"Stay here." Brenton says and I scoff.
"Not again. They already know I'm here." I argue.
"Stay. Here." He growls. "You can't fight! We talked about this! I need you safe so I can protect our pack. Staying here is how you can be a good Luna, A good mate, and a good little girl."
"Okay." I agree.
"Promise me."
"I promise I will stay far away from the boarder." I say and he kisses my head.
"Thank you."
I never said I'd stay in the house. I cany help it I'd go stir crazy!
I'm just gonna wait outside the door so I can see when they come back. I'm not interested in causing trouble but if something happens I can help with the injured or something. I can't just sit in my room.
"Come on, Brenton." I mumble to myself an hour later when he hasn't returned. The sun is coming up and I'm getting worried.
Finally I see someone walking down the street... more like running. I clean my goggles on my shirt because it doesn't look like the big werewolf warriors. It looks small. When I put them back on I can tell it's a girl and she looks like she is running for her life!
I run out to meet her and she is hyperventilating. I don't recognize her but she needs help so I pull her into the house.
Gilly POV
"That little mutt!" My father yells as he returns. "War! That is the only answer! I want my bat! Kill the dogs!" He pauses taking deep breaths. "Gilly girl, come."
"Yes, father." I say as I approach.
"Stay in the house my girl. I know you are a curious little thing but stay. I don't want to have to punish you." He says and I shiver. Father's punishments are scary. I still have scars on my back from them.

"I... I'll stay.. fa... father..." I stutter.
"Good girl. Now to exterminate these dogs... how about I bring you a paw as a good luck charm when I bring home my little trophy? Does that sound nice Gilly?" He asks and I try not to gag.
"Y.. yes father." I answer.
"Let's go boys! We have a war to wadge!" He yells and the house empties.
I hate my father.
He sees living beings as trophies. He kills people. He is a bad man. I wish I could just run away!
Wait.
He took everyone with him.
I could run away!
I don't bother to pack anything. It would only slow me down. I'm already small and slower than them I can't risk a bag. I kiss my favorite bunny on the head before hiding him under the floorboard.
"I'll lose you if I try to run with you but father never stays in one place long. I'll be back for you Floppers." I tell him and I swear he tells me to stay safe and he loves me. "I love you too."
With that I run.
I don't know where I'm going but I need to run.
I'm so tired. Father doesn't feed me much. He says he needs the blood for the men. I keep going but I am panicking. What if he catches me? I won't survive father's wrath.
I see a big house in the distance and try to make it there. Maybe someone will help me.
The next thing I know a girl is hugging me. She helps me into the house and sets me on the sofa.
"Breath... come on. You are safe now." She says and I try to breathe. When I calm some she smiles. "What's your name?"

"Gilly." I whisper.
"Nice to meet you Gilly, I'm Kenzie."
Landon POV
"Brent, they are retreating. Don't run after them." I stop my cousin.
"They were toying with us, Landy! We need them gone for good! They want my girl!" He yells.
"We know but you're no good to anyone if you run off half cocked and get yourself killed." Logan adds.
"You guys are right... thanks." He says.
"Come on Brent." Eddy says taking over.
Logan and I may be his cousins but Eddy is like his brother. We just follow back to the house. On approach I smell the most amazing scent and run ahead of them into the house.
I see our little Luna next to... next to my baby girl!
I sprint over to them and kneel in front of the girl.
"Hello, princess." I say moving her hair from her face.
"You...y..you're m...my." She stutters.
"Mate." I finish for her and she gasps. She starts to cry and shake and I pull her into my arms.
"Shush, baby girl. You're okay. I got you. Daddy's got you." I coo holding her head to my neck to calm her.
"Daddy." She whines and I look down at her face. "Daddy I hungry." I see little needle like fangs poking through her gums and I know what she is.
"Drink, baby girl." I tell her guiding her back to my neck and she reluctantly bites down.
"A vampire!" Brenton yells pulling Kenzie away from us.
It doesn't take long to fill my girl's little tummy.
"What's your name princess?" I ask her.
"Gilly." She whispers and I kiss her head.
"Beautiful."
"She's a vampire Landon!" Brenton yells and Gilly hides in my chest.
"She is a scared little girl... my little girl. She was alone with the Luna before we got here. If she was a threat we would have known." I tell him.
"She was running away. She was scared. We have to help her." Kenzie says and I smile.
"She is your responsibility, Landy. I don't want my people bitten." He says then smiles patting my shoulder. "Congratulations cousin."
