《Prisoner 345 {the 100}》Chapter 1: Pilot ✯

That zooming sound. I was used to it by now. It's all I've ever heard the last two years of my life. I'm 12 now. I got locked up for no reason. I hate these cells. I hate Jaha. My mum was floated right after I was born. And my dad... that's a different story.
I was laying in my bed. Thinking about how earth would be. Would it be empty? I imagined unicorns flying around.
I was snapped out of my thoughts by an alarm. My door swung open revealing two guards.
"Prisoner 345, face to the wall." One of them spoke and I did as they said. What was going on?
"Hold out your right arm." Were they gonna float me? I mean, the only time they opened my cell doors was to feed me.
"Wait, I'm not even 18 yet." I tried.
"Hold out your right arm." The guard asked me again, ignoring what I said.
I realised it'd be better if I just cooperated so I did everything they told me to do. They put a grey bracelet around my arm, it stung.
They brought me outside and I saw every single prisoner being led out of their cell. Would it be something else then? What was their intention with us?
✯
I was sitting in a sort of space ship next to a guy with goggles. I looked at him and he looked back making me look away. Don't get me wrong, I'm a very outgoing person. But I didn't know any of the people sitting on this dropship and that makes me shy.
"What's your name?" The guy with goggles asked. Right in that moment another boy showed his head, next to the guy with goggles. They were both black haired.
"Uh, I'm Aaliyah." I answered, almost whispering. Social anxiety sucks.
"I'm Jasper, and this is Monty. Aren't you a little young to be a prisoner? I mean, no offense but, how old are you?" The guy with goggles who I now know as Jasper asked.
Obviously they would ask me about my age.
"I'm 12." I answered quietly. I didn't hear anything else they said because I zoned out.
Suddenly, the lights went off and back on, I heard some kids scream.
"What was that?" I asked Jasper.
"That was the atmosphere." He answered and I nodded. Then we saw chancellor Jaha on a little tv screen. He started talking about us getting a new chance but I didn't listen. I hated that guy. He arrested me for no reason. I mean, I disobeyed the rules, yes, but I had my reasons.

A guy unlocked his belt and started floating around the room.
"Check this out. Your dad floated me after all." He said to Wells, who I recognised as the son of the chancellor. What was he even doing here?
Two other boys unlocked their belts as well, causing the attention of a pretty blonde girl, who looks about 17-18 years old.
"Hey, you two! Stay put if you wanna live." She yelled at the boys but they didn't listen.
The ship shook making the three boys fall down. The ship shook again but this time everything went silent.
"You hear that?", Jasper asked me.
"No?", I answered, more sounding like a question and not knowing what he was talking about.
"No machine hum.", The boy next to Jasper said.
"That's a first.", I mumbled.
Soon enough all of our seatbelts unlocked making everyone rise from their seats.
"The other door's on the lower level. Let's go!", I heard a boy yell.
Everyone followed the boy and we climbed down a ladder. Everyone was squeezing me. I was probably the youngest person here and I was short for my age. Great combination.
"No we can't just open the doors!", The blondie yelled walking towards us.
"Hey, just back it up guys!", The guard in front of me yelled. His hair was combed back and I noticed his freckled face. I hate guards.
"Stop!", The blondie yelled making her way towards the guard, "The air could be toxic."
"If the air's toxic, we're all dead anyway.", The guard stated. He was right. But I didn't want him to be.
"Bellamy?", Suddenly a pretty, brunette girl said with a shaking voice. She climbed down the ladder and ran over to Bellamy.
"That's the girl hid under the floor.", Someone whispered.
"Look how big you are.", Bellamy said to the girl with a smile before wrapping her in a hug. Seemed like they knew each other from somewhere. They hugged each other tightly. When they released, the girl looked at Bellamy confused.
"What the hell are you wearing? A guard's uniform?", She snapped.
"I borrowed it to get on the dropship.", He simply answered. You could tell the girl didn't really believe him. But I thought he was a guard, why would he have to borrow it?
"Someone's gotta keep an eye on you.", He then added smirking, making her smile. The two hugged again when the blonde girl interrupted their moment.
"Where's your wristband?", She asked confused.

