Today was finally the day. I was finally getting married to Jalen Johnson, the guy that I over seen for all of my highschool. To say that I was nervous and anxious was an understatement. I wanted every single detail to be perfect.

"Aaliyah where's my vail?" I screamed. She ran to me "I don't know Miracle. Where'd you put it?" She asked.

"If I knew where it was. I wouldn't be asking" I said with an attitude.

"Miracle I know your nervous and everything but imma need you to tone it down." She rolled her eyes and walked away.

After a couple minutes she came back with the vail and my hair stylist put it on my head and finished my hair.

"Miracle" Aaliyah said catching my attention. Jalen said he wants to talk to you. He's on the phone."

I nodded my head and she brought he phone over to me. "Hello" I said into the phone softly.

"Hey baby. You nerves?" He asked. "No" I lied through my teeth. He stayed quiet on the phone knowing I was lying. "Maybe a little" I admitted.

"Yea that's what I thought. You don't have to be nervous. Just take a deep breathe." I followed his directions and did as he said.

"There you go. Your going to be fine. Our weddings going to be perfect. Let's just go so I can marry the love of my life." I smiled.

"I love you Jalen" he laughed "I love you too. I'll see you soon." He said before hanging up the phone.

"Alright" I took another deep breath. "You ready to be married sweetheart?" My mom asked me.

"I'm ready Mom." I took her hand in mine.

"How long do weddings take" Wolf asked me. I laughed "Patience Marshawn." I shook my head.

"When we get married. We're getting married at the court house. Fuck all this other bullshit" He scuffed.

I laughed and stared at him "When we get married?" I asked. He chuckled "I ain't proposing or nothing so go ahead and stick your neck back in."

Over the last few months me and Wolf has finally made it official. I didn't know if we were going to make it but at this moment in time we were good and happy.

I hit his chest "Asshole. I don't know why anyone would want to marry you." He grabbed my chin "Wanna find out?"

I stared at him "Your nasty" I shook my head. "Mhmm" He pecked my lips.

"Ariana?" Someone said standing over me. I looked up and saw Maurice. "Hey Maurice." I flashed a small smile.

We both stood quiet "Oh this is Maurice." I told Wolf. "Maurice this is my boyfriend wolf" I turned back to Maurice.

"Nice to meet you" Maurice held his hand out. "Same to you." Wolf shook his hand.

"I'm sorry about the party some months back." Maurice said to Wolf. "Your straight" he nodded his head. "Ion hold grudges" wolf added.

"Fashoo" Maurice said. "Enjoy your time Ariana." Maurice smiled. "You too Maurice" I smiled back and he walked away.

Wolf felt me staring at him "What you staring at me for" He asked in a laugh. "That was big of you Mr.Marshawn"

He lifted up from his chair "Well you know. Gotta mature at sometime" he flashed his collar.

I kissed his cheek "Good Job" I leaned back in my chair. Wolf grabbed my hand and held it and then wrapped his arm around my neck.

"Awee how cute" Melody said as her and Christian walked up. "Shut up" I playfully rolled my eyes.

"Looking like a perfect couple" Christian added as they sat down. "Says the two corny motherfuckas that are matching" Wolf said.

Melody and Christian were matching in navy blue. I couldn't hate because they looked cute.

I laughed at his joke. "We make it look good" Christian pulled Melody close to him. "Okay sure" I rolled my eyes.

"So are they about to come out or what?" Melody asked. "Umm I think so. It should be starting in any minute" I said.

At that moment when I said that, the officiate approached the stand and music stared to play.

Jalen was the first to walk down the aisle. Then the ring barrier.

"Awee look at my Kami" I said as Kamryn walked down the aisle passing out flowers in the ground.

After Kamryn came the bridesmaid and groomsman. "My wedding gonna be hood as fuck I swear" Christian whispered.

We all laughed "I bet it will be. Y'all gonna be playing dominos and dice and everything huh?" I asked him.

"Damn right" Wolf added and dapped up Christian. "Can y'all shut up. Here comes Aaliyah and Darius" Melody said waving us off.

I looked down the aisle and saw Aaliyah and Darius walking down the aisle with there arms interlocked with eachother. You could hear minor awwees as they walked down.

I smiled at them, they were such a cute couple. "Will we all stand for the bride" the officiate said.

We all stood to our feet and the standard wedding song started to play. Miracle smiled and her dress was stunning. She walked down the aisle with her mom and brother on her side.

Maurice and her mom gave there permission to Jalen and the ceremony started. The whole ceremony went by, they said there vows.

"Jalen do you take Miracle to be your beloved wife. In sickness and in health. In rich and poor." The officiate asked.

He smiled and nodded his head "I do" he then turned to Miracle. "Miracle do you take Jalen to be your beloved husband. In sickness and in health. For rich and for poor."

She smiled and I could see a tear fall down her face. Jalen wiped the tear off her face and grabbed her hand again. "I do" she said.

"Through the state of California. I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss the bride"

Jalen stared at Miracle for a couple seconds, then he didn't hesitate to kiss her. Everyone rose and clapped there hands.

They broke the kiss and walked back down the aisle. After all the bridesmaids and groomsman walked back down the aisle we all left.

