《My Vampire (Book Three)》Chapter 8

"Can you help me?" Her accent sounds different now, more thicker, more sweeter as if she genuinely doesn't know what's going on.
"Where is Merriam? Where is my family?" Her eyes begin turning red with blood and a small drop streaks down her cheek. She goes to wipe it and gasps as she looks at her hand.
"What's happening to me??Please help me!" She cries. I have no idea what to do. Did my blood do this to her?
She groans again and holds her head. "Desi stop!" She screams. She keeps saying that name.
She's sobbing now and wraps her arms around herself protectively. "He raped me. He killed them..." she starts mumbling repeatedly.
"What?" I ask trying to look at her closer. Has she gone completely crazy?
She groans again and holds her head and starts grunting in pain. She stops after a minute and looks at the ceiling again and then back at me, that innocent look in her eyes fades and they flash a bright blue at me as her face turns into a scowl.
"What are you looking at wolf?" She snaps at me.
"A blood covered vampire. What the hell happened to you? You kept crying about your family and some guy named Desi." I snap at her and her eyes looked confused.
She wipes away the extra blood around her eyes and shakes her head,"It was your blood. Those were your memories not mine." She says but it doesn't sound like she believes herself.
"Then who is Desi?" I ask knowing very well I've never met someone named that.
"Only I call him that. His name is Desiderius." She snaps at me and there's a pained look in her eyes when she says his name.
"He's my maker. He saved my life and gave me this new one." She says closing her eyes like she's reliving it.
"Saved you from what? You said he raped you." With those words I earn a hiss from her and she flashes her fangs.
"He would never do that! He loves me!" She screams and her eyes get that far away look in them again,"I don't remember what he saved me from..it was a long time ago. But he saved me and I owe him my life." She says and I roll my eyes. This guy is probably just some jerk using her and she's too dumb to see it.

"Whatever. You shouldn't drink from me anymore if you're just gonna freak out like that." I say and she shakes her head.
"I can handle it. They're not my memories it doesn't matter. Just...let me rest" she says and stumbles to her feet and slowly collapses on her cot.
I roll my eyes at her and go back to my own cot, the pain in my wrist is gone and my wound has already healed. I lay my head down and start thinking about my mom, what she must be thinking. She must hate me, I wonder if Crystal is worried about me and Mark, I wonder what he must be doing to try and find me. I can't die here. I have to go back and apologize. My heart aches when I think about my mother having to bury Aaron and Kevin alone.
I fall asleep eventually but my thoughts still linger on all the wrong that I've done.
They made no sound at all when they came in, I only woke up to her screaming. I sit up and look over to see that she's fallen out of her cot and is now shaking on the ground, their shocking her again. The brothers come in again with that pole and another syringe. The pole is placed over her neck again and she flashes her fangs at them while she's still shaking, I can hear the sizzle of the silver as it touches her skin and I look away when they stab her with the needle. Jesus these men are barbaric. I look back and see that she's stopped shaking, she's stopped moving at all really. They move the pole away and calmly leave the cell and close the gate.
She's still not moving, she's starting to whisper something and I see blood coming from her mouth.
"Paralyzed just like the others." Jeremiah says looking dissapointed but his eyes light up the moment she grunts and sits up.
"Is that the best you fucks can do?" She flashes her fangs at them and hisses. That earns her another shock from the collar.
"Pretty soon we won't be needing that pole anymore. Your abilities are fading." He says and she doesn't say anything back.
"Get the other needle" he says and one of the brothers does as he says and hands it to him.

