You shook your head. You were hungry, but didn't want to eat.. "no thank you, sir." You said. "Are you sure? You look abit skinny." You should look at yourself... "yeah, I'm good.." you said. You slid the photo out of your pocket and onto the table.
He fiddled his fingers on the table, then saw your photo. "W-what's this?" He questioned you as he pointed out on long finger to the photo. He pressed his finger against it and slid it towards him. "Oh.. Uhm.. t-that is my family." You said, looking down. "Ah, you have a wonderful, well organized looking family." He said, looking at you. "Thank you.. they are gone, though.." you didn't see salad fingers reaction.
"Oh," He said. "I'm very s-sorry, (y/N).. I-" "it's okay." Everything went quiet. "W-what about your pa?" He questioned you. "I-" you started. "He went to the Great War." He said. You had not realize it, but he was right. "Wait.. you right!" You said, looking up at him. "Has he visited you yet?" He asked you. "They can do that?" You quickly replied. "Well, yes, but unfortunately most blokes can't make it back up to visit, due to War." He replied. "But my great brother did afew Months ago. We shared story's."
"That's.. radical." You replied to him. You completely doubted your Dad could and would be visit. He wouldn't know where you were, and the chances of your farther being one of few men to be able to visit was rock bottom. "Wait.." you said, thinking. "Aren't you a guy? I mean-" that was a mistake. You assumed salad was a male, yet you had no proof. "Well, yes." He replied.

You made silent sigh in relief. "Then.. if I may ask.. why aren't you in the war?" You questioned him. "Oh, Uhm... well, uhhhhhhmm.." he looked.. confused? "I.. oh yeah!" He said. "Uhm.." you mumbled. He pulled up his shirt, revealing a rather huge scar across his side. "My gosh, how, what?" You didn't know what to say. "I.. I think.. I got sliced by a.. Uhm.. Knife..?" He said. "A knife? Did that?" You questioned. "Oh my, that had to have hurt!" You shouted.
"I believe so?" He replied. "So it happened right as all boys went off to fight war?" You questioned. This must have been the case. "Uhm.. indeed?" He replied. He didn't seem sure.. but you stuck with his answers. "Did, or do you want to fight in the war?"
"Oh, I'd love too!" He said. You both grew silent once more..
"Now, would you like to hit the haystack?" He questioned, getting up. You nodded. You slipped the photo in your pocket, and walked out of the dinning room.
You went over to the chair and laid down, wrapping the blanket around yourself. "The greatest night to you, chap." Salad Fingers said, passing you. "You too." You replied. He went out of the living room, and you sat still. You stared at the radio, and sighed. You couldn't help but think about the other day.. and all this together.. Like when the finger puppet spoke! That couldn't have been real... it couldn't have...
You lifted up your hand. The bite was basically gone, as it has healed almost all the way. You closed your eyes and went to sleep.

That’s why game masters like Jeff Driscoll have jobs. The downside? He’s not allowed to play the game. Something about conflicts of interest and favoritism. His very boring and tedious job is to help players deal with the occasional bug that slips through the cracks and ensure they enjoy their time playing enough to give a five-star rating. It’s a gig that pays the bills. However, when the A.I.s unexpectedly issue a rogue patch, the game becomes a buggy mess, and Jeff's role radically changes. He finds himself as the only game master around, dealing with more problems than he can handle. It’s up to Jeff to return Infinite Worlds to normalcy...but will the A.I.s let him?

The Fate of The Summoned (being ReWritten)
The Fate of The Summoned In the world of Aethion things are vastly different than on Earth. There is Magic and Monsters, as well as Demons and Dragons. Throughout the history of the world there have been many wars, both between all the various nations and kingdoms and between those nations and kingdoms and the Demonic forces lead by a Demon King or Lord. There are times that the Demons gain so much more power than the other nations, or that the others are embroiled in a war against each other and the lone nation is targeted by the demons. It was during these occasions that the various Gods and Goddesses started giving two things to the races. The First of these things were the Blessings, magical blessings given to the worth for chosen things. The Second of these things were the Summoning rituals, magic rituals that could summon beings from somewhere else, that would be Chosen, by the gods. These beings have almost always come from our world, Earth. It has been centuries since this practice began and the countries of the world have almost always flourished for a time after a Chosen or group of them were Summoned. All of the countries treat the Summoned well, almost like kings or princes in their own right. Well, not all countries, there are some that have treated them almost like slaves, though those countries don’t usually last long. There is one though, that has lasted, for a long time due to their connection to their Patron Deity, the Goddess of Light. They only accept certain types of Summoned and they dote on certain members of the country more than others. Several years ago they performed a summoning, as they were being plagued by overflow from the dungeons. Now they, like the other countries of Aethion, have performed the ritual to fight against the current Demon King, who is said to possess a Blessing. This is a story about Fate, and those that fight against it and those who accept it. In this story the main character(s) do not fight their fate, like those in my other story, rather they embrace it and let it shape them, though that does not mean they are total slaves to it. While there will be similarities to most other Hero sumoning novels, i hope the Mcs abilities and such will make it unique.
