Screams snapped her out of her thoughts as the sound of glass breaking was heard across the room. Everyone screamed in terror. They fall on the floor, trying to protect themselves from the glass. Then, they shakily tried to standed on their feet as they were still a little shaken . They started running when giant scary men started killing people. Everyone was running, trying to find a escape. The Queen was horrified, she run to her husband as he was yelling for the guards but no one showed up.
They gasped once they realised who they are. They were barbarians. Their appearances were rare. No one knew where they were. Some say, they were hidden in the shadows. It was really hard to locate them since they were hidden really well, they were noiseless, no one could predict their next move. They were known for being cruel, reckless and coldhearted. They do not show kindness or affection to anyone. They didn't care for no one. They always do what was best for them and their people.
Isabella didn't know who they are or what they want. She could feel their power randing off of them. Their clothes and emotion creeping on their faces made them look horrifying. Isabella, fearing for her life, hide herself under they table since the door was blocked from one giant man with a sword in his hand. Memories of her past popped up in her head. She started shaking as her tears slipped softly down on her rosy cheeks. She was really scared. She didn't want to die.
People screamed as they watched their husbands and families bodies fall on the floor, dead. The Queen raced out of the room to save herself with her husband following behind, not caring that their people were cruelly murdered. They knew they had abandon their son behind, fighting to stay alive, but they didn't have time to return back, since their lives were more important to them than their own son.
Suddenly, it was silent. The screams stopped. She sucked in a breath, not moving an inch. She couldn't hear anything but, then a male someone spoke," We are done, sir."
She didn't hear an answer. She decided to stay quiet. She slowly placed her butt on the cold floor as her knees started to burn but then a whimper of pain escaped her lips as a piece of glass cut her knee when she tried to straighten her legs. She froze. Her heart started pounding in her chest, praying that they did t hear her.

Her fears came true as she heard footsteps approaching her and stopped in front of the table. She swallowed as as she saw feet from under the table. Someone flipped the table around making her breath hitch. She slowly raised her head to see a man looking down at her with narrowed eyes. He bent down and moved his head closer.
Isabella was frozen, not knowing what to do. Her mind seemed to stopped working. She took in his appearance. He had long brown hair that reached his but. He had big brown eyes with small lips. He had a long beard making him look more manly. He seemed to do the same as his eyes wandered around her face before a smirk appeared in his lips.
He, suddenly, grabbed her by her small waist and throwed her over his shoulder. She whimpered when her injured knee came in contact with his silver cauldron pattern. He ignored her pained whimpers. She cringed as she felt her blood run down her leg.
She raised her heard and looked around. She looked at the lifeless bodies laying on the floor with blood around them. The people who earlier were laughing and dancing, were now dead. She didn't see Prince Eric, making her sign in relief. She might not like him but she didn't want him dead.
She was feeling weak and nauseous looking at the blood, she couldn't find the energy to fight back or the voice to scream at him to let her go. Everything started turning making her dizzy before she blaked out, she heard this man talking to someone but she couldn't understand what he said.

Isabella opened her eyes slowly. She looked at her surroundings confused. She couldn't recognize where she was. She felt something soft under her and looked at her right, her eyes widening when she noticed she was placed on a mattress. She slowly rubbed the brown fury blanket, feeling the softness under her fingers.
Her eyebrows furrowed in confusion as she felt her heart beat fast reazing she had no idea where she is. She raised her gaze again, trying to stay calm and looked around. She wasn't in a room, she would tell that. She didn't see walls or doors. It was like a tend but a bigger than a normal one. It was like a little room.
At her right, a few feet away from her, it had a small bathtub with small table next to it with a round wooden bowl with water. In front of her was placed a small wooden table with a bowl with grapes. She did not see a kitchen.

