《Christmas Wish (Completed)》Chapter 31

My alarm goes off at two in the morning, I slap at the clock. I let out a groan and get out of bed immediately and walk straight to the bathroom for a shower.
The water helps to wake me for the day ahead. Sleep came so easy last night after the amazing day I had, but now the nerves are starting to kick in. I get out and dry off quickly before pulling out the most professional outfit I have.
I am in the kitchen watching the coffee make while I stand in my flats and a two piece women's suit outfit. The door bell chimes and I walk to the door, opening it up to Massie who is stands with a similiar outfit on.
"Ready?" She looks at me with a grimace.
"Yes. We got this." I slowly nod and try to make my words have the confidence that we both need.
Going back to the kitchen I make us a cup to go each. We get in her car and she drives to the next town over. We are to be there no later than four o'clock to start the paperwork and sign in process of the facility attached to the sistering hosptial.
We are a strange grouping of interns going through the exam. None of us were expecting to be able to test until April when the next testing session would be the normal, since it is normally held only twice a year. Some how they were booked and didn't want to push us off so instead they are holding this testing time just for our grouping of interns.
Massie parks the car and it seems all of us interns arrive at the same time. We get out of the car and look at each other as we all start to gather by the door waiting for the testing professional to open it for us all to come in.

Not a word is spoke by anyone. My mind goes through the basics and fast tracking over the things I have learned and know.
A woman unlocks the door and ushers us all inside to get out of the cold. With our jacks removed and placed on the coat hanger she informed us to do along with leaving everything in a locker that has a lock and key on it. We are to keep the key from the lock to the locker we each store our items in only throughout today and nothing else.
"Good morning. When each of you will be tested today. What you can expect is for the next ten hours you will go through the computer testing portion where you will answer over two hundred and forty questions. It should be a simple part of your testing for today, with each of these questions being multiple choice after the case presented. Once you have completed the computer base test you will move into this room and wait for your name to be called for the second testing of the verbal scernios based off the fields you have choose to pursue along with a few basic ones."
A man steps out of a office and stands next to the lady that had been talking.
"Because this is an ususal thing to have this done and the few of you that are here. You can each expect to leave this building knowing the results of your tests. The computer one will be generated immediately when you press that button on finish and we will hold those results as we go over the verbal testing." His voice sounds bored or like he hadn't had enough coffee yet.
One by one we step into the first room and take a spot at the computers. We begin the computerized testing. Part of these questions make me want to just pull my own eyeballs out of socket. Most of the questions seem to be design to confuse a person if not paying attention to detail close enough. Then there are questions are like pif easy and go on.

My behind is hurting from sitting in this chair for almost nine hours just as I hit the finish button. The thank you screen pops up.
Yeah, sure. Thank you for trying to trick me and make my nerves go through the roof all while my butt is now numb.
I scowl at the screen a brief second and stand from the chair. Walking out to the main room, I stand in the corner while I wait for them to call me into another room for the verbal testing. I couldn't even think of sitting right now or I may be stuck with my legs going numb next after my behind no doubt.
"Calista." A male spoke up from the side of me.
I walk to him and shake his hand just as Massie steps out of the first room, having finished her first test too.
I am instructed to sit in a chair in front of the desk. The man introduces himself and his assistants name that will be writing down everything from this testing.
He goes through many questions and scernios on how I would treat a pediatric patient or even a adult patient. As I am explaining what I would do he would snort or grunt and then pause me to space in another question as to why I would go over one treatment versus the other or to throw in new information he didn't start with.
All in all designed to make you think and go over everything. As there is many times things will pop up unexpectedly and throw a twist into the plans you may start off with while treating patients. Thus causing everything to be changed or things to be added into the plan of care.
It is another three hours in a chair before the verbal testing is complete and I am to wait back in the lobby area. It seems the order we came out of the computer room is the way we shuffle out into the lobby. I was the third out from the computer room and the third out from verbal testing, as there is enough of the testers to take on each of us as we finished the computer side.
My heart palpates as I wait for the last intern to walk out and stand with us. None of us have spoke since coming out with how we are all still nervous and lost in thought over the testing from today. We were provided for two meals while on the computer test.
The food as minimum and the fruit cup wasn't even touched this morning. I only had a sandwich that was brought in around noon for lunch. Click with one hand and bite with the other, eyes never leaving the screen. I don't think I even tasted the food.
Our breathes hold as the door opens and all the testers step out.
"You may check your emails that you each provided us with this morning and you will see your results immediately. We thank you each for coming in today and wish you each the very best. Never forget the oath you have taken as Doctors, it will help you for if the time comes that things are called into question." The main lady speaks and unlocks the door for us to all leave after grabbing our items and returning the lock and key.

Death's Daughter | Supernatural, D.W.
My life is normal, or at least relative to it. Really, how normal does life get, being the offspring of the most murderous of beings, the undertaker himself? Being Death's daughter isn't easy. Existence itself is a trying subject; even more trivial when it's based around taking the lives of (mostly) innocent people. The word mostly is an asterisk for people like Sam and Dean Winchester. My father informed me of them at a young age after a reaping that had obviously gone sideways. "If you have the chance," he instructed me, "drag those obnoxious cock roaches down to Hell, and leave them there."Then, one day, two flannel-clad idiots and their angel on a leash wander into my jurisdiction of the veil. My life has never been the same; my life has never been the preconceived notion of 'normal' that it once was.Disclaimer: I do not own any characters or plot lines from Supernatural.
