As Gon was signing the forms, Killua notices 3 figures standing behind them.
Killua: "You want something?" Killua asked suspiciously.
Riehvelt: "Oh, no. Not really." Riehvelt responded.
Sadaso: "We're simply waiting in line, so we can register for a match. Right?" Sadaso said as Gido cackled.
Killua: "Oh, I get it now." Killua said, coming to the conclusion that they prey on newcomers.
Killua: "Hey, Gon. I think these guys wanna fight on the same day you do." Killua said.
Gon: "I'm ready. Just let me know when I fight." Gon said as he handed the form to the staffer.
Killua: "Well, you heard him." Killua said, looking back at the three vultures.
Sadaso: "That boy is brimming with energy, huh?" Sadaso asked as Gido and Riehvelt laughed.
Staffer: "Now, Mister Gon will be in room 2207, and Mister Killua in 2223." The staffer said as she handed them their Keys.
Staffer: "We'll let you know which day your match is set." The staffer said.
Gon: "Thanks a lot, Miss!" Gon said as he and Killua took their keys.
Killua: 'Im willing to bet that those guys must have gone through the same tough initiation Four-Eyes was talking about.' Killua thought to himself, referring to wing as Four Eyes.
Killua: "If we'd gone in blind, we both could've ended up exactly as they did." Killua said as he and Gon entered room 2207.
Gon: "Wow! This room is huge!" Gon said, ignoring Killua.
Killua: "Hey! Aren't you listening?" Killua asked.
Gon: "Look at how sparkly the bathroom is!" Gon said from the bathroom, still ignoring Killua.
Gon: "Oh, wow! I've never seen such a big bed in my whole life!" Gon said as he threw his bag and The prison realm on the bed and ran toward the window.
Gon: "Look, Killua!" Gon said as he looked out the window.
Killua: "Hey, Gon!" Killua said as he walked toward the TV after it made a ringing sound.
They then see that the TV says the date of Gon's fight. Which was March 11th, which is tomorrow.
Killua: "What? Tomorrow? That's fast." Killua said surprised.
Gon: "I dont think I can win yet. But that's okay! I just need the experience." Gon said, making Killua smile.
Gon: "I need to find out what I can do now that I have this power." Gon said with resolve.
-Timeskip 1 day.-
Commentator: "We've got a thrilling match for you today, everyone! First up is Gon, who managed to zip straight to this floor in no time at all!" The commentator said as Gon stepped into the arena
Commentator: "His opponent will be Gido, who currently holds a respectable record of four wins and one loss!" The commentator said as Gido stepped into the ring.
-Flashback-
Wing: "Gon. Killua. Listen to me. Ten is only defensive. In terms of offense, it will offer you no advantage. It is also important to remember physical attacks will still cause damage." Wing said.
Wing: "An opponent who is highly skilled in the use of Nen, will be able to penetrate your Ten and can easily deal a lethal blow. That's why you should wait two months before you start fighting. During that time I will teach you as much as I'm able." Wing said.
-Flashback Over.-
Gon: 'I'm sorry, Mister Wing. But I'm itching for a fight right now!' Gon thought to himself while stretching.
Wing: "Goodness gracious. That boy's a real handful." Wing said while watching Gon's fight.

Referee: "And... begin!" The Referee said, starting the fight.
Gido starts by creating several spinning tops on his cane.
Commentator: "There they are, Gido's Dancing Tops! He uses an arsenal of dangerous spinning tops to attack his opponent and crush them into submission!" The commentator said.
Gido: "Here we go! Battle Waltz!" Gido shouted as he threw the Tops at Gon.
The tops then circle Gon, Not allowing him to move anywhere. And Then one of the tops bounce off of each other, resulting in one slamming into Gon's back.
Referee: "Clean hit!" The referee said.
Commentator: "Gon gives up a hit! One point to Gido! He's sure not wasting any time! Gon's off to a rough start!" The commentator said.
