make that promise.I thank everyone who has read this if this is the end. If not, and hopefully not, I thank everyone who is to read future chapters. I thank everyone who allowed me to live in the miniscule little dream of mine as I passed my days. I thank everyone who cares enough to read this. Until next time, peace everyone. Thank you. You are all great readers and great people. I wish everyone the best in whatever reading/writing endeavors follow you henceforth.
