《Prisoner 345 {the 100}》Chapter 6: Twilight's Last Gleaming ✯

The following day I woke up in Octavia's tent.
"Hey, I see you're up.", She said smiling at me. I nodded, forcing a smile back. "Bellamy told me what happened. Are you okay?" She asked worried.
"Fine.", I replied giving her one more forced smile before I left the tent. I was far from being okay.
I saw Finn and Clarke talking and walked over to them.
"What are you doing?", I asked them. They looked at each other and Clarke nodded.
"Yesterday, a dropship came down.... From the Ark. We're going to go look for it. Maybe there's food supplies or a radio. Maybe we can finally let the Ark know it's safe to come down, to earth.", Finn said smiling.
I wanted the Ark to come down. There were just certain people I didn't want to see again. When my parents got floated my aunt took care of me as if I were her own kid. Well, she wasn't actually my aunt. She was my mums best friend but I always called her aunt. I was 9 when my dad got floated so my aunt was a big part of my life. I promised her to stay alive. I'd do anything to see her again so I hoped there was a radio. I wanted to hear and smell her again. I wanted her to hug me. I missed her so much. And I also wanted to see my twin brother again. I promised him I'd stay but I didn't.
"I'm coming too.", I said.
"Alright, let's go.", Finn said grabbing my arm and the three of us took off.
✯
We were running through the woods for like 30 minutes now and I was so tired. I didn't really have a good condition.
"Should we split up?", Clarke asked.
"Yeah. You go that way. Aaliyah and I will check the bottom.", Finn said signing that I had to follow him.
"Okay.", Clarke said as she ran the oppisite way.
After running for a while, we saw Clarke and a girl I didn't know.
"Raven.", Finn called out making the girl, Raven, look at us.
"Finn!", Raven yelled and she ran towards him. They held each other in a way I knew they were more than friends. I raised my eyebrows and looked over at Clarke who was speechless.
"I knew you couldn't be dead.", Raven said. Finn looked over at Clarke and then back to Raven.
"You're bleeding.", He said, changing the subject.
"I don't care.", Raven answered, smiling. They obviously had a relationship. Yup. Raven kissed Finn. Let me tell you, Clarke's face was worth a million dollars. I raised my eyebrows even more. When they were done kissing Raven chuckled.
"How did you get here?", Finn asked her not even considering making eye contact with Clarke.
"You know that big scrap hold? The one on K deck?", Raven asked.

Finn looked over at Clarke before speaking up. "You built that from scrap?"
"I kind of rebuilt it.", Raven said proudly. I had no idea what they were talking about. Finn laughed. "Please, like that's hard." Raven bragged. "It just needed a couple of parts and some love." I didn't like her attitude.
"You're insane.", Finn said surprised by Ravens actions.
"I'd do more for you and worse.", When Raven said that I could tell Clarke was about to explode. "Just like you would for me."
Finn looked over at Clarke and Raven suddenly lost her balance. Finn told her to sit down and I walked over to Clarke, when Finn walked over to us.
"I'm sorry.", Finn said.
"Let's not talk about this.", Clarke said. Finn looked over at me and I shook my head. Is it bad that I thought this situation was kinda funny? It was so hard not to laugh. Oof, I'm such a bad person.
"We've known each other our whole life.", Finn tried.
"We don't need to talk about it.", Clarke stated. "She needs to put pressure on the wound." And with that, we all walked over to Raven.
"These are Clarke and Aaliyah. They were on the dropship too.", Finn introduced us.
"Clarke? This was all because of your mum.", Raven said standing up.
"My mum?", Clarke asked.
"This was all her plan. We were trying to come down here together. If we waited- Oh, my god. We couldn't wait because the Council is voting whether to kill 300 people to save air.", Raven said making us all look at her shocked.
"When?", I asked panicking.
"Today.", Raven said and my heart dropped. They were going to kill 300 innocent people. I hope Raven has a radio with her. "We have to tell them you're alive." Oof, she had a radio.