Gido: "I can use Nen to keep these tops attacking you for hours. The attack pattern is so incredibly complex that no one knows what they'll do next! Not even me!" Gido said.
Gon: 'The tops are bouncing off each other and attacking me. They might be small, but they pack a big punch.' Gon thought to himself while dodging the Tops.
Gon then tries to leap away from the tops, but they just follow after him. Then the tops all bounce off of each other. Another one hitting his back.
Commentator: "And another top hits him from behind! It looks like he's in big trouble now because he's just been surrounded by the Dancing tops!" The commentator said as Gon kept dodging the tops.
Then, A top hit him in his face, sending him flying back.
Referee: "That's clean hit and knockdown! For two points!" The referee said as Gon shot up.
Commentator: "Gido's up to an early four-point lead!" The commentator said.
Referee: "Can you fight?" The referee asked.
Gon: "You bet!" Gon responded.
Gon: 'There are too many tops for me to be able to keep track of all of them. Dammit! What should I do?' Gon thought to himself.
-Cut to an unknown location.-
We currently see the same unknown figure in a luxurious house, watching Gon's fight.
???: "Geez. If he's struggling this much against that spinning top idiot, then he has no chance of beating anyone on this floor." The figure said.
???: "Wait a second... That's the guy I gave the initiation to! Man, I forgot how badly I messed him up. I wonder how his other friends are doing." The figure said while reminiscing.
???: "Not like it matters. That kid is done for." The figure said while shutting off the TV.
-Cut back to Gon.-
Gon: 'I can't follow them with my eyes. The tops have been charged with Nen. I have to sense their presence!' Gon said as he stopped moving and closed his eyes.
Gon: 'Yeah. I feel it!' Gon thought to himself before his Ten began to fade.
Gon: 'My Ten is fading!' Gon thought to himself as he got hit in the chest by a top.
Commentator: "Another direct hit! Gon is completely helpless! He's been knocked clear out of the ring!" The commentator said.
Commentator: "The score is now six-zero! He's dug himself quite a hole!" The commentator said.
Gon: 'It's no use. If I focus on sensing the tops, I neglect my Ten and it seeps away... So, what should I-?' Gon thought to himself, before noticing a top outside the ring.
Gon: 'A top bounced outside the ring... But... it's not attacking me...' Gon thought to himself.
Referee: "What's wrong? Can you continue with the match?" The referee asked.
Gon: "Be quiet, okay? Im trying to think here!" Gon said annoyed.
Referee: "If you're not back in the ring by the count of ten, you lose!" The referee said angrily.
Gon: 'Now that I think about it, the Nen in this top didn't feel malicious. What about all the others? They're just spinning around the ring randomly and bumping into each other. Maybe the tops aren't coming after me at all.' Gon thought to himself, ignoring the Referee's counting.
Referee: "Four!"
Gon: "How come you're standing outside of the ring?" Gon asked, finally acknowledging the Referee's existence.
Referee: "Because if I stayed up there in the ring, I'd probably end jo getting hurt, too! And Five!" The referee said as he continued counting.
Gon: "That's it! It's just like a game of sumo tops!" Gon said.
Wing: "It's impossible to command regular tops to move with precision. It's much more likely that Gido commands them to strike down anything in their way. They spin around the ring, striking anything unfortunate enough to cross their paths." Wing said, breaking down Gido's ability.
Referee: "Seven!"
Gon: 'If the tops aren't aiming for me, I don't have to fear them so much! I can ignore them and attack Gido directly!' Gon thought to himself while running into the ring.
Gido: "You may have figured out my tops, but you still can't land an attack on me!" Gido said as he started spinning.
Commentator: "There it is! Gido's special technique, combining offense and defense! Tornado Top!" The commentator said as Gon was sent flying back.
Commentator: "Whoa! Gon gets hit with a vicious counter!" The commentator said as Gon was sent outside the arena.
