《Destined》Telling Everybody

I feel different. I can't really explain the feeling, maybe it's just because I was unconscious and I'm slowly coming back or maybe it is something else.
I am suddenly aware that I am not alone, where ever I am, but no one has noticed that I am gaining consciousness as they continue to talk.
"You're sure the necklace was hot? There are no burn marks on her skin?" an unfamiliar voice asked.
"Are you calling me a liar?" a voice growled, stirring my wolf a little.
"N-No, Alpha. It's just tha -"
"Calm down please, Reed. Maybe it was just the shock of your mark?" a third voice reasoned.
"Look there is something about that necklace. I couldn't get it off her and I saw her shift and it didn't break off. And then in the cells, something came over her and I was forced to my knees in submission."
"Impossible. Not even an Alpha can submit unwillingly to another Alpha." I know recognize the third voice as my dad.
Something cold suddenly touched my skin, causing me to gasp and open my eyes in surprise. A man in a white coat pulls his hands quickly away from me as my father and Reed run to my side.
"Are you alright?" They both asked at the same time.
I nodded in response, looking around for some water. My father is quick to know what I want and grabbed a cup off a table handing it to me.
"Easy, you don't want to choke." The doctor chirped as he watched me chug almost the entire glass.
Reed growled lowly at the doctor but didn't say anything. His eyes, swirled with black, flickered between my eyes and the locket. I tried to avoid his intense stare and instead focused on what my dad was saying.
"Do you remember what happened, kiddo?" He asks as he sets the cup back where he found it.

I blink a few times as everything flashes though my mind. Unconsciously, my hand flies to my neck to Reed's mark.
"He marked me." I whispered, feeling the raised scar of his mark.
My father nods his head and looks to Reed for a moment. They seem to be having a silent conversation. If I didn't know better, I would say they are mindlinking. Since they are in different packs, I know they aren't.
"Doctor, can she leave now that she is awake?" My father asks, breaking away from whatever him and Reed were staring about.
"Yes." The doctor nods quickly.
Reed is quick to help me off the bed before my dad can. Rose purrs happily as his hands rest on my hips as he helps me steady myself. I slowly lift my gaze and bite my lip at how close I am to him. Our breathes are practically mixing. It takes me a second to comprehend that he is leaning his head towards me.
He is going to kiss us Rose purrs, pushing me to lean in as well.
Someone clears their throat and I jump at the sudden sound.
"I called a meeting with the Beta's and your mother to figure out what is happening." I can hear the smile in his voice.
He waited for that moment before he interrupted us. That sneaky son of a grandma.
I nod absently and step out of Reed's grasp, walking towards my dad. His smirk never wavering as he gives a little wave to Reed before walking with ms through the halls.
I can sense that Reed isn't far behind me and I find myself thinking about the dream and her warning. I want so badly to talk it over with my parents.
Since, I am already marked, I suppose I should tell them about the locket. Maybe I should have told my parents about it the minute I came back. Come to think of it, I don't know why I didn't. I know I can trust them and they deserve to know.

"HE MARKED HER!" I heard Jenna before I saw her.
"Baby, calm down, what are you talking about?" Ian tried to soothe her.
"I can smell it!" I thought she was mad, but I can hear the excitement in her voice.
Suddenly the office door slams open and Jenna rushes out. Her eyes land on me before zeroing in on the mark. A squeak escapes her lips before she begins bouncing up and down.
"My best friend is marked! This is great! Next we will be pregnant together!" She claps happily.
"No." my dad and uncle Jack say immediately while both Ian and Reed look like deer in headlights.
My mother chuckles from inside the office and hugs me tightly when we enter.
"Luna." Gage has a smile on his face as he bows his head slightly causing me to roll my eyes.
As soon as the office door had closed, the men began talking to each other. Theories and arguments keep breaking out about what could be happening to me, if Reed is telling the truth and what should be done with Jackson. My mom, Jenna and I all look at each other completely shocked at the sexism as they ignore our attempts to join the conversation.
None of them ask our opinions or even if I know what is going on. I mean I don't really, but I have a pretty big piece of the puzzle dangling from my neck.
They could just ask us. Rose huffs angrily.
I know right, considering the involves us directly.
Make them listen. Rose growls before pushing herself forward.
I don't fight it, willingly moving to the back of my mind. For a moment she stares directly at Reed as he argues with Gage and Ian. Even I have admit he looks extra delicious when he is concentrating so hard.
Did you really just say that? Rose laughs
Shut up and focus! I can't believe I said it either and if I had control, I would be blushing crimson.
A terrifying growl sends the room into complete silence. I don't realize that it came from Rose until I notice that everyone's head dropped in submission.
"Don't you think it is counterproductive not talking to the one person that this directly affects?!" Rose growls crossing my arms in front of my chest.
Slowly, they all looked up with wide eyes as they stare at me. No one says anything, and I stifle a laugh when I realize they all look like fish with their mouths agape.
"Do you know something, Rose?" My mother squeaks, finally finding her voice.
"We don't know why this is happening really, but we have a pretty good clue." She runs my hand along the necklace before continuing.
"We were told that this locket held a power that was for us and our mate to share. But that it wouldn't be given until we were marked and mated. We don't know what that power is exactly, but with Reed's marking us, it has begun to unlock." Before she had finished speaking, Reed was up and had a firm grip on my hand pulling me to the door.
"Gage, research the locket and it's history. We will meet up in a few hours to see what you've found." Reed commanded using his Alpha tone.
"Where are you two going?" Jenna pipped in as we reached the office door.
Reed looked at me briefly with a sly smirk, before winking in Jenna's direction.
"To see if there really is a power to unlock and share."

This is probably your cup of tea. Long term progression with a heavy slice of life element. Strong mix and inclusion of ancient Greek life, values, and myths. Hence, the world can be a bit more harsh and brutish than modern sensibilities. The system is tangible and knowable beyond the MC's insights. Up until this point, the only thing I have written of comparable length has been non-fiction and related to history. I am immensely grateful to all the folks who have given me feedback and helped me improve my writing.
