Once Nicolas and I step through the door, Tony smiles wide while walking over.

"How was the family trip?"

"It was the best!" Nicolas replies and goes into tell Tony all about it.

"Hope you got some pictures." Tony laughs.

"Oh I did. It was a blast and just a few days felt like it flew by." I chuckle.

Tony and I get to work on setting up the props for family portraits. It is that time of year again and it is fun to do but very basic on props for the most part. Seems like elegance is the major key to most of what every family wants for Christmas cards. Every once in awhile a family comes in wanting some silly type pictures, which are a blast to work but it has became rare moments for those.

Nicolas jumps onto his little side computer and is working on his schooling. There is times I am grateful he is on an online based schooling. Holly and I both have asked him if he wants to start public school, but he prefers to do it online. One of the reasons he gave us is because he is ahead in schooling than most his age and would be picked on being a younger kid in an higher class grades.

The door opens and Tony takes his customers over to the side. I listen as he runs through everything with the couple, with them explaining what they expect their cards to look like. Poor Tony is writing as fast as he can for the very specific couple. Before he gets to work on taking their portraits.

My customers walk in and more relaxed on what they are wanting and only ask for a specific font and style for the writing. The only part with taking my pictures the younger child is not wanting to smile for me. Nicolas walks over and starts making faces getting the young toddler to laugh. Making for some cute pictures for them.

With their pictures done, I walk over and to grab my tablet and show the couple.

"Can we also make an order for a large copy?" The woman asks.

"Of course." I nod and smile.

"We have never been able to get a picture with our baby smiling. He normal clams up tight with how shy he can be, so this picture is the best we have ever had someone capture." She smiles and wipes her eye.

"I can have it added to your order and ready for pick up at the same time the cards are ready. I just need you to come with me over to the counter and accept the new charge."

They follow me over and we get the extra print added to their total. It doesn't take five minutes and they are walking out of the shop happier than when they came in and I got an extra sell.

Nicolas is back on the computer doing his work. I take a step over behind him and kiss his head.

"Thanks Buddy, for helping to get the small child to smile and laugh." I smile down at him.

"Everyone needs good pictures and I want to make sure you keep the best thing for your shop, Dad." Nicolas smiles up at me.

He is going to be an amazing big brother with how smaller children tend to enjoy his little goofy attitude at times.

I move to sit in the other chair and listen as Tony's family is still wanting different pose after pose. At this point, I am curious as to when Tony will snap. Even being professional everyone has their limits before snapping and this couple is a way over the top. Just as I am about to speak up, Tony beats me to it.

"We have done over eleven different poses ma'am. There has to be one of these shots you like to use for your card. If is it something simple you don't like about the picture I am more than happy to edit it out. That is the only thing left I can offer because we have changed props as well."

I try to hide my smile, but he just handled that perfectly. There are going to be customers that just never seem to be happy but we can only do so much to try and please them. Tony has went over the top for this woman and her husband.

It seems like the couple is finally working with Tony and not being so stuck up. I smirk and log into the computer.

After working on the edits and making the Christmas cards my family for eariler wants along with the print out ready for them, I turn to the internet side. I look next to me and Nicolas is still working on his schoolwork, so I jump onto the website Holly and I found.

It doesn't take very long before I am paying for the items in the cart that I am ordering for Nicolas's gifts. Once I can the confirmation number I move out of the website and then delete it from my history.

Nicolas is smarter than most people give him credit for and he knows just how to snoop and find things. Curiousness get to him and he will look if he thinks he can get away with it because when it comes to gifts our son has no patience.

I stare at the computer because I need to find something for Holly for Christmas, but I have no clue what to get her. That woman is incredibly hard to buy for because she is so simple. There is nothing she truly needs and doesn't leave hints behind on what she would like to have because she likes everything we do.

"Your staring, Dad." Nicolas giggles.

"Trying to figure out something to get Holly for Christmas." I sigh and rub my face, putting my elbows on my knees.

"Mama has to use pens a lot for work. She is always saying she doesn't have enough or they come up missing." Nicolas shrugs.

I think on it. "We could see if they have anything personalized pens?" I muse over it.

I type it into the search bar and there is several different websites. I click on the one that has the best reviews and it states it can engrave anything onto the pens, which also come with refillable ink cartidges.

"I like that one." Nicolas points to a pen that is a set of two.

It is a light blue color with the clip a silver. "That is her." I laugh some as there are some white flakes towards the bottom.

"It would match her stethoscope we got her last year." Nicolas smiles.

I put it in my cart and for the engravement we have wrote out, 'With love to Holly Winters.' I get it ordered and then switch over to the other website to buy a Christmas charm for her bracelet along with a ring just for her, that is a Mother's ring. We know that Eve will be born this month of December because if she doesn't come by the twenty-seventh Holly will be induced, so it is easy to add Nicolas's birthstone and Eve's.

Everything for Holly is set to come to the shop for deliver as the gifts for Nicolas will go to the house.
