《King of Freaks ✔》Chapter 31

kissed Eliazer was a weekend, it's Monday now. I'm trying my best to avoid him, and I think I'm doing a good job. I haven't seen Jared yet, so I think so far I'm doing pretty good. Anyways, I've decided to skip most of my classes, I'm sure you can guess it's all the ones with Eliazer. But I can't run forever.
They say the past always catches up with you, and I don't doubt it for a second. I'd rather run for a while than to face everything now. Lunch period was going to start soon, so I was on my way to find Gemini and explain my entire situation. She always listens to what I have to say, as goes the same with her.
I finally found her by the entrance of the cafeteria as she was skimming through her phone. I took her forearm, dragging her to the nearest girls bathroom. She didn't complain, just followed along with furrowed eyebrows. Once inside the bathroom, I dragged her to the largest stall which was in the corner of the bathroom.
"Okay, I have some spicy shit to tell you," I told her flatly, creasing my eyebrows.
"Well... What is it?" She replied, furrowing her eyebrows once she noticed my expression.
"I kissed him."
"What?"
"I said I kissed him."
"King?" She replied with large eyes.
"Yeah, I kissed him and me... I don't know."
"Oh my god, wait till the guys hear this."
"No!" I yelled out in a panic. "We're not telling the guys. They're going to flipping freak the fuck out."
"Fine, we're not telling the guys. It's just our secret." She said with a nod. "So... What are you gonna' do bout' it?"
"I-I don't know. I've just been blasting off anytime I saw him." I said, rubbing my hand on the back of my neck.

"That's it?! You're can't run from this Bryn, he's gonna' confront you someday." She exclaimed, grabbing one my forearms.
"I know I know! I just-... Don't know what to do." I whispered.
"Don't worry, you'll figure something out. You always do." She said softly with a smile.
"I hope so."
~
I was at the store, buying myself a bag of chips when I saw a familiar head come in through the door. I gasped, ducking down one of the aisles.
Okay, I'm going to be smooth about this, you got this Bryn.
"Bryn? What're you doing?"
Abort mission. Act normal.
"Jared? Hey, didn't see you there buddy. I dropped my um-" I replied, looking at the ground. "Button."
"Wow. Cool button. I just don't see one." He replied, his eyelids halfway closed in a sarcastic manner. "Look, I know what this is about. I'm not stupid."
"Um, I never said you were. But if you're implying that you are-"
"That's not my point Bryn! I know what went on inside the bathroom, the puppy told me the entire thing."
"Eliazer told you."
"No, he didn't it was the pu-"
"What he say?"
"Awe, somebody cares."
"Shut up and just tell me."
Jared shrugged his shoulders, leaning back on his heel as he whistled.
"You're not going to tell me, are you," I said flatly.
"Sorry sunshine, it's not my story to tell."
"Fine! Don't tell me." I yelled, dashing out the door. I felt petty for yelling at Jared, he's a sweet kid and I just felt guilty after that. I didn't even buy anything from the stupid drug store. So, instead, I walked around the park, getting on swings whilst letting time fly. I hadn't even noticed that the sun had gone down.

The street lights were the only brightness illuminating the park. Honestly, I felt fear creep down my spine. Something didn't settle as I felt my heart drop to the pit of my stomach. I wanted to run, but something was holding me back. The fact that my legs felt like jelly didn't help much either.
I stood up warily, looking at my surroundings as I adjusted my coat closer to myself. I pulled on my hoodie, concealing my face. The last thing I wanted was people noticing that I was the girl that was walking solo on the streets. I took quick steps, looking back constantly.
After about a block of walking, I finally realized what was bothering me. I looked back, seeing a car that was slowly driving, following me. And I noticed the scariest thing. It was the same car that ran me over and popped my wrist. I couldn't tell who was driving, the darkness and the tinted windows just made everything more difficult.
I felt my throat tighten, I was scared. We weren't on the main street, and it was basically empty other than parked cars here and there. I was secluded, and I had almost no way out. And to make matters worse, I was in the middle of the street. Don't judge, but I usually walk on the street instead of the sidewalk.
I clenched my jaw as my heart rate accelerated. The car stopped once it noticed that I was looking at it. Suddenly, the headlights turned on and the car came to a roar, the screeching of his tires echoed as he came straight towards me, again. I panted, my legs didn't feel like jelly anymore, I ran with all my might.
I ran into the sidewalk, thinking it was a better decision than being in the street. I ran into an alley and the car followed me. I was in another street now, letting out little squeals of fear. I hid behind a mailbox, taking off my hood in an attempt to see more of my surroundings. I heard the car at the other end of the street as I looked around.
Then, I saw my chance to live. A car with the windows rolled down and somebody familiar inside. I dashed towards it, but it was on the other side and a little further up the street. At that same moment, the mystery car accelerated. I jumped in through the window, landing on the passenger seat while my head rested on Thaine's lap.
"Drive Thaine drive!" I yelled, interrupting as he was biting through his McChicken. Thaine didn't waste time, slamming his foot on the gas.
And we drove away.
