Herain was wearing her usual vintage dress style which Rhaveir bought a lot of it for her before

This time it was a white, cherry patterned vintage dress with a white laced sandal which matches her delicate face thus making her look more innocently beautiful than usual

Paired with her small bracelet made of gems and her diamond ring which she wore all the time whenever she is in her real self

With the white bandage still wrapped around her head, Herain looked like an adorable clumsy little girl

When Herain entered in Rhaveir's office, he was not there so she went to look for Elayne at her office but she was also not there

"Umm excuse me, where is the president right now?" Herain asked to the employee who passed by

"The president is having a meeting in the conference room with the management team" the employee replied as he gaze at Herain

"Would you be so kind as to lead the way?" Herain uttered with a smile

The employee shyly nodded his head as he lead Herain to the conference room

As Herain arrived, she slowly opened the door and peeked her small head in

Someone was talking in front while showing a presentation on the screen

‘They must be having an important meeting’ Herain thought to herself

Afterwards, her gaze landed on Rhaveir who was sitting on the center as he calmly watched the person presenting

‘He looks like an emperor scrutinizing his subjects’ Herain chuckled at the thought

Just then, Rhaveir's gaze suddenly landed on her and she immediately froze

‘Will he be mad that I was sneakily watching an important meeting?’ Herain shuddered at the thought

Contrary to her thought, Rhaveir smiled as he said "Come here"

Upon hearing that Rhaveir talk, the room went silent and the employee presenting immediately stopped

Everyone looked at Herain and being gazed by numerous people, she immediately felt embarrassed as she walked to Rhaveir with small steps

When Herain got closer, Rhaveir gently pulled her down to his lap making her sit on him as she faced a lot of people in suits

"Continue" Rhaveir calmly stated

The presenter immediately snapped back and resume his presentation while the others was left astonished

"Umm I think I should go wait for you in your office since you seem to be having an important meeting" Herain uttered as she stood up

However as she stood up, Rhaveir was quick to pull her back and he wrapped his hands around her waist

"Stay here" he whispered on her ears

Thus, Herain quietly sat on his lap throughout the whole meeting as she endured the shock gazes of people in the conference room including Assistant Ryuo who was still not used to their president's gentle side

After the meeting was finished, Rhaveir and Herain got out first while the rest was left behind

Everyone immediately crowded Assistant Ryuo as they bombarded him with a lot of questions

“Since when did our cold-blooded president got a girlfriend?”

“Are you sure our president isn't possessed by a ghost?”

“I thought our mighty president's type is a dignified sexy woman just like Secretary Elayne”

“I thought so too, I didn't think his type would be an innocent beautiful lady”

“President Wisteria and Secretary Elayne was such a power couple though”

“But they look the most adorable couple, the president and that lovely girl”

“No wonder our president was getting weirder, there was this one time that I saw him wore a bunny patterned dark blue necktie and I was sincerely shocked that he was wearing an adorable thing”

“He didn't just wear that one time, he wore that for 2 whole days and not only that but there's also a flower patterned maroon necktie”

“It's was too obvious that it was chosen by someone who had a bright personality, the exact opposite of the president”

“But is that really our president?”

“I agree, no woman has ever gotten that close to the president”

“And he definitely wasn't someone who would held a woman gently and looked at her lovingly”

“Assistant Ryuo, did our president got hit on his head?”

“Did he got brainwashed?”

The crowd of people who gathered around him made Assistant Ryuo's head ache

Assistant Ryuo heaved a heavy sigh as he uttered "Even I don't know what happened"

‘Everyone says Miss Herain is such an innocent lady when she's actually a cunning woman’ he thought to himself

Elayne who heard all of this as she slowly walked out thought ‘Herain and the president is a power couple though’

Elayne herself was also shocked by how their president act but it wouldn't surprise her if his affection is directed at Herain

‘Only Herain can outsmart and tame the president, that's why I admire her’ Elayne thought to herself

Meanwhile when Herain and Rhaveir returned to his office, the bodyguard was there politely standing on the side

‘If you're going to report it, I might as well beat you to it to avoid any misunderstanding’ she thought as she glanced at the bodyguard

Herain cheerfully smiled as she said "Rhaveir, did you know how good I was today?"

