《His Light》chapter twelve

Micha's POV
"Can you believe him? I have never been more LIVID in my life, the nerve of that man to just show up after months and act like nothing's wrong. He is just agghh!!" I let out as I paced around in my room
"You need to calm down short one, don't blow a fuse now, besides I thought you didn't care about him anymore, why are you so mad?" Jacob said with a confused frown on his face, he looked worried almost.
"Because.. because I just am okay?! You weren't the one abandoned for no reason, I have every right to be as mad as I am."
"I'm just saying okay, don't come after me now. I know you actually liked him but you said you were over it. You are right?" His frown deepened, he looked at me almost as if he was trying to read my mind.
I stared at him not knowing what to say, I know he likes me and I was just starting to like him but I just can't help the way I feel about Jasper, there is just something that makes me feel a deep connection when I'm with him.
"Jakey...." I stretched out.
Sighing disappointedly he looked down at his shoes, I knew he felt hurt but I can't help what I feel, okay... Trust me I do want these feelings to go away, I just do not know how, I want to just say 'screw it' and be with Jake, I mean he makes me happy too and I know he'd never pull a Jasper, yes we're calling it that now.
He stood up from my bed about to walk out of my room, "I understand you want him, I know but I just.. I just thought," he trailed off letting out a deep sigh.

I grabbed his hand walking closer to him "I know Jake, I know," I looked him in his eyes a bit conflicted, "I like you too but I do still like him and him popping up like this is just very confusing, I don't want to be in this situation either but we're here now and walking away from it is not going to make it all okay."
He still looked away avoiding eye contact but moving his hand into mine and intertwining our fingers, I smiled a bit knowing we are still kind of okay, I really do care about him.
"Jake, look at me," he continued looking out the window, glaring softly, "Jakey... trust me okay, I won't entertain him, I'll stop talking about him completely."
He still looked out the window, his glare disappearing, "Promise me you won't end up going back to him. Promise me." He looked down into my eyes.
"I promise you, I won't." I really don't want to lose Jake, he has shown me that I can trust him, I can't lose him, I hugged him with a smile on my face.
Jasper's POV
"I promise you, I won't."
I looked up her bedroom window, feeling my dead heart shatter. She really doesn't want anything to do with me. I know I hurt her but I thought we would at least talk about it and work it out.
Jacob looked back at me, glaring, holding her like his life depends on it, I can't let him have her, I just can't, she is mine, Jacob will not have her. I need her to live, I shouldn't have left her, I was wrong for that yes but what makes him think he can have my soulmate, she belongs with me.

The Dungeon of Evolution
The greatest mage and researcher in the universe, Ian Irwin, known to only his closest friends died at far too young an age. For their own goals and to give the mage another chance at life, the Gods and Goddesses reincarnated him into a dungeon. Most would shudder at the thought, in fact Ian did, but not for the same reasons. The plants, animals, fungi, and monsters that inhabited dungeons fascinated Ian in a way nothing besides his wife had. Ian had studied everything he could about dungeons and now he could be one. Traumatising Content: Besides the purpose of dungeons, the presenting of evil morals as a positive is not present in this novel. Evil morals themselves, however, are present. Combined with the gore tag, there will be imagery present that could be considered traumatising. The absence of the sexual content tag means there will be no scenes of that nature. I, the author, apologize to any previous readers that, due to my previous clarification, read the story with the belief that scenes of disturbing imagery would not be present.

Rogue Dungeon: A LitRPG Adventure
From James A. Hunter, author of Viridian Gate Online and War God's Mantle! Check out my first attempt at a Dungeon litRPG Novel! Roark von Graf—hedge mage and lesser noble of Traisbin—is one of only a handful of Freedom fighters left, and he knows the Resistance’s days are numbered. Unless they do something drastic … But when a daring plan to unseat the Tyrant King goes awry, Roark finds himself on the run through an interdimensional portal, which strands him in a very unexpected location: an ultra-immersive, fantasy video game called Hearthworld. He can’t log out, his magic is on the fritz, and worst of all, he’s not even human. Now, he’s a low-class, run-of-the-mil Dungeon monster. Some disgusting, blue-skinned creature called a Troll. At least there’s one small silver lining—Roark managed the grab a powerful magic artifact on his way through the portal, and with it he might just be able to save the world after all. Unless, of course, the Tyrant King gets to him first …Hey everyone, so as most of you know, I write books for a living, and I just put this title up on Amazon (and enrolled it in KU). Because KU requires exclusivity as part of their terms of service, I have had to pull the majority of the content from this site. I left the full novel up for as long as possible, so I hope everyone got a chance to read it. If you haven't had a chance to read it in its entirety (sorry!) you can pick it up on Amazon. Thanks again for coming on this journey with me, and I so hope you enjoyed it. The book will be out on Tuesday July 24th. Best, James Hunter

Though, once Tenner broke out of his neighborhood - a prison isolated from the rest of the world - things didn't all go according to plan. He didn't expect that the world was a wasteland. He didn't expect creatures, hungry for juicy human flesh, to live in that wasteland. He certainly wasn't ready for Realms, massive sphere cities run by mysterious Workers, and their mad priests.