"Do you mind? I haven't seen my brother in a year.", The brunette said. Oh, they were siblings. At the ark it was forbidden to have more than one kid to save oxygen. It was very rare to have a sibling here, that's probably why the brunette got locked up.
"No one has a brother!", A boy behind me yelled.
"That's Octavia Blake. The girl they found hidden under the floor.", Someone else yelled. I heard stories about a girl hiding under the floor. Octavia, was her name.
Octavia lunged at them but Bellamy stopped her.
"Octavia, Octavia no!", Bellamy yelled holding Octavia back, "Give them something else to remember you by."
"Yeah, like what?", She asked her brother, looking at him.
"Like being the first person on the ground in 100 years.", Bellamy said. No offense, but it was 97 years.
They both smiled at each other and Bellamy opened the door making a strong light catch my eyes. I squinted my eyes to get used to the strong light.
It was so beautiful. Way more beautiful than I imagined. There were trees, as green as the grass. The sun was shining. It smelled like heaven. This was the best day of my life.
Everyone was surprised and some people's mouth hung open. Octavia slowly stepped to the front, about to walk off the dropship. She jumped on the grass screaming: "We're back, bitches!"
And as she screamed, everyone ran past her, yelling of happiness. It was amazing to see all these people smile.
✯
I saw Jasper standing next to the blonde girl who I found out was Clarke, and Wells, the son of the chancellor. I decided to join them, I had to make friends, and some of the kids here scared me.
Right when I joined, a group of boys walked towards us.
"Hey! Hands off of him, he's with us.", A boy of the group yelled.
"Relax. We're just trying to figure out where we are.", Wells said holding his hands up in defence.
"We're on the ground. Isn't that good enough for you?", Bellamy yelled. Octavia was standing next to him. I felt a bit uncomfortable standing there. Wells walked into the direction of Bellamy.
"We need to find Mount Weather. You heard my father's message. That's our first priority.", Wells said.
"Screw your father.", Octavia spat, "Just because your father's the chancellor doesn't mean you're in charge here."
"Do you think we care who's in charge?", Clarke groaned, "We need to get to Mounth Weather. Not because the chancellor said so, but because the longer we wait the hungrier we'll get and the harder this'll be. How long do you think we'll last without those supplies? We're looking at a 20-mile trek, okay? So if we wanna get there before dark, we need to leave. Now."
"I got a better idea.", Bellamy spoke up, "You two, go find it for us. Let the privileged do the hard work for a change." I didn't agree with Bellamy, I agreed with Clarke.
A lot of people yelled "yeah", but I didn't.
"You're not listening, we all need to go.", Wells said. I felt bad for him. He got pushed aside by the boy from earlier, the boy who scares me.
"Look at this everybody. The chancellor of earth." The boy said. Poor Wells. I didn't exactly like his father but that didn't mean Wells was bad. He seemed genuine and nice.
"You think that's funny?", Wells said. If I had the courage, I would protect him, but they would just laugh at me if I did that. Cons of being 12.
The two started fighting when suddenly Finn, the spacewalker, jumped between the two, looking at the boy that scares me.
"The kid's got one leg. How about you wait until it's a fair fight.", Finn hissed.
"Hey spacewalker," Octavia said walking over to Finn, "rescue me next."
✯
I heard Octavia say "Sounds like a party, make it five."
"Hey, what the hell are you doing?", Bellamy asked Octavia.
"Going for a walk.", Octavia said.
"Can I come too?", I asked and Octavia nodded and smiled. Would she be my very first friend here?
"No, it's too dangerous. We don't know what's out there.", Clarke said, ruining my chances of making friends. I rolled my eyes and looked at Octavia who gave me a sad look. She walked over to me.
"Hey, what's your name?", She asked me.
"I'm Aaliyah, and you're Octavia.", I said impressed.
"I'm just gonna call you Al. Do you have a place to sleep?", She asked me and I shook my head. "You know what? Whilst I'm gone you can settle into my tent, I got no roommates and otherway it'll be boring. How does that sound, Al?", She said.
I smiled at her and nodded my head, walking towards the tent. Maybe earth wasn't so bad after all.

Conquest Of Mortem
*NOTE* This novel is a war of attrition. To say anything less is a disservice to its demand. While comparable to other such works as Ulysses or Moby Dick, each sentence in Conquest is an enemy to be tackled. Not in the ways of difficulty but in absurd density that wishes nothing more than to destroy what patience you may have. Do not tackle chapters as you would ordinary chapters in an ordinary book. Tackle each chapter as a book unto itself. A foe to be vanquished, a period of life to leave behind. Seek to be master of this work. Seek to overcome. For in its design is the willpower, and the perseverance, and the strength of someone who sought meaning in struggle. As I discovered these in times of ultimate desperation, so I hope for you to discover these things. This novel is a love letter to your trials. May you overcome them. May you master them. May you become conquerer.- SeedSagaA literary epic for logophiles, philosophers, and poets alike. A journey into zeitgeist, the impact of media on culture, and the endurance of morality against an onslaught of hatred. These vague descriptions do little to compact Conquest's density into a bite-size summary. They do however relate the basest themes found within. A plot, if such can be surmised, is strung thinly across multiple perspectives, weaving together these concepts into a seemingly distorted tapestry of indecipherable events. Inspired by early 20th century modernism, Conquest will challenge the reader, and provide critique on the medium upon which all great stories are derived. Further interpretation is up to you now; an explorer among a sea of words. Venture on and discover what lies ahead, in...CONQUEST OF MORTEM