Commentator: "Three points! The judge has awarded a critical hit and knockdown! Gido has nine points! Gon is on the brink of defeat!" The commentator said as Gon began to get up.
Gido: "I turn into a top to protect myself and let my Dancing Tops handle the offense! It's a conservative strategy but it's effective for racking up the points!" Gido said.
Wing: "There are several ways to defeat Gido. You can attack him until he tires and his Ten begins to fade. Or you can use Hatsu to overpower his defense. Both of those methods would require an extremely large amount of aura. But Gon doesn't know Ren yet... The technique for generating aura instantly." Wing said as Gon got back into the ring.
Wing: "Learning how to create large amounts of aura quickly and how to channel it into attacks... That requires endless training and combat experience to learn. Gon has neither. He'd need five more years of training to fight Gido." Wing said
Wing: "I'm sure that's beginning to dawn on him." Wing said.
Gon: 'What should I do? How am I gonna prolong this match? If he scores one more point, it's over. But I wanna keep fighting! What can I do right now?' Gon thought to himself.
Gon: 'I got it.' Gon thought to himself, having an idea as to what to do.
Gon then proceeds to shut off his Ten, shocking Killua and Wing.
Wing: 'He released his Ten?! That's so reckless! But he didn't just release it... That's... Zetsu! The technique for concealing your presence! All the nodes are closed and there is no aura! Even the normal, faint leak of aura is closed off, is closed off, leaving him no defense against Nen!' Wing thought to himself.
Wing: 'I didn't teach him Zetsu. Did he learn it before we met? If that's the case, he wouldn't know that this is Zetsu. He probably picked it up naturally on his own, He certainly has incredible potential. But why would he use it now... here?' Wing thought to himself.
Killua: "You idiot! What if you get hit by another Nen attack? Without protection, that'll mess you up!" Killua shouted.
Gon: 'I know that. But... if I'm gonna track the tops' complex movements with only feelings to go on, then I need to focus all of my senses.' G9n thought to himself.
Wing: 'Could it be that he never intended to win this watch? He's risking everything... He's risking his own life... to train?!' Wing thought to himself, absolutely stunned that Gon would do this.
Gido: "Do you have a death wish, kid? Then here! Let me give you what you want!" Gido said as he sent his tops at Gon.
Gido: "What?!" Gido said, shocked that Gon managed to dodged the tops.
Commentator: "Amazing! That's the first time Gon had managed to evade an attack!" The commentator said.
Gon: 'I can feel them. I know where they're heading!' Gon thought to himself as he dodged the tops.
Gon: 'This is all I can do right now. Just concentrate on dodging my opponent's attacks!' Gon thought to himself as he kept on dodging.
Gon: 'At least this way I can still fight!' Gon thought to himself.
-Timeskip.-
Killua: "Your right radius and your ulna were both broken. A fractured humerus. Three broken ribs. Not to mention twelve other minor fractures. It'll take four months to heal. You moron!" Killua said.
Gon: "Sorry..." Gon said.
Killua: "Well, an apology isn't gonna help! Dont you have any brains in there at all?! Didn't you see what happened to all the guys who went through it? The Nen initiation?" Killua shouted angrily while rapidly poling Gon's forehead.
Killua: "One wrong move and you would have ended up like them! It could have been a lot worse, so you're lucky. Man. How come you think Four-Eyes was training us in the first place?" Killua said with disappointment in his voice.
Gon: "Still... I had a feeling that it'd be okay. I mean, sure, I took a few hits. But he missed my vital spots, so no big deal." Gon said nervously.
Killua then pushes his foot against Gon's busted arm with a smile on his face. Then, a knock was coming from the door.
Killua: "Come in!" Killua said as he walked toward the door and opened it. Revealing an angry-looking Wing.
Killua: "Oh! Four-Eyes!" Killua said, but Wing just walked past him.
Gon: "Uh, I'm sorry-" Gon tried to say, but was cut off by Wing slapping him.
