《His Muffin》Mad at him

{Amaya Rose}
It's the day of the party and I am at my apartment, getting ready.
Ash, Quinn, Cassidy, and Brea are here with me and we are all rushing.
We are going to go to the party together and the guys are supposed to be there. Xavier is going to come there himself at around 9:30 and the party starts at 9:00 so it works out.
After doing my hair and makeup I pull on my dress; It was a basic white dress, it hugs my curves perfectly and I paired it with black heels along with black jewelry. I look hot.
Me and the girls go downstairs after everyone is ready and drive to the party. We reach at 9:10 and look around for the guys.
We walk over when we spot them, "Hey!" we all greet, hugging each other.
"You look hot," Caleb winks at me.
I smile, "thank you Lebby."
He scowls, "I told you not to call me that."
"Did you? Hmm, didn't notice," I laugh.
He grins, "I'm excited to meet the one and only Xavier Knight."
"Yeah, I'm excited for you guys to meet him," I genuinely am so happy with him and I know my friends would love him.
"He is scary," Blake pipes up, walking over with Bella.
I gasp, "he is not."
"Yes he is, funny though," he grins.
"When is he coming?" Bella asks. I look at the time; 9:50.
"He should be here soon. I'll ask one second," I excuse myself and go outside for some privacy.
I call him a few times but he doesn't pick up. Where is he?
I send him a quick text reminding him what time it was and went back in.
"Anything?" Blake asks. I shake my head. He'll be here soon he probably didn't realize the time.
Blake knows what happened the other day Because I ended up going with him and Ashley to get my dress, Ash asked why I didn't go with Xavier as I planned to and I told her everything.

It wasn't a big deal, it happens. People lose track of time once in a while. Was I sad about it? Yeah. Did I forget about it soon after? Yes.
Around 11 I start to realize that he may not come. My friends don't mention him again and we just have fun.
We all have work tomorrow so we were supposed to leave at 1:30 or 2:00.
I get a text from Xavier just before 12 and he tells me to call him.
I go outside and call him.
"Hey muffin," he picks up.
"Hi," I mumble. I am a little upset at him but he was probably working and didn't realize.
"I'm so sorry," he sighs.
"Why didn't you come?" I ask.
"Jen was on the other side of town and her car broke down again so we had to bring it back and give it in the shop again," he explains.
Now I am actually annoyed. It would've been better if he forgot but no, he was with Jennifer.
"And you couldn't send someone else?" I question.
"Well, yeah. She just sounded really stressed and I thought I would be back before 12 but when we got back, her friend called her and told her something happened and she needed to come urgently so that's what we are doing now," he clarifies.
"So, you came back and went again knowing I was waiting for you this entire time? You couldn't even send me a text before this to tell me you aren't coming?" I huff.
"I wanted to babe, but everything was going on and I know I can't make it back in time to meet your friends for even a bit so I wanted to tell you," he replies.
"If you didn't want to come you could've just said that," with that, I hang up.
I walk back in and shut off my phone completely when I see him call again.
Ash takes one look at my face and knows what happened.

She pulls me to the group, "we are staying here late and if you guys want to then you can."
Everyone cheers at her announcement and agree to stay late. I look at her with a grateful look and she just shakes her head.
"LET'S TAKE SHOTS," Brea screams out.
We go to the bar set up and line up shots, gulping them down and repeating a few more times.
The girls pull me to dance and the guys join soon after.
I don't know how long we party, but it's a while and I enjoy every second of it.
I feel like I'm overreacting about the whole Xavier situation but he knew this was important to me and still missed it for something that could easily be taken care of by someone else.
When I wake up the next day, I am in my apartment and everyone is around me; Ashley is cuddling with me, Brea, Cass, and Quinn on my bed, and I untangle myself from them and sit up to find Caleb, Dylan, Ivan, and Ethan cuddling on the floor.
I step over them and walk out of my room to find Bella and Blake on the couch, again cuddling.
I look over at the time; 2:43 PM. I missed the entire workday.
I get medicine and water for everyone and wake them up. After they all get up and take the medicine they slowly pile up in the living room while I make breakfast for everyone.
We all eat and talk. They soon leave and I clean up before going to my room to fully freshen up.
After I'm done taking a shower, I sit on my bed and spot my phone on my side table. I pick it up and turn it on. Oh god. Xavier texted and called so many times. I scroll through the messages.
'Baby pick up please.'
'I wanted to meet your friends I swear.'
'I thought I would be back in time. I was wrong.'
'Muffin, please. I should've sent someone else.'
'Amaya, love, answer me. Let's talk about it.'
I scroll a little more.
'I am on my way back.'
'Where are you? it's 4 in the morning.'
'You aren't at work. Just tell me if you are safe. Your phone is switched off.'
That was the last text.
I feel a lot better and he seems sorry. I call him and he picks up on the first ring.
"Amaya, Holy shit. Are you okay? Where are you?" he rushes.
"I'm okay. I am at my apartment," I mumble.
"I'm coming over," and then he hangs up.
Not even ten minutes later, there is a knock at my door.
I open the door and Xavier crashes into me, holding me in a tight hug.
"I was so worried," he breathes out.
I don't say anything and he pulls away when I don't hug back.
He takes my hands in his, "I'm so sorry Amaya. You're right, I should've told someone else to get Jen. I know how excited you were."
"You should've texted," I whisper.
"I know. I was in a rush but that's not an excuse," he nods.
"I was waiting," I murmur.
His face softens, "I know love, I'm sorry."
When I hesitate, he adds, "It won't happen again."
I nod hugging him. I guess I am overreacting a bit. He didn't mean to.
"I'm sorry. I was just counting on you to come and got upset when you didn't show up," I sigh.
"Don't apologize. It's my fault, not yours. I should've come when I told you I would," he tilts his head.
I nod and he smiles.
"How about I take you on a date? As an apology," he suggests.
"I'd love that," I accept.