"Time for the after party?" Wolf asked loudly. "Yes Wolf it is." I shook my head.

"Finally" Christian said as we walked to the cars. "Can't take y'all no where huh?" Melody asked while shaking her head.

We all laughed and it into our separate cars.

We all arrived at the venue for the reception. It was honestly beautiful. "Awee this is so pretty" Aaliyah said as we walked into the venue with her hand in mine.

"It is. This how you imagine your wedding?" I asked her. "I don't know. Maybe. A little different but yea"

"Mhmm" I nodded my head. She smirked at me "Why?" She asked skeptically.

"No reason. Just asking" I lied. I had plans for later tonight.

Miracle and Jalen came in. "I'd like to introduce you to Miracle and Jalen Johnson" the DJ said.

We all clapped and rose up. They did there first dance and we all watched. After they were done they served dinner and everything and then the party started.

"I'll be right back" I told Aaliyah. She grabbed my arm "Where you going?" She asked.

"I gotta find Jalen. I'll be back" I kissed her forehead and she let go of my arm. I looked all around the venue and finally spotted him.

"You got it?" I asked him. He looked around him and pulled it out. "You know I gotchu boy" he smiled.

I took it out his hands "I knew I could count on you. Thanks for this man"

"Anything for my bro. And you know Miracle has no problem with it. Do you man" he dapped me up.

"Respect bro" I smiled. "I'll get Aaliyah" he said. I nodded my head and he walked away.

I took a deep breath. "Ooo your really about to do this Darius." I said to myself. Jalen gave me a signal and I walked out.

"Jalen why are dragging me" I heard Aaliyah said. "Your so difficult. Just come on" Jalen replied.

Aaliyah sat in a chair in front of me with Kamryn in her lap. "Darius? What's going on?" She rose an eyebrow.

"Just watch." I winked at her. "Can I have everyone's attention please" I said in a microphone.

Everyone peered there attention to me "I have an announcement to make." I turned and looked at Aaliyah.

"What are you doing?" She asked again. I ignored her question and kept going. "If you guys don't know. My names Darius Boweman and this lovely women sitting in this chair is Aaliyah Colemon" I pointed at her.

She smiled nervously as everyone looked at her. "I've been in love with her since highschool. I didn't talk to her for four years and that broke my heart. When we got reconnected I found out that we had a lovely daughter named Kamryn."

"I never knew that I could love to people as much as I love them. I never knew how badly I wanted to spend the rest of my life with someone until I met you." Aaliyah smiled.

"Kamryn come here" I got on She hoped off Aaliyah's lap. "I'd like to ask you if you would allow me to marry mommy. And we be one big family" she smiled.

"Of course daddy" she smiled and I kissed her lips. I looked up at Aaliyah "Aaliyah will you marry me and be my wife forever?"

"Of course" She smiled and got up. I put the ring on her finger. "I love you" She said lowly with tears in her eyes.

"I love you too." I said as I picked Kamryn up off the ground and pecked Aaliyah's lips.

The whole crowd erupted into claps. "Thank you. Back to the wedding" I said into the mic. Everyone turned back around and continued to the wedding.

"Congratulations" Miracle said. "Thank you. Did you know about this?" Aaliyah asked.

"You knew about my engagement. Of course I had to know about yours." She smiled and pulled Aaliyah into a hug.

"Thank you for letting me do it at your wedding" I told Miracle and Jalen."

"Of course" They said in unison. "You guys enjoy yourselves." Jalen said and they both walked away.

"Your slick Darius Boweman" Aaliyah smiled at me. "Well I do what I do" I dusted myself off.

She shook her head "Mommy and Daddy are going to get married Kami" Aaliyah poked Kamryns sides.

"Yay" she grabbed both of our necks and pulled us into a hug. I smiled and kissed both of their cheeks.

"That was so cute" I told Ariana after Darius proposed to Aaliyah.

"It's was cute." Ariana said. I smiled, then dug my phone put my purse as I heard it ring.

"Hello." I said into the phone because it was a unknown number. "Melody it's your dad. It's your mom. You need to get to the hospital quick" he yelled into the phone.

I felt my heart stop and I hung up the phone. "I have to go" I said breathing hard and started walking fast.

"Melody where are you going" Christian said walking after to me. "Melody" he said as I kept walking.

"Melody talk to me" he turned me to face him. "I have to go. It's my mom Christian"

"Let me go with you"

"No" I yelled. I took a deep breath "I have to go. I'll call you later." I kissed his cheek. "Promise"

I continued walking to my car and drove to the hospital as fast as possible. I ran into the hospital and looked for my mom.

I ran to her room and my stepdad was in the room. "Where is she?" I yelled.

"She had a surgery for her cancer and there were complications." He said calmly.

"What complications. How is she" he shook his head "They said it's not looking good Melody. You should prepare yourself for the worse."

It was like my whole legs went numb, I fell to the ground and started crying. "No, No,No" I yelled. My dad pulled me into him.

"No not her. Please god don't take her away from me." I yelled in a cry. My brothers in jail and didn't even get to say goodbye and neither did I. I don't know what I would do if she was just taken from me.
