《Control [Carlisle Cullen]》0.9

"They're back!" Alice called from the sitting room, and Eleanor pushed herself off of the wall. Edward and Bella had gone hunting, and it was taking a lot longer than Eleanor would've thought. She was excited to see Bella again.
Eleanor walked over to stand between Alice and Esme, and smiled when she saw Bella speaking with Jake. She looked so healthy and happy. It was a huge difference from just a few days ago.
The group of them turned to the house, and Eleanor rushed away from the window to stand nearest to the door. A grin spread across her her lips when she heard it open, and suddenly she pulled Bella into a hug.
"I'm so freaking happy you're alive!" Eleanor laughed, and let go of Bella.
"Tell me about it," Bella joked. Eleanor gave her one more quick squeeze, before letting her walk into the room.
Esme hugged her next, "welcome to the family."
"You look great, Bella!" Alice complemented.
"Someone's been waiting to meet you," Carlisle told her, "Rose."
The blonde turned to Bella, and held out her arms so she could see Renesmee. Bella gasped, and took her baby out of Rose's arms. Eleanor watched as Jacob tensed up and smirked at him. He was totally going to get his butt kicked.
"Beautiful," Bella breathed as she admired her child. Nessie reached up and laid a small hand on Bella's cheek. Bella's jaw dropped and she looked up at Edward, "what was that?"
"She showed you the first memory she has of you," he said.
"She showed me? How?"
"How do I hear thoughts? How does Alice see the future, or how does Eleanor do the things she can?" Edward questioned, "she's gifted."
"I've only been out for two days?" Bella asked, looking around the room.
"Her growth rate is unprecedented," Carlisle explained to the newborn.
"Alright," Jacob stepped forward and reached out for Nessie, "that's enough experimenting for one day."
"Jacob," Edward shook his head, "she's doing great."
"Yeah," he agreed, "let's not push it though."
"What's your problem?" Bella growled, pulling Renesmee closer to her chest.

Eleanor turned to Carlisle and let out a low whistle. His grip on Eleanor's hand tightened. Rosalie and Eleanor smirked at each other.
"Oh," the blonde vampire rested her hand on Jacob's shoulder, "do tell her, Jacob."
"This should be good," Emmett grinned, wringing his hands together.
"Just a second," Edward pulled Renesmee away from Bella, "go ahead."
Eleanor bit her lip to keep herself from laughing. She stared at Jacob with an expectant look.
"Bella, look..." he started, and rubbed his hands on his jeans, "it's a wolf thing."
"What's a wolf thing?" Bella asked, although Eleanor had a feeling she already knew.
"You know we have no control over it," he said, "we can't choose who it happens with and it doesn't mean what you think, Bella. I promise."
"Take Renesmee out of the room," Bella instructed. Edward moved up to Bella's side, "Edward, don't touch me, I don't want to hurt you."
"Oh," Jacob closed his eyes, and Eleanor clasped a hand over her mouth. Her face was turning a slight red from trying to hold back her laughter.
Bella reached up to grab Jacob's ear, and then proceeded to drag him out of the house. She made it to the front porch, and Eleanor watched as she threw Jacob down the steps, "you imprinted on my daughter!"
"It wasn't my choice!" He scurried to his feet, and held his hands up.
"She's a baby!" Bella yelled.
"It's not like that!" Jacob exclaimed, "do you think Edward would let me live if it was?"
"I'm still debating it," Edward mumbled, and Eleanor shot him a glare. He turned his attention back to his wife.
"I've held her once," Bella began to walk down the stairs, "one time, Jacob, and already you think you have some kind of moronic wolfy claim on her? She's mine!"
Bella then proceeded to punch Jacob in the stomach, which sent him flying back into a tree. Eleanor gasped, and gripped Carlisle's arm as she watched Jacob land on the ground, harshly.
Leah and Seth came running down a path in their wolf forms, and Leah growled at Bella for abusing her alpha, "it's fine, Leah."

"You're going to stay away from her," the newborn demanded.
"You know I can't do that," Jacob sighed. Bella growled and sent another blow to his waist. The shapeshifter landed on his back with a cough.
"Edward stop her!" Esme insisted, but Edward shook his head.
"He said it's fine. She's amazing right?" He boasted.
Eleanor sent him another look, and waved her fingers in his direction. His eyes turned a deep red, briefly, and then back to their golden colour. He sent Eleanor a startled look, to which she only smirked at.
"Do you remember how much you wanted to be around me three days ago?" Jacob asked, backing away, "that's gone now right?"
"Long gone."
"Because it was her. From the beginning it's been Nessie who wanted me there," Jacob said.
"Oh no," Eleanor whispered, and closed her eyes to wait for Bella's outburst.
"Nessie?! You nicknamed my daughter after the Loch Ness Monster!" She went to attack Jacob again, but Seth quickly jumped in front of the alpha. Bella sent him flying back into the tree, and Eleanor winced at the whimpers leaving his mouth.
"Sorry Seth," Bella mumbled, as the boy crouched away from her.
Eleanor left Carlisle's side and rushed down to the teen. He nuzzled her palm, and let Eleanor run her hand over his head, "you'll be okay, Seth."
She made herself comfortable next to him, and then focused on the two again.
"Bella, you know me better than anyone. All I want is for Ness..." he stopped himself at Bella's cold stare, "Renesmee to be safe. Look, nothing ever made sense before. Me, you, him, any of it. And now I understand why. Because of her."
Later that night, Eleanor sat on the couch with Jacob. Her head rested on his shoulder and her knees were pulled under her as the two teens attempted to catch up on their sleep.
It was weird for her to lay with someone besides Carlisle. However, the young witch was freezing and no blanket seemed to help her, so she turned to the human heater for warmth. He was perfect - she hadn't been so warm in a long time.
The house was silent. No sound emerged from any of the vampires in the room, and Carlisle was the only one focusing on Eleanor's soft breathing. He had always liked listening to her breathe, it was comforting to him.
The front door was opened softly, causing Eleanor to shift in her seat. Her head lifted from Jacob's shoulder for a single moment, before falling back towards it. Rosalie quietly walked in the sitting room, being the first one to return from the hunt.
Carlisle, Bella and Edward had hunted earlier, while the rest worked on finishing the small cottage for the newly weds. But now the remaining members had returned, and the house awoke once more.
Well, except for the two humans.
"My turn!" Rosalie whispered, and held her arms out to grab Renesmee. Bella smiled down at her newborn for a moment, and then handed her to her auntie. Rose cooed at her niece with a grin on her face, and Nessie giggled at the blonde.
The door opened once more, and loud footsteps and voices filled the air. Eleanor's eyes gently fluttered open at the new noise, and she looked over at the vampires with a dirty look. She hated having her naps interrupted.
She watched Alice skip in front of Bella, and hold out a key ring, "happy birthday!"
Bella shot Alice a funny look, "I stopped aging three days ago."
"That's what I tried telling her," Eleanor croaked, and began to stand from the sofa, "but we're celebrating anyway-"
"So suck it up. Both of you," Alice teased.
Eleanor only chuckled and moved to envelope Carlisle into a hug. She nuzzled her head into his chest, and let out a content sigh. He leaned down to kiss the top of her head, "how was your nap?"
"Not long enough," she mumbled, and pulled away. Her blue eyes met his topaz ones, "can I go sleep in your room?"
"You don't have to ask," Carlisle told her with a laugh, "go ahead."
She pursed her lips, and peered at him through her lashes, "will you come with me?"
He smiled wider, and nodded his head, "of course, Ellie."