"You have no speed. No strength. You're practically human already." He laughs and her cell opens again, this time he goes in alone with no pole. She makes a small grunt noise as he injects the needle into her neck. His eyes linger on her for a moment and he gently touches her cheek, the movement makes me feel uneasy.
"What are you lookin at boy?" He snaps at me but I don't look away. His fingers drag from her cheek towards her neck and along her collarbone, something about him touching her made me wolf uneasy.
"You'll be real pretty once your human." He says and a shiver runs through her body.
"Close it up." He announces as he leaves her cell and the gates close behind him.
"She'll be unresponsive for the rest of the day. We'll try again tomorrow." He says and they all leave the room again and she stays in that same spot.
"Hey! Get up!" I yell at her, but she has that blank expression at the ceiling. I don't even know her name.
Finally I see her hand twitch and she turns her head to look at me. It looks like she's holding back tears.
"Do you think there's a hell?" She says and I'm unsure on what to say. I want to feel bad for her, but she's the monster who killed my brothers. Maybe this is punishment enough for her...
"I need blood. Please. It'll help me please." She says and tries crawling towards me.
"Have you really lost all your abilities?" I ask and I hear her growl and in a blink of an eye she's at the bars between us and holds onto one not caring about the sizzling pain in her hand.
"I will not be broken. You don't live for as long as I have to have these fucks think they have control over me." She snarls and finally lets go of the bars.
She eyes my hand and I put it through the bars as she puts her hand through the bars,"Exactly how old are you then?" I ask and flinch when she bites into my wrist. She has more control this time and barely drinks for a minute. She groans when she lifts her head up, those memories are trying to come back to her.
"Almost 400 years." She says gritting her teeth and closing her eyes.
"Merriam I'm sorry." She sobs and I see her body shaking.
"Hey! Look at me! You said those memories aren't real. Come on. Just focus on me." I say.
She lifts her head back up and her eyes are a bright blue and she has her fangs sticking out. She starts calming down and that blue color fades and her fangs retract.
"What's your name wolf?" She asks sounding like herself again.
"Isaac. What's yours?" I say hoping the change of subject will be good for her.
"Ada....or would you prefer Crystal?" She smiles at me and I growl loudly.
"Your blood really did give me a little extra this time. Who is she? Your mate? Your mind is swimming with all kinds of thoughts with her." She smiles and I want to smack that smile coming from her face.
"Shut the fuck up. She's not mate. You can forget about this now. Go ahead and starve." I snap at her and she giggles.
I get up and sit on my cot as she stays sitting on the floor staring at me.
"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to make fun of you. Isaac please forgive me." She says and I scoff at her.
"You think I don't know what it feels like to love someone who will never return those feelings." She says and she has that pained look in her eyes again.
"Isaac please. Don't make me your enemy. I'm a vampire. I don't have a soul I forget to feel empathy towards people and take their feelings into account." I look at her and see her nose is bleeding. She notices it as well and wipes it away.
"If there is hell. Then I'm living it." She says and goes back to her cot to lay down.
She won't get my sympathy, I'll never forgive her for what she's done.

Grimm Tales: A RWBY Story
Two years after losing everything, two sisters will try to rebuild the lives they one had, as well as mend the heartache left behind through their connection with the many strange cast of characters they meet, and the many strange story's they're caught up in. Grimm Tales is a RWBY fan fiction I wrote and illustrated from 2014 through 2016. Keep that in mind when experiencing the story and the art within it. Also keep in mind that this story is technically unfinished. I put this aside in October of 2016 after completing what you can call the "first season" of what was going to be a multipart series. Even though the entire story remains unfinished, things do end in a somewhat satisfactory manner.

System Only Gives Me Useless Gifts
Li Yun grew up with a system that gave him useless gifts. He wanted a reward that could prove the existence of the system, but ended up with abstract gifts like culture. Without physical proof, he was stuck wondering whether his mind was truly sane, all the while dealing with the reality of life. How will the "useless" system help Li Yun navigate medical school, hospital politics, criminal cases, treasure hunting, farming and cooking? Author's Note: This is a slice-of-life novel about a doctor with a mission-type system. It's written as a faux modern Chinese novel, so there are many 1-off characters and episodic mini arcs. Just a bit of warning, the tone of the story is very different after the childhood arc and jumpy as it chronicles Li Yun's life. I'm trying to make it less apparent in the rewrite, but there are still a lot of time skips. RR is the rewrite version, no set schedule. See webnovel for OG. scribblehub is a combo of both . I recommend scribblehub since it has pictures. Copyrights of the novel and cover are owned by Chocomug. Novel is free to read and download for personal use, such as offline reading, only.
