This has been an amazing Christmas already. I barely dozed the last two hours between watching over Holly and Eve.

It's now almost six this morning and Eve is almost three hours old. She has nursed like a pro and is sleeping in my arms. Holly stirs from a power nap, but it seems we both can't really sleep for excitement from her being born.

The both of us are just waiting for Nicolas to wake up and meet Eve.

A knock on the door has me looking up.

I stand from the bed holding Eve and open it to see Massie.

"Morning." I smile and move to where she can walk in.

"Good morning. I want to check over Holly and baby girl again before I get picked up. They worked on the roads overnight and they are pretty passable, so Mike is coming by to pick me up on his way to our house." Massie smiles.

Holly sits up and Massie checks her vitals and then a few other things. I lay Eve on the bed and Massie checks over her.

"You both are healthy. You know what to watch for and call me immediately if anything comes up. I am going to leave out so you guys can enjoy your small family over this amazing Christmas day. Text me later on what sweet girls name is." Massie hugs Holly.

I walk her out the door as a car is parked on the side waiting for her. "Thank you so much Massie."

"This is what friends are for and helps I'm a doctor with Holly. She is an amazing woman and I knew we would be friends when we met all those years ago. I'm so glad she found you and Nicolas." Massie smiles and walks out the door.

I lock up again and walk down the hall. Stopping at Nicolas's room, I walk in and gently wake him.

"Merry Christmas, Buddy." I whisper to him.

Nicolas pops his eyes open. "Merry Christmas Dad! Is she here?"

I nod with a large smile on my face. Nicolas bounces to the bathroom to brush his teeth and then rushes into the bedroom. Where Holly sits on the bed holding Eve.

"Merry Christmas little man!" Holly smiles at him and pats the spot next to her.

Nicolas walks over slowly and gets on the bed with so much care. He looks at Eve and smiles.

"She is so pretty." He whispers.

I grab my camera and Holly smiles and uses one arm to wrap Nicolas in a side hug.

"Hold your arms just like this." Holly moves Nicolas's arms.

She lays Eve in his arms and I can see Nicolas smile so big down to Eve. Holly moves and wraps her arm back around Nicolas's shoulders and lays her other hand in her lap.

Their smiles melt my heart and I snap a photo to always remember this day with the ones who have my heart.

Putting the camera on the stand, I set the timer. I walk to the bed and sit on the side of Nicolas opposite of Holly, placing an arm around his shoulders too.

I can hear at the camera snaps.

"Okay let's look up to the dresser." I chuckle.

We all do and then that is the end of the pictures, the other shots that will be taken are just more memories but I'm not going for any specific poses just rare moments of us together as a family of four.

Eve starts getting fussy and Nicolas's eyes go wide.

"Mama?"

"It is okay, little man. She probably needs a diaper change then to be fed." Holly laughs and picks Eve up.

Nicolas let's out a small breath. He grabs the diaper off the dresser along with the wipes.

"What are we going to make for breakfast?" Nicolas turns to me to where he doesn't see Holly change Eve.

I chuckle and we walk to the kitchen.

"Not sure just yet on that. What sounds good to you?" I look and see we can easily make anything.

"Waffles with whip cream and strawberries."

"Sounds delicious. Let's wash up and I will pull everything out." I nod.

We are working on making it up and as I check the waffle maker, Nicolas is grabbing plates.

"You turned awful fast in there when Eve was getting changed." I chuckle thinking over it.

"I don't know really. It just seems nasty. Plus I know Mama is feeding her without a bottle so I want to give them privacy." Nicolas laughs.

"Well Holly will put a cover on when feeding Eve in front of you, Buddy. The diapers can get nasty if she poops." I laugh and finish the waffles.

We get everything plated, as Holly walks out holding Eve.

"Let me grab the bassinet from her room. We are going to need it now." I kiss her lips as she sits in the chair.

I run and grab the bassinet from her room and carry it to the living room. I walk over and pick Eve up for Holly's arms then move over and lay her down as she sleeps peacefully from getting her stomach full.

We sit and eat breakfast together and Nicolas jumps up to turn the Christmas lights on. I turn on some very light Christmas music.

Holly helps to clean up breakfast and then we all move and sit on the couch together with Eve right next to us in her bassinet.

"I am so happy she came on Christmas day." Nicolas sighs.

"It is fitting for us." I laugh and pull Holly closer.

"Me too. I have everything I'll ever need right here in this room with me. I love you all so much." Holly smiles to us all.

I grab my tablet from the side table and we look at the pictures I got together. Sending them to Holly, she uses the one very first picture I got of Eve and sends out a mass text announcing that Eve Isabel Winters has arrived to our family and friends.

It doesn't take long before her phone starts dinging from all the texts back. Everyone is so happy and excited to meet her.

Nothing beats the last two Christmases we have had. If this is what it's like being with Holly for two Christmases now, I'm excited to see what our future holds. I can't wait to for our children to grow up together.

I love this woman with everything I have. I didn't think I would ever find love like this again after losing my first wife, my focus and love was on Nicolas only. I had an angel walk in and save my son and myself, there is no way I can ever be so grateful for her and love her even more.

"I love you so much snowflake." I mumble against her cheek and she turns her head up to look at me.

Capturing her lips in a passionate kiss, we break and I can see how her eyes shine with her love for me. We look over and Nicolas has moved to stand by the bassinet watching his little sister sleep.
