As i was preparing our breakfast, the three of them (bunny, fox, axle) are waiting on the dining table

We heard a knock from the door and i was about to go towards it, the three of them rushed and opened the door

We saw a man, staring at the three with his usual stern face but his eyes hints a bewilderment

"Zach? How come you're here?? I thought you're busy with your work as a king?" I asked him as i walks towards them then lead them towards the dining area

He looks at me then hummed "i came here to check axle"

Sir?? You can just literally command a knight or servant for that

I looked at him with confused face but he averts his eyes then looks at axle who's waiting for the foor with his usual sparkling eyes and drooling face

I shrugs it off then prepared the foods on the table and serves them theirs since they're still a royalty even if they were being friendly with me

I sat down on my chair beside axle, it's my hobby now to feed him since he's so cute while munching down his foods

"Is it your pets?" Zach asks while looking at the bunny and fox while eating

"No, i aid them but they're not my pets since they are a wild animals. I also dont like to make them my pets so they can have their own freedom"

Zach hummed again as a response then we continued to eat

After the breakfast zach needs to go back to finish his works while us waited for him to leave secured

When we couldn't see him anymore i looked at axle who's also looking at me while grinning, oh i know that smile

"Papa! Let's go to the park!" I knew it, he waited for his father to leave so he can already play whole heartedly

I chuckled then nods at him as i were closing the house before we leave

After a few minutes we're now on the park, axle rushed towards the other kids. It's good that he's being friendly

I sat on the bench near them while watching axle playing with his new friends. He seems lonely at the palace so im glad he asked for something he truly enjoys

I heard a bell sounds then looks at the vendor, he's selling an icecream. Perfect! Im glad i bought money with me

I bought two large icecreams for us but when i turned around and look for axle, he's nowhere to be find

My heart skipped a bit then suddenly it was pounding so hard, i was getting nervous and panicking but i still can't find axle

My hand trembled then the icecream fell on the ground but i didn't mind it, i rushed towards the other kids he's playing with earlier then asked them

"I dont know, axle already left when i was about to invite him to play hide and seek with us" the kid said then suddenly run towards the other kids

My mind went blank and my hands are shaking continuously. It was my fault, we shouldn't go here at the first place but because of me....

While i was regretting i suddenly thought about the king. Right! Zach will surely help me to find axle, i dont care about the punishment i know it's my fault so i should stop dillydallying

I rushed towards the town to rent a carriage

"Sir, can you go to the palace? Im in a hurry please" i asked the coachman sincerely but he only looks at me

I thought he's going to take me down but he suddenly went to his place and yelled "what are you still staring at young man? I thought you're in a hurry"

My face brightened then went inside the carriage as we rushed towards the palaced

I gave him my pay then gave him my thanks, i run towards the gate but the knights stops me

"It's me, please i need to talk to zach, i mean his highness. I need to report something important to him" they recognized me then hesitated for a bit but they saw my worried face so they allowed me as they escort me towards the study room

It seems rude but i didn't knock and rushed towards the room, i opened it rapidly then went straight to the king

The knights was shocked then suddenly rushed towards me to held me back but zach stopped them and signals them to go back to their places

I heard the door closed and the footsteps faded

"Your highness!! Axle is missing, please help me. Im sorry i didn't noticed him leaving" i told him straight to the point, his usual stern face suddenly darkened. It makes me anxious but shook it off

As i was about to explain it to him when he suddenly cuts me off

"Let's go find axle first, and you, calm down. You can explain it to me after we found axle"

I nodded at him while pursing my lips with worried expression marks on my face

He sighed then gave me a glass of water beside him, while i was drinking he ordered the knights to scatter to find the missing prince unnoticeably to avoid rumors

Im so anxious that i decided to help them find the prince, i wondered around the places i knew where i can find him but i still cant see him

im now in a field full of trees and plants, panting so hard while sweating madly

I was about to break down when i heard a rustling sound behind the bush

I walks towards there cautiously, afraid to be attacked by someone or something. I positioned my self for defense before going in there

Then there he is, i saw axle leaning on the tree while playing with the animals and flowers besides him

I stared at him in a daze, i didn't realized my tears are already running through my cheeks

I squatted and gave a small hics while wiping my tears

I heard a footsteps rushing towards me then suddenly i felt an embrace from a small being

I looked up just to see axle with his teary eyes "papa, why are you crying?" He asked while trying to hold back his tears

I chuckled then shook my head "it's nothing, im glad you're safe. Next time dont do it again ok? Dont leave papa so suddenly, it'll make him sad"

"Axle made papa cry? Axle is bad, does papa still want axle? Axle wont do it again so please dont leave axle ok? Papa promise me" axle burst out in tears while hugging me

My worries has lessened, im glad axle is safe. I sighed in relief then nods at him while smiling reassuring him that i wont leave him be.