Rhaveir smiled as he pulled her down on his lap embracing her little figure

"What did you do?" he asked

Herain was sitting on his lap as his hands wrapped around her little waist

"I helped someone today, it was a poor man whose sick little sister shared the same room with Elayne's mother" she stated as she looked up at him

"How did you help him?" he casually asked as he gently stroke her head

"They were abused by his uncle so I went to the court and filed a case then that mean uncle was sent to prison" she replied

"They were so pitiful, that I can't resist but help them" she added

"That was brave of you but next time call me if something like that happens, what if that man had an intention to take advantage over you" he stated

‘If it is something like hidden intentions then it would be me rather than that innocent young man’ she thought

"I thought my boyfriend would be proud of me, I can't believe you see me as someone so weak" Herain uttered as she pouted

Upon seeing her looked down with sadness, Rhaveir became frantic and immediately held her hand

"I didn't mean that, I'm very proud of everything my girlfriend do and I will support whatever you want to do" he uttered with a smile

"Then can you stop sending someone to watch over me?" she asked looking pitiful at him

"You already know that I don't like it when every move that I make is being monitored" she added

"I was wrong, I'll have him dismissed" Rhaveir replied

Then he coldly looked at the bodyguard who was politely standing a distance away from them

"From now on, you are no longer allowed to follow Herain" he stated

"Yes sir" the bodyguard immediately responded

"You can now go" he uttered

Then the bodyguard immediately went out

Herain happily smiled as he placed a kiss on Rhaveir's cheek

"Thank you" she said with a smile on her face

Rhaveir kissed her lips in return as he said "Anything my girlfriend wants, my girlfriend can have it"

Herain got out from his embrace then said "Should we go home now?"

Rhaveir nodded his head with a gentle smile on his face

The next day, Herain went back to her disguise and the bandage that was wrapped around her head was already removed

"You don't have any scenes to shoot today?" Herain asked to Jax who was playing games in his living room

"Yeah, is your wound fully healed?" he asked

‘It's actually not that big so a whole day is enough to get it fully healed’ she thought to herself

"I'm fine, can I stay beside you?" Herain asked

"Do whatever you want" he replied

Herain casually glanced at Jax as she uttered "I heard that Dazzle is involved in an illegal business"

Jax stopped his game and looked at Herain as he said "A newbie manager wouldn't be able to know that"

"I heard it from Harold, you know the Franchester had always been supporting Dazzle Entertainment" she calmly replied

"I know that although I didn't know that man was a Franchester, so what about it?" he stated as he gaze at her who was talking to him about it as if it was normal

"I'm just curious since I don't want your reputation to get dirty just because the company managing you is doing such a lousy job" she uttered

Jax smirked as he ruffled Herain's hair

"What are you doing?" she asked as she grabbed Jax hand

"You're going to mess up my hair" she added

‘What if this wig fell out if you ruffled my hair’ Herain thought to herself

Jax chuckled as he said "Oh sorry"

"But you don't have to worry about that, I have my own plans" he stated with a smile

"What plans?" Herain asked

"Why are you curious about that?" he asked in amusement

"Is it bad if I involved myself to you?" Herain asked

"After all, I am your manager and it's my job to help you in whatever it is you're facing" she added

Jax grinned then looked at her eyes that was gazing at him as he calmly said "I'm planning on taking over Dazzle"

Herain was struck with surprise as she asked "How would you do that?"

