Just A Story
A world without magic. A planet like any other, where neither monsters, demons nor gods exist. A plain, maybe even boring, earth. A world where the only advantures are either written in books, shown on TV or games. Or so it was supposed to be. Until now. Events are happening that will shacke the world. Events that have only ever happened in the fantasy of man. And at the centre of all these events stands one person. Someone who is completely overwhelmed by the events. He will have to make decisions that may not change the fate of the world, but change his and the life of everyone around him. But he’s not out of hope just yet. With a dash of wit, a pinch of luck, and some very creative cooking, he might just find a way to recover his family’s legacy and take back his freedom. This project is a food-themed fantasy that centers on cooking and chefs. The setting spans a wide world featuring ingredients/recipes both real and inspired by traditional fantasy. I'll eventually be publishing it as a full-length novel (or series of novels depending on length). These are the first draft chapters. I'll likely be re-writing more than once, then editing before publishing, so impressions and feedback are quite welcome. I'm looking for an artist to make some concept art and a cover (the cover shown here is just a temporary placeholder). A stand-alone novel for now, but it may turn into a series down the road.

She was faced with no real choice at all but to become a ward of the noble house owning her homeworld, sponsored by them yet sworn to their service whilst being hurriedly packed aboard a starliner and sent to the sector capital for 'proper education'. Dragons are mighty and terrible, regarded with awe, strategically and politically important, but dragons do not run the Empire. She is also a sixteen year old girl who now needs to eat several times her own body weight in meat on a daily basis and is being driven by the urge to burn or consume all who 'thwart' her. She is being sent to an exclusive academy for the most capable scions of the nobility.