We all went over to the dropship as Raven looked for the radio.
"The radio is gone.", Oh, no. This was really bad. "It must've gotten loose during reentry. I should've strapped it to the A-strut. Stupid." Yeah, stupid.
"No. No, this is my fault.", Clarke said. How could this be her fault? "Someone got here before us. We have to find him." Then I knew who she meant. Bellamy would do anything so the Ark won't come down. I'm not sure why though.
✯
Clarke and I found Bellamy walking in the woods.
"Hey!", Clarke yelled and when he saw her, he rolled his eyes making me roll mine. "Where is it?"
"Hey, princess. You taking a walk in the woods?", He asked like his nose was bleeding.
"They're getting ready to kill 300 people up there. To save oxygen. And I can guarantee you it won't be Council members. It'll be working people. Your people.", She said. I felt my heart drop. My aunt...

"Bellamy! Where's the radio?", Finn yelled pushing Bellamy back.
"I have no idea what you're talking about.", He answered. He better not.
"Bellamy Blake? They're looking everywhere for you-", Raven started but Bellamy cut her off.
"Shut up.", Bellamy said.
"Looking for him why?", I asked Raven. Weren't we all criminals? When I asked that Bellamy looked at me and fear crossed his face.
"He shot chancellor Jaha.", Raven sassed. Oh, my god. That's why he didn't want the Ark to come down. That's so selfish.
"It's why you took the wristbands. You wanted everyone to think we're dead.", Clarke said.
"And all that 'whatever the hell we want'? You just care about saving your own skin.", Finn said. I was so disappointed. Why did Bellamy have to be like this? I thought he was different, he was different. Would he even care about me?
He walked away but Raven stopped him.
"Where's my radio?", She asked him and I'd like to know too. Maybe we could still contact the Ark.
"Get out of my way.", Bellamy said.
"Where is it?", Raven asked. Remember when I said I didn't like her? Let me take that back.
"I should've killed you when I had the chance.", Bellamy said and that was it.
"Really? Well, I'm right here.", Raven sassed. Bellamy grabbed Raven and held on to her neck as Raven held a knife in his face.
"Where's my radio?", Raven asked again.
"Okay, stop it.", I said. They both let go of each other and Bellamy slowly walked away.
"Jaha deserved to die. You all know that.", Bellamy stated and as much as I hated Jaha too, no one deserves to die.
"Yeah, he's not my favourite person either. But he isn't dead.", Raven said making us all look shocked, especially Bellamy.
"What?", He asked concerned and relieved at the same time.
"You're a lousy shot.", Raven said making me chuckle but as soon Finn looked at me I coughed and became serious again.
"Bellamy, don't you see what this means? You're not a murderer. You always did what you had to do to protect your sister. That's who you are.", Clarke said. She was really good at giving advice, honestly. "And you can do it again. By protecting 300 of your people. Where's the radio?"
"It's too late.", Bellamy said and all my hope was lost right then.
✯
Currently, we and some other kids from camp were looking for the radio in the river Bellamy threw it in. Bellamy walked over to me.
"Why did you try to kill him?", I asked not looking at him.
"Aaliyah, he deserves to die.", He said.
"No one deserves to die.", I stated turning my face to him.
"Even when they float both of your parents?", He said and now I did look at him. After glaring at him for like 10 seconds I looked away again.
"You don't have the right to talk about them.", I told him closing my eyes so he didn't see the tears in my eyes.
"They murdered your parents. And not only yours, they floated loads of people. How can you still think he doesn't deserve to die?", He asked me.
"Because we are not murderers.", I told him.
"Well, I didn't kill him either.", He said.
