《Countryhuman x reader | Oneshots》|Just friends...?|

New Zealand, Australia, Canada and America slowly crept into (Y/N)'s room, who was lying on her back, mouth open and drooling slightly. Her (H/L), (H/C) hair was a tangled mess and her pajamas were twisted from a long night's sleep. The scene was a somewhat peaceful scene, except that it was going to ruined soon...
"Three..." Australia began. "Two.." Canada whispered. "One..." America finished off, before the four siblings started blasting Old Town Road and banging pots together. This startled poor (Y/N) awake, making her fall off the bed in a tangle of pajamas, pillows and blankets.
The siblings burst out laughing as the half asleep girl sat up and glared at the four. "I hate you guys." She grumbled, rubbing her eyes and getting up. "We love you too, (Y/N)." The siblings said in unison, grinning.
(Y/N) made a face, and shooed them out. Before New Zealand left, he caressed (Y/N)'s cheek, before strolling out the door. (Y/N) rolled her eyes playfully. "You big flirt, New Zealand." She said, before closing the door to make herself decent.
Australia nudged New Zealand, grinning. "Hitting on our roommate, ey?" He asked. "Yeah, why don't you just ask her out already, you two have been at it for months." Canada said, crossing his arms. "C'mon guys, we're just friends!" New Zealand exclaimed.
"Yeah, what he said." (Y/N) said, walking out her room and stretching. New Zealand couldn't help but stare at (Y/N). She was wearing a beautiful, spaghetti strap maxi dress, decorated with (F/C) roses. Her hair was done up in a simple ponytail, but she made it look good.
New Zealand's blue went purple, and (Y/N) grinned. "What? Too flawless for ya?" She joked, playfully punching his shoulder. "No no, you're perfect.. I mean, it's perfect?" New Zealand tripped over his words, making the three brothers and (Y/N) chuckle.

"You two needa stop flirting unless you're going to get together." America said, after everyone had stopped laughing. "We're just friends!" Both (Y/N) and New Zealand said in unison, before looking at each other with an accusing look.
"Uh huh, 'Just friends' my ass." Australia said, making a face. (Y/N) sighed. "Alright, can we just... push that topic away.. What are we going to do today?" She asked. "The forest?" New Zealand suggested, to which everyone agreed. "Alright, let's go!" She exclaimed. Canada and Australia ran down the stairs, America hot on their heels while (Y/N) and New Zealand just walked down.
"They act like five year olds." (Y/N) said. "So do you, missy." New Zealand said, flicking her nose gently. "Ay! Don't flick my nose!" She exclaimed, making the country chuckle. "Come on, my dear. My knucklehead brothers await us!" He exclaimed, picking (Y/N) up bridal style and running out of the house.
"NeW zEaLaNd PuT mE dOwN!" (Y/N) yelled, clinging on to his arm as he ran after his brothers, who were way ahead of them. "Not a chance, princess!" He exclaimed, laughing. "Holy God of all things furry and adorable, please let me live.." She mumbled to herself, her grip tightening on his arm as New Zealand finally caught up to the others.
"Hey, lovebirds~" Canada cooed, a sly grin on his face. "I swear to Gatorade, Canada. We. Are. Just. Friends." (Y/N) said, saying it slowly so Canada would understand. "Then why is he holding you like you two just go married?" America asked.
New Zealand and (Y/N) blinked at each other, before New Zealand put her down carefully. (Y/N) let go of his arm. "Never do that again, I thought I was going to die." (Y/N) said, making New Zealand cover a smile. "Come on, let's just enjoy the day."

Everyone had come back late from their time at the forest, meaning they were quiet tired. So naturally, three of the four brothers went to bed. Guess who stayed up? That's right, New Zealand, so he could keep (Y/N) company, since she wasn't at all tired.
(Y/N) was sitting on New Zealand's lap, since he insisted that she should. (Y/N) eventually gave in, and sat on his lap. The two were sitting in front of the fireplace, listening to the rain pouring outside.
"(Y/N)?" New Zealand asked, to be answered with a hum. "Are we really just friends?" He asked. (Y/N) looked up at him, to see an actual serious look on his face. "I'm... not sure.." (Y/N) responded.
It was quiet for some time as the two just looked at each other. The two slowly leaned in, their lips meeting in a gentle kiss. Australia, Canada and America watched from the top of the stairs. "We're just friends." Australia mumbled, imitating (Y/N)'s voice. Canada and America chuckled. "It was only a matter of time." Canada said, before turning around and going back to bed.

Stories Of Indlu
“… to grow, for opportunity, for adventure, to be free. Join the colony ship Nao Vittoria. Be the first to live amongst the stars.” It was obvious from the literature that the NextStar corporation wanted the young, the adventurous and the brilliant. So why were the super rich fighting over seats? Why were AI’s trying to stow away? Did this signify a premature end to human/AI civilisation? Why had some questions directed to NextStar been aggressively sidelined? Why did the colonist inflight entertainment trial produce fatalities? In fact, why colonists at all? Those and many other questions, however, boiled down to a single central question. Why was the world’s most advanced AI dumped with a hundred year babysitting job for 50 million people speeding towards an uninhabitable planet? It made such little sense. The only sure way to get answers, catch a ride on the Nao Vittoria and play the inflight entertainment game, Pax Domini. I joined, and this is my story. Well, I feature. OK, I’m more of a spectator. Actually, I’m completely irrelevant I was just there. I’m only the storyteller. But what a story to tell. --------- Hi All, Content will be published weekly usually Saturday and typical posts will be 25oo to 4ooo words per post. Though for some reason the Royal Road word count does not include the content of tables so some posts may not appear to meet this criteria. Currently I have written sufficient unedited content to keep this schedule for the next 12 months (half way through the first story arc). My current productivity would indicate that I can maintain this schedule for well into the second story arch. This also allows for the additional content that will be posed exclusively on Patreon (https://www.patreon.com/StoriesOfIndlu). This additional content follows minor characters, peripheral events, maps and other content that does not take away from the main story. I would love to accelerate the post schedule but to meet this I need the assistance of more beta readers than I currently have. So please let me know if you are interested. - Andy ©2022 Andy Leauter.
