Letting out a shaky breath, George looked at the bouquet of flowers in his hands. He was really having second thoughts. With his luck, he'd be rejected and left in the middle of the courtyard with everyone laughing at him.
Nope. There was no way on Earth he could do this.
"C'mon George, don't be a chicken! Go do it!" Fred teased, pushing his brother forward lightly.
George huffed, scolding his twin and mumbling something under his breath about payback. He walked across the courtyard over to where you stood talking to your friends. Standing behind you he tapped your shoulder, trying to get your attention. You spun around to face him, your Hufflepuff scarf bundled around your neck.
"Oh, hi George!" You said with a smile. Your friends giggled at you, poking you a little bit. You looked back at them as they walked away, rolling your eyes at them before giving the taller Gryffindor your full attention.
"Did you need something?" You asked softly, a kind smile on your face.
George opened his mouth to say something but not a word came out. Your smile faltered a bit, feeling the tension in the air growing. You looked around a bit, trying to find something to start the conversation. You noticed the flowers in his hand and looked back up at him with a smile.
"Flowers! Who are those for?"
George furrowed his eyebrows, confused at what you were talking about.
"Flowers? What flowers?" He asked before looking down to see the flowers in his hands. "Oh, these!" He quickly said, his cheeks turning red.

"They're for..." He mumbled, trying to think of what to say. "For my mum! Yeah, they're for my mum!" He said, putting on a fake smile.
Raising an eyebrow in confusion, you crossed your arms.
"They're for your mum, hmm?" You repeated, a little bit suspicious. "But your mum isn't here. She's at home. And the owls couldn't deliver flowers, they'd fall apart."
George's cheeks deepened in color at your words, opening and closing his mouth like a fish out of water while he thought.
"Oh, yeah right! I knew that! Just wanted to make sure you did!" He rushed out, feeling the heat all the way up to the tip of his ears.
Even more confusion spread on your face as George hid the flowers behind his back.
"Are you feeling alright George? You look a little flushed." You mumbled, reaching a hand up to rest against his forehead.
As soon as your hand made contact with his skin, George thought he was going to pass out.
"N-no! I-I'm fine!" He stammered, glancing around for a way out of this situation.
Retracting your hand you gave him an unsure look, not fully believing him.
"Promise? I can take you to Madam Pomfrey if you want." You offered.
George shook his head, running a hand through his hair. "I, uh, have to go! Yeah, I have to go! Gotta study for a potions exam!" He said quickly said before taking off.
"But we don't have a potions exam..." You mumbled, watching as he ran off.
Once George made it back to his friends he let out a groan, laying his head against a nearby wall and hitting it a few times.
"I'm an idiot..." He mumbled, frowning when Angelina stopped him from hitting his head again.

"No, you're not an idiot, George. You're a guy very much in love."She said with a reassuring smile.
"Same difference." He groaned, sliding down the wall to sit on the floor.
Fred rolled his eyes before kneeling down to his brother's level and placing a hand on his shoulder.
"Yes that was horrendous and hard to watch but you aren't an idiot." He said, smiling when George scowled up at him.
"You just need to stay calm. Just say, 'Y/N, will you go out with me?' See! It's simple!" Angelina said.
George rolled his eyes as his head fell into his hands.
"I'm doomed!" He groaned.
"Excuse me, can I speak to George for a moment?" You suddenly said, the group not knowing that you had been standing behind them.
Fred grinned and took Angelina's hand in his. "Of course, have fun." He winked at you before walking off, leaving the two of you alone.
You slid down the wall to sit beside him, glancing at him as he sat unmoving.
"How much of that did you hear?" He mumbled against his hands.
"Enough."
George groaned once more, his head still buried in his hands.
"Georgie?" You said softly. "Can you look at me?"
George slowly lifted his head but kept his eyes down, not daring to meet your eyes.
You reached over and gently put your fingers under his chin, turning his head towards yours. When the two of you finally made eye contact you couldn't help but smile.
"Do you have something to ask me?"
George bit his lip before taking a deep breath.
"Y/Nwillyougooutwithme?" He asked quickly, squeezing his eyes shut.
You let out a giggle, George's heart fluttering at the sound as his eyes opened to meet yours once more.
"What was that?" You asked teasingly.
George groaned, annoyance evident on his face. "I'm not saying it again Y/N. Take it or leave it."
You smiled and cupped his cheek with your hand.
"I'm just messing with you, Georgie. Yes, I'll go out with you." You said softly, running your thumb over his cheekbone.
George's eyes widened and he threw his arms around you in a hug, accidentally pushing the both of you to the ground.
You couldn't help but laugh, wrapping your arms around him as well.
"About time, Georgie. Been waiting for three years!"
George pulled his head out of the crook of your neck to look at you.
"You're kidding, right?"
You shook your head with a smile. George groaned for the umpteenth time, letting his head fall back into your neck.
With a laugh, you tightened your arms around him as the two of you continued to lay on the ground without a care in the world.
Yes, this was nice.