"Bellamy, my aunt is still up there. The only thing I'm living for right now, is to see her again. When I was born, I had a twin brother. My mum got floated for that. Lucas and I saw each other in secret. I promised him when they locked me up I wouldn't leave him. But I did. I have to see them again. That's currently the only thing I want. The Ark has to know we're still alive.", I told Bellamy and he nodded. He wrapped me into a hug and whispered 'I'm sorry'.
"I found it!", A boy yelled and we all ran over to him. He handed it to Raven as she examined it.
"Can you fix it?", I asked her hopeful.
"Maybe. It'll take half a day to dry out the components to see what's broken.", Raven said making me curse.
"Like I said. It's too late.", Bellamy said making me roll my eyes.
"Do you have any idea what you did? Do you even care?", Clarke asked Bellamy raising her voice.
"You asked me to help. I helped.", Bellamy said not making the situation better.
"300 people are gonna die today because of you.", Clarke blamed him.
"Hold up. We don't have to talk to the Ark. Just have to let them know we're down here, right?", Raven started.
"Yeah, but, how do we do that with no radio?", I asked Raven. I was losing all my hope.
✯
Ravens idea was to launch flares so the Ark could see our signs. It was night now and everyone looked at the flares being launched.
"You think they can see it from up there?", I asked Bellamy.
"I don't know. I hope so.", He said.
"Can you wish on this kind of shooting star?", I asked him. He looked at me like I just said something ridiculous.
"Forget it.", I said kind of hurt.
"I wouldn't even know what to wish for.", He answered. "What about you?" He then asked me.
"I'd wish the Ark finds out we're still alive so my aunt and brother can come down.", I answered. Bellamy wrapped his arm around me as we continued looking at the firework.

The Pillar Forts, one of the few successful projects of the United Nations headed by the United States, stand ready to defend humanity against any invasion that may come through the strange Connection Pillars that appeared on each continent. Massive steel and stone walls that surround the Connection Pillars. They are filled with deadly men and women trained in all manner of warfare, each trained in the newly acquired System with skills and magical abilities that they put to deadly purpose. Beside these brave warriors, tanks, helicopters, artillery and more stand ready to defend humanity at each of these powerful installations. But, can they overcome the disparity in levels and experience between themselves and the forces that threaten them and the rest of humanity? Main Characters Jessica Brown- A young African American girl. Her 18th birthday in Detroit was the same day the systems message appeared. The week after her birthday, government workers started testing every person in the US in a massive census effort of skills and abilities. Jessica Brown found herself conscripted into the US Magical Corp, a new branch of the US Military, and shipped off to a Pillar Fort. Somewhere hot and muggy in her ancestors’ home of Africa. As she grows stronger, she finds she has some connection to the pillars. While everyone else sees beauty or danger when they look at the pillars, after connection is made all Jessica can see is a Tree. A tree the size of the entire universe. Isaka Smith - is a third generation American and farmer who just wants to be left alone. But she is dragged into the situation by events beyond her control. When people in her small town had to deal with rioters and looters after the system announcement, she rallied them to defend themselves, earning her a trait that the government found extraordinarily useful. After a visit to a local reservation, she finds herself conscripted to lead one of the many small support towns erected around the great pillar forts. Not near her old home, but in far-flung Africa. John McIntire, the “Fighting Bull” -The commander of the African Fort, but because of circumstances beyond his ability to contend with shortly after taking command after being re-activated from retirement, he finds communication with his chain of command increasingly difficult. The US government, hell, even the United Nations, seems to have fallen into complete and utter chaos. The African Union is embroiled in a bitter civil war just outside his door, and supposedly, most of the world governments are in similar situations. Meanwhile, John must do his best to be ready to facilitate diplomacy, or to match the hostile argument of whatever force might come through the pillar of light when the year timer finishes counting down. Can our heros defend Earth from outside threats, while it tares itself apart? Or will they need to rebuild from the ground up? DEDICATION: This story is dedicated to my father who passed away recently. Jim Holloway, you’ll be missed you old silverback gorilla. Love you dad. Always have, always will.