Wing: "Apologizing to me isn't going to help! What on earth were you thinking?! Didn't you see the ones who went through the Nen initiation? You could easily have ended up just like them!" Wing shouted angrily.
Killua: "Yeah. I just told him the same thing." Killua added.
Wing: "Honestly... I'm glad it wasn't any worse." Wing said with his hand on Gon's shoulder.
Gon: "I'm sorry, Mr. Wing. I really am." Gon said apologetically.
Wing: "I'm not letting this slide." Wing said angrily, making Gon nervous.
Wing: "Killua. Do you know when Gon will be completely recovered?" Wing asked.
Killua: "The doctor said it'd take about two months." Killua lied mischievously.
Wing: "I see." Wing responded.
Gon: 'Thanks a lot, Killua.' Hon thought to himself.
Wing: "In that case, I won't allow you to participate in any matches for two months. Nor will I allow the study of or training in the use of Nen." Wing said while holding up 2 fingers.
Wing: "If you choose not to abode by these conditions, then you will never receive instruction from me again. Understand?" Wing asked.
Gon: "Yes, sir. I'll do as you say." Gon said.
Wing: "Your left hand." Wing said as he put something on Gon's left hand.
Wing: "This is a promise thread. Its purpose is to remind you of the promise you made." Wing explained.
Gon: "Okay." Gon said while looking at the promise thread.
Wing: "Killua. A word." Wing said as he and Killua left the room.
Wing: "So tell me... what is the true goal that you and Gon are pursuing here?" Wing asked.
Killua: "Well, Before we ran to you and Zushi, I wanted to earn some quick cash and find a way to free Y/n. Gon wants to beat a guy named Hisoka along with freeing Y/n as well. And that's it." Killua explained.
Killua: "Everyone on the 200th floor just wants to reach the top floor. The Battle Olympia. Right? Yeah, I'm not too interested. But Gon, though... Im not so sure." Killua says.
Killua: "He says he doesn't care what happens, as long as he gets to fight Hisoka. But after yesterday's match... I dont know. I get the feeling he just enjoys the thrill.' Killua says.
-Flashback.-
Commentator: "How long is this back-and-forth is going to go on is anybody's guess! Nearly fifty tops are flying around the ring! It's a terrifying whirlwind of spinning tops! But Gon is evading all of them! With all of his tops already in play, Gido can only watch with the rest of us!" The commentator said as Gon kept dodging the tops.
Killua: "No, not that way!" Killua shouted.
Gon: 'Oh, no! There's nowhere to run!' Gon thought to himself as a Top slammed into his arm.
-flashback over.-
Wing: "That situation could very well have cost him his life and he was enjoying it?" Wing asked.
Killua: "Yeah. And I would know. I've felt the same way before myself. But at least I pick and choose my battles. Once he's in the zone, he loses sight of everything else." Killua said.
Killua: "Oh! But he's not the type to break the same promise twice, so dont worry." Wing said.
Wing: 'Oh, dear. What have I done?' Wing asked himself.
Killua: "It's too late. We already know all the facts. Gon and me both. If you regret teaching us and want to back out, we'll find somebody else. Or we'll simply learn it ourselves." Killua said while smirking.
Killua: "You dont have to feel responsible. My brother can use Nen. Hisoka can, too. And Im not very sure about Y/n yet, but I'll just ask once he gets out. And if it is nen, then he would be a way better teacher than you could ever hope to. So Gon and I were bound to find out about it eventually." Killua said as he began to walk away.
Wing: "I understand. I intend to finish what I started. There are so many more things that I have yet to teach you." Wing said.
Wing: "Zushi is waiting in my room. You can train with him if you'd like." Wing said.
Killua: "Nah. I'll pass." Killua responded, surprising wing.
Killua: "I dont want to leave Gon behind. If he can keep his promise, we'll train together." Killua said.
Wing: "Give him a message for me, them! Tell him I will let him practice rhe other 'Nen', the flame! And tell him to work on Ten daily!" Wing shouted.