Stranger than Fiction (Draft Edition)
Rewrite -> https://www.royalroad.com/fiction/55140/stranger-than-fiction 150k words of rewritten and new content, updating 3 times a day. Faith is like ice-cream. It comes in all flavors. Greek, Norse, Sumerian, Christian— just name it and it's there. Adventures, on the other hand, are like credit cards. The first taste is free, but the price only goes up from there. Family heirlooms, now those are true evil. You get burdened with them for sentimental reasons even if they’re icky. For Lukas Aguilar, it was a pendant. A small, weird metal nib with absolutely no vampiric tendencies. All he wanted was to finish the job at hand, and get on that book he had been postponing for a while now. Instead he got served with an apocalypse for breakfast, a cave full of eldritch monsters for the company and the whims of a ruined goddess for his To-Do list. Really, a simple NO from the universe would have sufficed. Acknowledgments Editor-in-Chief: Solo Starfish Artwork: Exodus

Dragon Knight Prophecy
A hero, a dragon, and a love that breaks all bounds. A fantasy story of a man trying to save his homeland from a terrible war by completing a prophecy nobody fully understands. To complete his mission he needs a dragon but the road to the dragon’s lair goes horribly wrong, and when he finally faces the beast he stands alone. A deeply emotional story that deals with pain, regret, betrayal, and failure. Despite it all somehow our heroes discover they need each other and slowly come together. With the help of some dedicated friends they realize their love is special, and go on to forge a new world befitting their unusual union. If you like dragons, romance, a little magic and a lot of war this might be for you. This story eventually evolves into a very loving harem, where the women rely on and love one another just as much as they love our hero. Please note: I am an amateur writer who started this story as a form of therapy while my wife was teetering on the brink of death. Thankfully she survived but by that point I was so committed to telling this story I couldn’t stop. I learned a great deal about writing over time but I am afraid my early chapters were very rough. I have since gone back and begun to edit them, applying the lessons learned and cleaning them up. I hope you will still enjoy the story, as I love sharing it and I can’t imagine a better use of my time. Sexual content.. In seven books I have written two sex scenes, but one of them will be highly edited once I reach them with my rewrite. Overall I imply our characters are sharing their love but don't go into any great detail as to how. So if sexual content bothers you, it is only lightly touched on twice. Crimson Gloom
Crimson Gloom. The time when the moon turns crimson, illuminating the landscape with its crimson glow. The time when the ‘doors’ to the Crimson Abyss open. One shall gaze into the abyss and gain its secrets and powers. Concurrently, the abyss also gazes into oneself, gaining one’s sanity and humanity. Dimensional rifts appeared spontaneously on Earth, bringing otherworldly demons along with the Crimson Gloom. Bloody battles were fought, noble sacrifices were made. Humans eventually sealed the rifts and successfully defended their homeworld. Alas, the seals were not perfect. The Crimson Abyss continued to exist, slowly influencing Earth and its inhabitants. Half a century of relatively uneventful years passed… humanity slowly descended into corruption, and the majority of them knew nothing of the effects of the Crimson Abyss. Is there only the dreadful gloom left to the world? Can one find brightness in the increasingly gloomy world? The youth who had gazed into the Crimson Abyss had no answer, nor did he care. He only wanted the Crimson Gloom to end, to forever seal the Crimson Abyss. A mistake and a twist of fate led the youth into a seemingly totally different direction. Will he forget his lifelong goal? Will he instead step back onto his initial path that he fervently pursued? Disclaimer: I do not own the image on the cover. Image edited on canva.com. This piece of work, after all, is only a first draft and by no means an end product by an amateur (beginner) writer. Mistakes are bound to happen. With that said, I will strive to improve as I write. Feel free to point out errors and inconsistencies as you read. I thank you for your time. Finally, I pledge to not rewrite this novel until the first draft is completed.
