《King of Freaks ✔》Chapter 7

Eliazer King's POV
waswalking home. My home wasn't far actually, around two blocks away from the Construction Site. Bryn had come by for some unknown reason, but I simply brushed it off. I had better things to do than watching someone come up with a lame excuse. And then it came.
The voices, the screams. I hate it when this unexpectedly happens, so I ran into an alley knowing I'm going to have another one of my episodes. The images flooded my mind. The people. The poor innocent people.
I kneeled to the ground beside a garbage bin, cradling my head in pain.
Just make it stop.
I was crying now, so I grabbed a thrown out water bottle that I saw from the corner of my eye. I hastily opened the cap, beads of sweat trickling down my forehead. Letting the water fall on to my face was one of the best things I've ever done. I gasped when the bottle was empty, throwing it off somewhere while wiping my face with my hand.
Thankfully, everything stopped, which I didn't expect. I got up, wiping my jeans even though they were already dirty. I walked my tool belt jingling. I took slow steps, wanting to calm my racing heart. I reached the apartment in no time, taking the stairs.
Fucking hate elevators.
I took out my keys upon reaching the apartment door. Once inside, I was surprised my roomie had company, which is very rare. None of us actually have company. But when I saw Bryn standing there, that changed everything.
Why the hell is she wearing my clothes?
"Guess what." Jared, the roomie, said. He had his hands clapped together and looked excited.
"Uh," I mumbled, looking at the door, pondering if I should get out or not.

"I could go if you want?" Bryn said, pointing to the door with her thumb.
"No. No, that's okay." I said. This is the first time Jared had anything close to a friend, and I wanted him to have that, so I let her stay. She mumbled an okay, going back to having a conversation before warily looking back at me. I went to the bathroom and took a shower, wanting to get away from her stare. I then noticed I made the dumb decision of not bringing any clothes with me, so I wrapped the towel around my waist.
I peeked out the bathroom door, making sure Bryn wasn't facing my direction before making a dash towards my bedroom. Honestly, I felt pretty stupid when I did that, not to mention my weight creaked on the wooden floor.
Oh God, she probably saw me.
I made a dumbfounded face.
And why do I care?
I started opening drawers, looking for clean clothes.
"Jared! Where are my..! - Oh right." I said, remembering Bryn was wearing my clothes.
That little turd had to give her my clothes.
Then again, Jared's clothes wouldn't even fit the girl. His shirts were too small and she would probably rip his pants if she even tried putting them on. Anyways, I just decided to wear a plain T - Shirt and some basketball shorts. I took the pills that were top of the desk on the corner, shoving the capsule down my pocket before getting out of my room. I really didn't want news spreading around about the freak and, this.
Bryn is popular, heck, even I'm popular, just not in the way people think.
The doorbell rang, bringing me to my attention. I opened the door and standing there were Yair and Thaine. I quickly went out into the hallway and shut the door behind me. Of course, Yair didn't waste time to speak.

"King man, we need you. We got a big problem here." He says, a worried look on his face.
"What's going on?" I ask, genuinely concerned about the problem in hand.
"There's a mole here. We need to get rid of him." Thaine added, handing me a large yellow envelope.
I invited them in and of course, Bryn had the worried look on her face. Yair and Thaine look like intimidating guys. Yair had his tattoos sprawled all over his body while Thaine was bald and had a goatee—not that it's bad. We went inside my room, Yair shutting the door behind me. I opened the envelope, observing the photos of a man talking with various other men.
"That's Thaddeus Hemlock. Turns out, Ivan Alvarez is paying him some good money, already told him where our stash is." Thaine said, pointing at the picture of another man, who looks Hispanic.
Ivan Alvarez.
He's one of the drug lords in this city and of course, a rival. I'm not involved in this type of stuff, but I owe Yair and Thaine, so I'm basically doing them a favor.
"We're planning on taking them out, but we need a few more soldiers," Yair said.
"By when?"
"By Thursday, midnight. Found out he's gonna meet Thaddeus at the car park, it's lonely and secluded, the perfect time for an ambush." Thaine says. I nod, putting the photos back in the envelope before stuffing them inside the desk drawer.
"In five days, huh."
"Five days King, we just need you for one night," Yair says, pointing his index finger towards the ceiling.
"Alright, I'll do it. I just need... Fifteen percent?" I asked, shrugging my shoulders.
"You got it," Thaine said, pointing his unlit cigarette towards me before trying to lit it up.
"No smoking." I bluntly said, knocking it out of his fingers.
"Right. No smoking. Got it." He replied, giving me the thumbs up.
"By the way, not to be nosy or anything, but... Who's the hotty with Jared?" Yair asked, craning the door a bit.
"Nobody, she's a nobody."
"Well then, if you don't mind..." He replied, dashing out the door. I quickly followed afterward, cautious of Yair being himself. Even though he's large, intimidating, tattooed covered man, Yair is strangely nice and hyper.
"Yair. And you are?" Yair said, extending his hand towards Bryn. Of course, she shook it.
"Bryn." She replied, giving him a strange expression before a blown out smile covered her face.
Damn you Yair.
Ash Stymest as....
River Spier! 🙃😮

Grimm Tales: A RWBY Story
Two years after losing everything, two sisters will try to rebuild the lives they one had, as well as mend the heartache left behind through their connection with the many strange cast of characters they meet, and the many strange story's they're caught up in. Grimm Tales is a RWBY fan fiction I wrote and illustrated from 2014 through 2016. Keep that in mind when experiencing the story and the art within it. Also keep in mind that this story is technically unfinished. I put this aside in October of 2016 after completing what you can call the "first season" of what was going to be a multipart series. Even though the entire story remains unfinished, things do end in a somewhat satisfactory manner.

Living With Magic
Arthur, a young magician, is struggling with crippling social anxiety. The issue has reached a point where he likely won't graduate from University. Reaching a crossroads, he must decide whether to try and return to a family he despises or make his own path in the world. Is the magical power he has actually beneficial in the real world? Authors Note: I'm terrible at writing a synopsis, but over time I hope to write a better one. One of my favorite series of books is the Magicians by Lev Grossman and I hope to follow that same line of thinking within my story. How would a society built around magic actually exist and is power and magic actually as great as other stories make it out to be? The story and characters will be completely original and I will try to update the story on a regular basis. Also, any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