Then, she remembered everything. The ball, the attack, the murdered people. Her mouth hang open as she remembered that guy taking her with him before she passed out. She gulped and looked around not knowing what to do. She felt something on her leg when she tried to get up. She pulled off the blanket and moved up the white nightgown she was dressed in. Bandage was wrapped around her big scratch.
She yelped when remembered what she was wearing. She placed her hands on her burning cheeks. Someone saw her naked. She felt so embarrassed. She slapped her cheeks as she remembered where she was.
She was scared. She didn't know what will happen to her, she didn't know if she will be dead by the end of the day. A million questions were going through her mind. Who were they? Why did they kill all these people? Why didn't he kill her when he saw her? What did he wanted from her?
She bit her lip nervously as her heart was beating faster anxiously. She was so into her thoughts that she didn't hear him coming in. She felt a burning gaze on her. She raised her glance and a breathless gasp left her lips. Her eyes contacted with icy blue eyes. She felt a shiver run down her spine.
Her eyes wandered around his face. He was the most handsome man she had ever seen in her whole life. She had seen a lot of men since she was a maid and they used to have parties and celebrations almost all the time but he was nothing like them.
He had long black silky hair, that reached his shoulders, in braids. He had a short beard but she could still see his sharp jawline. He had big round blues eyes. This was the first time she had ever seen so beautiful eyes. She could feel herself getting lost in them the longer she stared at them. She felt something in her stomach, like butterflies, going crazy. She unwillingly looked away from his eyes, trailing them down.
She stared at his plump lips, his lips looked so soft and kissable. She suddenly felt the urge to feel his lips on hers, to see if they were as shoft as they looked. She shook her head, biting her lip, to shake away these thoughts as she felt her cheeks burn. What's gotten into me, she thought to herself.
After staring at him for what seemed like hours, her eyes traveled further down to his body. He was heavily built. His chest was bare, exposing his well defined eight pack. His one hand had a silver pauldron pattern while the othe was bare. He was wearing a leather skirt, that reached his knees. It had with leather patterns and animal skin with cuts on the sides, revealing his muscled thighs.
When she felt like was done looking at his body, she slowly returned her gaze back to his eyes. Her cheeks turned pink as she realized he knew she was eyeing him. She lowered her gaze as she suddenly felt weak under his powerful glaze.
It was weird, she wasn't as scared as she was before he appeared. His presence made her feel safe and calm, making her feel confused at her feelings. She knew she shouldn't be feeling like this. He was a stranger, he could kill her but for some reason, she knew he wasn't going to.
After a couple of minutes, she heard him approaching her slowly. She felt him come to a stop when he was in front of her. His scent hit her in the face making her take a big sniff. She sighed as she smelled his forest and musky smell. He smell wonderful.
He bent slowly to her level. He was just staring at her. He placed an apple with some grapes in front of her." Eat." He said coldly. She felt goosebumps at the sound of his deep and rich voice.
Before she could say something, her stomach talked for her as it growled. She blushed in embarrassed, quickly bending her head down, hoping he wouldn't comment something. He didn't. She sighed as she grabbed the apple and took a bit. She took small bites as she felt nervous under his stare.

DISCLAIMER!!!!!!This book is probably very bad! Who am I kidding? there's no probably, it's very bad. There are probably some things that don't make sense or don't add up, and the writing in the first chapters (or all) is bad.I know I have improved but this was just a warning, so I don't get cussed out in the comments. Lol, jk. I wrote this when I was younger (I hated editing) so there are a lot of mistakes with capitalizing, punctuation, sentence structure etc.Read at your own risk. You were warned.************Excerpt. The pounding of my head could be heard from a mile away. I closed my eyes tightly and tried not to focus on the pain. I was becoming irritated by both the headache and the stupid chains. I opened my eyes and looked over at my sister, she was sleeping with her head hanging low. I looked away from her and pulled on the chains, ignoring the migraine I'm pretty sure I have. This is just pure cruelty, I really prefered staying in the room. I looked around the room, for what felt like the millionth time within this hour.I took a deep and long breath before I just let my hands hang to the sides of my head in the chains. My breathing slowed and I closed my eyes. When I opened my eyes a while after I noticed that someone was in the room. "What are you doing in here?" I asked.~~~~~~~~Highest Rank #1 in General Fiction.New cover made by @lexusloveangels. Thanks again, I love it.
