It's been a week since then and now im getting used to my life, i also accepted the fact that this is not a dream

As i was strolling around the market buying things for my daily needs i passed by the alley, it feels eerie but i shrugs it off. I was about to start to walk again when i felt someone tugging my clothes behind

I looked at the direction where my clothes being tugged then i saw a kid looking at me pitifully

"Did you get lost?" I ask softly to not frighten the child

He nods at me slowly and his eyes are now teary, i panicked so i hugged him not minding my things fell on the ground

I rubbed his back up and down continuously until he calmed down, i stood up while holding his hand

"Where can i send you at?"

His eyes widened and shook his head continuously while holding my hand tightly as if he's telling me not to let go

I looked at him confusedly so i asked again but he wont tell me, i sighed and we started to walk towards the town hall

I was about to leave him there but he won't let me go so i tried to remove his hands but he started to cry silently

My eyes widened and subconsciously hugs him and carried him "dont want to?"

He nods again and hides his face on my neck while sniffing. I sighed then fixed my things while carrying him

I started to walked then a few seconds i stopped again "do you want to go to my house?" I asked the kid but he didn't answered so i looked at him, he's leaning on my shoulder with closed eyes sleeping so peacefully

I didn't bothered him again and went to my house. I feel like im a kidnapper here. I chuckled lightly and went inside with him

I opened the door of my bedroom and laid him down on my bed without waking him up

I stared at him and saw a lot of bruises on his knee, feet and forearm arm as if he runs away from someone and getting tripped multiplely just to save his life

Then it hits me, this happened on the game, the servant/traitor who was about to take the cursed prince away to kill failed then someone takes care of the prince which is in front of me

I frowned not because of the story but because of the wounds, poor prince he's only 7 and he already encountered something like this

After i treated his wounds i started to prepare the foods and while i was cooking i felt someone is staring at me so i looked behind to see the prince hiding on the wall while peeking with sparkling eyes and drooling mouth

I chuckled and called him "prince, can you sit on the chair?"

He looks at me while nodding then walks towards the chair, since he's still a kid it is hard for him to climb up on the chair

I pursed my lips trying to hold back my laugh and decided to help him up, he sat quietly and waited patiently

I prepared the utensils in front of him and served him his foods

He was about to eat when i suddenly stops him, he looks at me as if the heaven falls apart

I smiled at him "let's pray first"

He looks at me with full of curiosity "what's that?" He asked innocently

I stiffed for a second. He doesn't know??

I explained it to him and he nods as if he understood it. Oh right, he's smart so i think he really understood it

After praying we started to eat then i noticed while we're eating the prince is removing the vegetables on his plate to another plate

"Eat it"

He looks at me with disgusted face "no i dont like grass" he pouted and move the other plate full of veges towards me so moved the plate again in front of him

"Ill send you tomorrow to the palace" i said bluntly making him flinched

He immediately put the veges back on his plate then eats it right away "i like veges it's delicious, who said it tastes like grass??" He said while munching the food

I chuckled and nods at him "good" i smiled then we continued to eat peacefully

After the dinner we went to the balcony and sat on the couch. I looked at him who's in front of me while fidgeting

"Can i seat on your lap?" He said hesitatingly, i looks at him then nodded

He smiled at me widely then get one of the books on the bookshelf. Im surprised he already knows what he wants

He excitedly sat on my lap and asked me to read the book. What?? There's a children's book here?? Is the old owner of this body also loves children's book?

My mind is still wondering when i felt a tap on my palm, i looks at the prince then looks at the book to start reading it

I was still in half of the story when he started to yawn, i leaned his head on my chest and caresses his hair while still reading the story

The story ended and the prince is also sleeping soundly, carried him leisurely towards the bedroom and laid him on my bed

He wiggled around so i placed the pillows beside him then he stopped wiggling

I sighed in relief and sat on the couch beside the bed while rethinking about the story again on the game

It feels like the story is changing, is it because of me? I sighed and looks at the prince, maybe ill really send him back to the palace but what if his father doesn't care about him? I feel anxious just by thinking about it

I sighed again then stood up to turn off the lights and since the moon outside is quite bright i can see the surroundings a bit

I laid on my bed beside the prince and feeling my eyes starting to fall then later the darkness already consumed me.
