《ODDITY ⇆ DOCTOR WHO》0.39 | F.O.P

"WE, WE REALLY NEED TO GO." The Doctor tugged on Valarie's wrist, pulling her close to him and navigating the three of them through the crowd. Valarie looked back to the volcano, threatening to spill over. It made her heart hurt, thinking about all the people she passed who would be dead in a matter of twelve hours. But she knew this couldn't be stopped ; a fixed point in time.
The Doctor had explained it to her once before, during another brief plan of going to the Titanic like the Doctor had intended to take her since he had met her practically. She had asked him if he could stop it and he told her sadly that what happened to that ship and those people was a fixed point. Several major events in human history were fixed points.
"You're kidding." Donna gasped. The TARDIS was gone. No where in sight of where they had left it. "Don't tell me the TARDIS is gone."
"Okay." He replied. Valarie held onto his arm with one hand, looking around.
"So where is it?" Donna asked.
"You told me not to tell you." He replied. Donna swatted his arm.
"Oi, don't get clever with me in latin." She snapped at him. Valarie peeled away to a nearby vendor. She clasped her hands before her chest and smiled sweetly.
"Sir, excuse me. Excuse me." The old man's eyes shifted from his coins to her. "There was a big box right there. Big blue box. A big, blue, wooden box. You didn't happen to see where it went by chance, did you?"
"Oh, that hunk of junk?" he replied with a half smirk. "Yeah I saw it. I sold it."
"You sold it? But that wasn't yours!" Valarie began to argue. The Doctor and Donna joined her.

"It was on my plot, wasn't it?" He retorted. She opened her mouth.
"Why you-" As the profanities began to pass her lips the Doctor's hand clamped over her mouth, muffling her.
"Look, if you want it that bad why don't you go talk it would with Old Caecilius? He is on Foss Street. Big villa, you can't miss it." The Doctor nodded, mumbling a thanks as he uncovered Valarie's mouth. She immedaitly began where she left off in swearing at the man. He covered her mouth again.
"Come on, let's go before Val can make some soldiers blush." He told Donna.

Finding Foss Street was harder then it was made out to be. The three had split up, agreeing to meet at the middle of town again within a certain amount of time. Valarie waited, having been the first back when Donna approached.
"Did you find it?" She asked, sitting on the edge of a very short brick barrier. Donna shook her had.
"No, but I found something else." She said. The Doctor approached them, practically running.
"I found Foss Street!"
"I found something too. A theater, just over there. We need to get everyone in there - oh, do you think a bell could do it? Have bells even been invented yet?" Donna asked. The Doctor's eyebrows furrowed.
"Why do we need that?"
"To evacuate! We have plenty of time to get everyone out of here before Vesuvius erupts." Donna announced, smiling widely. Valarie opened her mouth and immediately shut it, pressing her lips tightly together as she figured it would be best to let the Doctor explain this one. She looked down at the rolled bottoms of her short overalls. She had worn these cut off overalls over a plain red t-shirt.

"Sounds great, but we aren't doing that."
"What?"
"It's a fixed point in time. We can't change that."
"Says who?
"Says me."
"What, and you're in charge?" Donna argued.
"TARDIS, Time Lord, yeah!" He argued back. The two were in each others faces now, and would have caused a scene if the people on the streets were already so loud.
"Donna, human, no!"
"Valarie, human, annoyed!" She jumped to her feet, getting between the two who reminded her of how her and her own siblings bickered. "Look, Donna. I understand you want to save these people. I do to, but if you stand in town square yelling 'end of the world' they'll call you a mad soothsayer." The Doctor raised his eyebrows, with an expression that read 'yeah, what she said'. She turned, sticking a finger in his face as well.
"And you could show a little more sympathy for Donna and these people, instead of acting like you could care less."
"I'm acting like I could care less?" He snapped at her. Valarie's eyes widened and her mouth fell slack. "I'm just trying to be practical."
"Oh, don't start this now, martian man." She whispered to him.
"Or what? You'll pout?"
"You're gonna regret that later."
"Oh," he stepped away, leading them towards Foss Street. "I bet I will. TARDIS, now!"

Eulisses Malinor is a prodigious and somewhat reclusive wizard with an unconventional outlook on life itself. The latter may or may not be related to him shedding the burdens of mortality some time ago. He claims that every wizard that takes pride in themself needs to reside in a tower in the middle of nowhere. It definitely has nothing to do with the Addia fanatics that continue to seek him out. Successfuly, much to his discontent. Ever out to ‘cleanse’ him, or bloody murder him if you'd ask the lich himself. But soon, that will no longer be a problem, as Eulisses has finally gathered every reagent - magical or otherwise he needs. He will tear open and stabilize a miniature Rift, essentially creating his very-own pocket realm in which even Addia’s gaze will no longer be able to reach him. Everything has been carefully planned out in advance, so there is no possibility of failure. You can maybe then imagine his bafflement, when instead of the nothingness of his successfully created pocket realm, Eulisses finds himself in a quite holy looking hall, amidst quite too-baffled looking fellows, in the centre of a gigantic summoning circle - allegedly, he cannot read the runes that make it up - and facing a young and quite fair maiden that stares at him quite wide-eyed.
