Spain was lying on the couch, a half-empty packet of chips next to him and controller in hand. He was currently kicking ass in Minecraft, when his phone dinged. Luckily, he had just killed the last person and won the Minecraft Hunger Games round, so he dropped his controller on the couch and scooped up his phone. His crush, (Y/N), had texted him.
(Hey, Spain!)
(Hey, (Y/N). What's up?)
(Wanted to know if you wanted to hang out?)
(Of course! I'm not busy)
(Cool! Meet up at yours?)
(Sure, see ya soon!)
Spain smiled, put his phone on the coffee table and stretched. He looked around, and realized how messy his house was. Spain groaned. "I really needa get a life.." He mumbled, before starting to clean up.
While he was cleaning, a loud crash of thunder and a white flash startled him. Rain started bucketing down, pounding on the roof and thumping against the window. Spain sighed, grabbed some nearby matches and crouched in front of the fireplace. He chucked some scrunched up paper and logs into the hearth before striking a match and tossing it on the mess of paper and wood.
The door opened, and slammed shut again. Spain turned to see a soaking wet (Y/N) leaning against the door, grinning at him. "Hi, Spain!" She exclaimed, completely ignoring the rain water trickling down her face. Spain chuckled. "Hey, (Y/N). How are you?" "Wet, but otherwise fine!" (Y/N) looked down at the small puddle at her feet, and sighed. "Sorry for getting water on your floor."
Spain smiled. "It's all good. If you're cold, you can take a shower, I can give you a shirt to wear. You're so small it'll be like a dress for you." He said, to which (Y/N) sniffed. "I get it, I'm short. But yes please, I'm freezing." She said. Spain chuckled, grabbed her cold, wet hand and dragged her upstairs to his room. He pushed open his door, made a beeline for the closet and swung it open.

A minute later, a towel and a shirt was thrown in (Y/N)'s face. "Here you are." He said, before pushing (Y/N) into the bathroom connected to his bathroom. "Just dump your wet clothes and towel in the laundry basket." He said, before leaving (Y/N) to her business.
...
Arms wrapped around Spain's shoulders, and he looked up into the bright (E/C) eyes of (Y/N). She jumped over the couch, and plonked next to Spain. "I'm a gaming god now." She announced, grinning at the gold words on the shirt. "I'm sure you are." Spain said, ruffling (Y/N)'s damp hair. "Now, movies or games?" "Moviesssss.." (Y/N) dragged out. Spain shrugged, and opened Netflix.
While he was browsing for a good movie, Spain thought. 'Should I tell her? Yes, yes I should. But how?' He thought, eyes squinted. "Ay dude, you good?" (Y/N) asked, waving her hand in front of his face. "Huh? Oh, yes. Did you see a movie you wanted to watch?" (Y/N) nodded. "Suicide Squad." She said. Spain shrugged, and selected it.
The movie began, and Spain went to switch off the lights. (Y/N) pressed against Spain, staring intensely at the screen. Spain glanced down at her, and snaked his arms around her waist. (Y/N) tensed up slightly, but soon relaxed. They continued watching the movie, until Spain randomly said, "I love you (Y/N)." (Y/N) looked up at Spain. "Yeah, no shit, buddy. Everytime we hang out, you blush. It's pretty obvious you love me." She said.
After a moment of silence, (Y/N) spoke up again. "I love you too, though." She leaned up, and pecked Spain on the lips. Spain smiled, and lifted (Y/N) onto his lap, resting his chin on her head. "So you're my girlfriend now?" He asked, hopeful. "Yep, you big doofus." (Y/N) said. Spain grinned, before giving (Y/N) a kiss and focusing on the movie again.

An Unwavering Craftsman
Given the hereditary nature of classes, everyone expects Damien—the child of two high-tiered adventurers—to be granted a high-tier combat class of his own. Expectations are betrayed, however, when Damien finds himself instead saddled with a crafting class of the lowest possible tier: [Neophyte Tailor]. Left practically crippled compared to those with better classes, Damien wants to avoid becoming a pawn in the machinations of the nobility, desiring only to grind his level in peace while wondering why the usual rules of inheritance were broken. Was it his desire to excel by his own effort, rather than an unearned blessing from a god? Did the Five take offence at his opinions on the unfairness of hereditary classes? Or maybe it was something to do with the alien voice that intruded on his ceremony? A voice that offers great power, and freedom from the tyranny of the Five, but that never names its price. This story is litRPG-lite. While the class someone possesses controls most of their lives, people don't get dinged at for every level they gain, nor can they see their status without undergoing a special ritual. The MC has no romantic interest. Crafting is merely a way to game the system, and doesn't feature heavily in the story, aside from a few descriptions on how they're carrying out the system abuse. There is, on one unfortunate occasion, maths. The pace is quick. This was a participant in the Spring 2022 writathon. (i.e. it was posted as-written at high speed. I may give it another editing pass in the future.)

Ruins of Dalághast
I've been writing for as long as I can remember, but I'd always been torn between different projects. That's why I decided to dedicate myself to a pretty strict schedule of writing and editing a single chapter every month since the start of 2019. This is an ongoing, work in progress novel that follows a ragtag group of sellswords as they delve into a lost city on the edge of the known world in search of their fortunes. Within, though, they find much more than they ever expected and find themselves in a race against time to unravel a mystery centuries old.
