Y/N bit her lip.

Scarlett held Y/N's hand, "I will always be here for you, Y/N, and I know something is bothering you, I know you're in pain. And I am not asking you to tell everything right away but I promise you, whatever happens, I'm here. I'll always be here. I'll be your light, I'll be your eyes. I'll be your sun." She said.

Y/N lets the tears fall down, and she closes her eyes as Scarlett uses her other hand to wipe it all away. "Don't do this to me, Scar." She said.

"You don't have to do this all alone, Y/N. I'm here." Scarlett said, she places Y/N's hand against her chest again. "Can you feel this? Can you feel how fast my heart is beating?"

Y/N nodded her head. "I can feel you, Scarlett, and I'm scared that one day, I won't get to feel you anymore. I can't do that, I've been through so much. I can't handle another heartbreak."

"You won't have to go through that, Y/N. I'm here, I'll always be here for you, I promise you that. If you let me in, I swear to you, Y/N, you won't suffer. I can't promise you that you won't get hurt anymore because we both know that this is gonna be a long journey. What I can promise you is that you won't have to feel the pain alone, I'll be there to feel the pain with you. I'll be there to wipe your tears, I'll be there to always remind you that everything will be okay. Everything will eventually get better." Scarlett said, and gently kissed Y/N's hand. "I will stand by you, my moon."

Y/N sniffles, wiping her tears with her other hand. She squeezed Scarlett's hand, "Okay."

With just one word from Y/N, Scarlett's heart beamed with happiness. She doesn't need a long speech from Y/N, a simple okay means so much already because it means that Y/N will let her in. "Can I hug you?" She asked.

"Please." Y/N said, her voice breaking. The last person that she hugged other than Olivia was her dad, and that was two years ago.

Scarlett gently wrapped her arms around Y/N, pulling her closer and hugging her.

And just like that, Y/N completely broke down. She sobbed and her tears keeps on falling, she hold onto Scarlett, gripping on her shirt. All her silent battles were unleashed, all her pain and memories came crashing and they keep trying to tear her down. All of the traumas came back and haunted her. She can feel that she'll fall into a panic attack; she can feel the aching in her heart and the shortness of her breath.

Scarlett immediately pulled away from the hug and held both of Y/N's hands. She brought them to her lips, "Hey, hey, hey... just follow my breathing, love. In and out, deep breaths, love, in and out." She whispered while taking deep breaths, making sure that Y/N's hands can feel them.

Y/N tried her best to follow Scarlett's breathing, closing her eyes and focusing on Scarlett's breath on her hands. The warmth from Scarlett's hands is also helping. She took some deep and shaky breaths, trying to steady her breathing again. But it's hard. And she knows she needs to free her mind. This has been eating her alive for years. If she doesn't get this all out, she'll go insane.

"I-I," Y/N stuttered, "I was—"

"Just breathe, Y/N." Scarlett said, "You don't have to say anything." She added.

Y/N shook her head, "I want to, I need to. You have t-to promise me that once I tell you t-this, you won't leave me..."

"Hey, there's nothing in this world that can take me away from you. I told you, I'll stand by you. I'm here to stay, Y/N." Scarlett said, kissing Y/N's knuckles, she didn't let go of Y/N's hands, she rests them on her lap. "Talk to me, my moon." She whispered.

such a hard time, Y/N managed to tell everything. Speaking about it aloud feels like drowning. She couldn't breathe. Everything just hurts. She couldn't even say his name; she was too angry and traumatized to do so.

While listening, Scarlett couldn't help but cry with Y/N. Her heart hurts so badly. She's never felt like that, this intense pain that keeps on pounding against her chest. And she's mad. She's furious with that piece of shit of a man. She's never the type to promote or perform any violence, but for the first time in her life, she wants to physically hurt that guy. But she knows deep down, hurting him wouldn't wipe her heartache, her anger. Especially when she's seeing how much it's still hurting Y/N.

"I'm so sorry." Scarlett cried, hugging Y/N.

After that, Scarlett didn't say anything else. She didn't need to, the moment didn't need to. Y/N needs someone to hold her, to physically comfort her. She needs a hug. And Scarlett is giving her just that, and it makes her feel a bit better because she knows that Scarlett wouldn't leave her, Scarlett is true to her words, she's there to stay.