"Forty percent shares of Dazzle belongs to me, I just need to get twenty percent of it then it will be mine" he replied

‘Forty percent of Dazzle belongs to Jax while the other forty belongs to Cory, the remaining twenty percent shares are from everyone else’ she thought

‘If it's Jax then it's possible, if Jax did take over Dazzle then it would be a lot harder than taking it from Cory’ Herain thought to herself

"Why do you want to take over Dazzle?" Herain calmly asked masking the nervousness she felt inside

"Just as you said, the current president is involving the company in an illegal business so I have to make sure I won't go down with them if they go bankrupt" he replied

"Just what kind of illegal business is it for that huge company to go bankrupt?" Herain uttered

"The president is a young woman who is investing a lot to her lover who is involved with drugs in an underground business while that woman's mother is addicted to gambling" he stated

"They are also using all of the company's profit so it would only be a matter of time before the company collapses" he added

‘Wait a minute, why am I even telling her this when I haven't even told this to anyone’ Jax thought to himself

Jax looked at Herain who was calmly gazing at him

"Does that mean Jax doesn't want to leave Dazzle so you are going to take over it?" Herain asked with an unwavering gaze

At that moment Jax realized, when those clear dark brown eyes stare at him with curiosity

He can't help but open up to her when those clear and innocent eyes was focused unto him as if he was the only person she sees in the world

Being in the entertainment industry, Jax was showered with a lot of gazes and most of them had the intention of taking advantage over him

Those lustful and dirty gazes which he was able to face calmly is different from the clear and determined gaze of the woman before her whom he can't bear to resist

"The previous owner of Dazzle was an old man who introduced me to the entertainment industry and told me that I would shine brightly when I was just a nerdy child who was born in a rich but broken family" he stated with a smile

‘That's right, Jax started his acting career when he was 15 and even though Dazzle was already a big company back then it was not as successful as when Jax took over the acting industry’ Herain thought

"He was the reason I am in this position today, so I won't stand back watching his company crumble" he added

‘I can see the sincerity from Jax's eyes, I'm glad my grandfather has someone trustworthy like you’ Herain thought to herself

With a smile on her face, she said "Jax is so kind"

Thump! Thump!

Jax froze as he felt a continuous loud thump in his heart

"Since Jax shared something valuable to me then I have a confession to make" Herain uttered

‘Confession?’ Jax thought with surprise as the loud thump kept getting faster

"What is it?" he asked

"Do you know Herain Vergara?" she asked

"The spoiled grand daughter of the old man, I had seen her once when she was a child but I already forgot how she looks like" he replied

"She is my best friend, she is planning on taking over Dazzle" Herain stated

Jax scoffed as he said "That so called Violent Maiden was thrown out at her own home, how could she manage a huge company as Dazzle"

"I can assure you that she can manage Dazzle, plus you do know that Harold is her ally" Herain replied

Jax chuckled as he said "So you really were not lying when you said the flowers he gave to you was for your friend"

"So you didn't believe me that time?" Herain asked in surprise

‘I thought it was a flawless lie considering the appearance that I'm in’ Herain thought to herself

Jax held a strand of her hair and tucked it behind her ear as he uttered "That's a relief"

‘Wait what?’ Herain thought in confusion

"What do you mean by that?" Herain curiously asked

Jax grinned then said "Anyway, I don't trust your friend whether in managing Dazzle or anything else"

"What if she can manage to take Dazzle from her step sister by herself?" Herain asked

Jax smirked as he said "Tell her, I'll give her 3 days"

"If she still isn't the president then I would have to make my own move" he added

‘3 days, you're kinda cruel aren't you’ Herain thought

Herain smiled as she said "Does that mean you're giving her a chance?"

"Well I don't really want to manage a big company, acting is already tiring so I can't add up more work" he casually replied

"Anyway, since today is your free day then I should go and let you have your own time" Herain stated as she got up

Jax suddenly grabbed his hand as he said "It's alright if you stay"

Herain smiled as she said "I can't do that, you rarely have a whole day for yourself due to your busy schedule so I don't want to ruin that"

Herain removed Jax hand that was holding him and immediately walked away

Jax scoffed as he mumbled under his breath "What kind of confession was that?"

Jax reclined on his seat as he covered his eyes with his hand

‘What's this feeling of disappointment?, what was I expecting?’ he thought over and over again

Herain opened her phone and called Nanny Ririko, her nanny since birth

"Young Miss it's been so long, how are you?" Nanny Ririko asked as soon as the call got through

"I'm doing great nanny, can I meet you up right now?" Herain gently asked

"Of course, where do you want to meet?" Nanny Ririko immediately replied

"I'll send you the address, I will be waiting for you there" Herain stated then ended the call
